The same can be said about ppl who own Mustangs. 2 people that I raced [Mustang owners] recently never paid me on the bet-the just exited behind me...probably cuz they were embarrassed lol. It depends on the driver. Your categorizing the driver with the car he owns which is NAIVE! I brag about my wins just as any racer, but I also talk about my losses to keep it fair. Then again, that's just me. [owner of 96 acura integra fully tuned runnin low 12's]
Props to the driver, breaking 15's in a stock (?) teggy takes some serious skill. As for the Stang, that's a '96-'98 4.6 car, worst Mustang since the Mustang II came out. And even at that, 16's??? Sad, sad driving.
i own a 5.0 and a da9 integra they are pretty well matched when stock but my point is the integra pushes more ponies per litre than my 5.0 and its cheaper for parts and to modify and it handles way better
I own a stock 91 integra 5spd. Theres a guy at work that has a 89 mustang gt convert. we race all the time going home from work. I can catch every gear just right and he will still pull away from me. His car has a cai headers and dumped exhaust. The guy in the mustang cant drive. Not haten on imports if thats what u like. I just drive my integra cause its cheap on gas. Saving my money to buy another camaro.
camao396=Just to let you know...your race between your friend doesn't mean anything. You had a 91 stock Teggy that ran 16's at best and your friend has a GT Mustang which already has more power than your average Mustang. So all your race concludes is that you had a slower car that was beat by a car built stock for performance.
lmaoo every1 hatin on integras.. dont get me wrong, but i love both american muscle n imports.. prolly the guy in the integra worked harder on his ride then the guy with the mustang.
the mustang should of smoked the integra, v8 mustangs run mid high 14's but the convertibles run mid high 15's i guess the mustang driver doesnt know how to race. my moms 2000 stratus could beat that integra
@laosracer12 And 15.9 @ 86 mph is fast? Lol. The Integra has a motor swap and bolt-ons for God's sake. My 1982, ill say it again 1982 Mustang (rated at 157 hp in the middle of the emissions crisis) bone stock with a single 2" exhaust pipe ran 15.3 @ 91 mph at this track. The Mustang driver in this video is the reason the car ran 16.1. It should have done a low 15 @ 90 mph. With a cheap dual exhaust, 75 dollar shorty headers and UD pulleys, my '82 managed 14.60s @ 94 mph, again at this track.
so then your side must feel dumb getting beat by a car that sounds worse than your lawnmower then huh? i like v8s but some four bangers got it, dont be hating because i chino car smoked a peice of shit ford. fuck ford, chevy all the way.
yes burning out tires do help, and they help ALOT, it gets the tires warm and sticky to improve grip, if any of you ever watched a real racing series, (not nascar cuz thats not racing) youll see that one of every teams top concern is to get the tires warm to turn in faster lap times
yess, burning out does make a difference u ignorant fuck. dont believe me? try it. also the driver of the 5.0 sucks dick if he is runnin 16's and loosin to a fuckin ricer. and also that integra sounds like shit.
ew i hate the sound of that integra sounds like a lil baby crying...'SternLX' is rite thats not a 5.0, and the driver was definately amateur...btw please sell your mustang and buy an automatic trans honda cuz u obviously can't drive a stick and your making mustangs look bad
that is a slow mustang, heating up the tires depends on what type of tire u are heating,in soft tires is were u can realy feel the difference, please check my videos
@1video11111 a burn out to warm the tires only helps if your using a slick or something like Nitto 555R's. A burnout on street tires does nothing. A hot street tire does not grip!!!
That 'stang isn't a 5.0. That's a New Edge body which means a 4.6L V8 or a 3.8L V6. Either way the 'stang driver needs to learn how to launch if he's turning in 16's.
so he swapped his stock b18a for a b18? all second gen integras in the U.S. come with b18's, except the gsr which has a b17 and if he swaps his b17 for a b18a his car will be slower.

with my 5.0 I win easily against a stock Integra

This win goes to the imports!

lol that integra was stock u idiots, i have a 90 DA teg that runs the same, n its stock jsut with a short ram intake, get over yourselfs

What I don't understand is how domestic-head's hate on imports saying "go up against a real 5.0" or something like that.
Well, yeah, no replacement for displacement. 1.8 vs 5.0? Well, I wish honda would make a 5.0 just so we could see whose technology spanks who.
inn0centxlilxgrl 4 years ago
yeah i agree. if honda made a 5000cc engine it would most likely be better.

the integra has a b18 which is a stock 156 horsepower engine which smokes slowmaro and crapstang all the time, it beats it with HALF THE CYLINDERS.

burning out warms your tires giving you more grip on take off it does help. not a big ass burn out just enought to warm up your tires duh

1) that integra sounds awful. i've heard more aggressive lawnmowers
2) and spinning the tires does help: it warms the tires, which makes them grip better
