@raptor660r4 I get my stuff from Health Cabin. It's a Chinese company but they have really great prices and good customer service. You can get bigger bottles at some US sites like Totally Wicked but you will pay $20-$30 for a 30ml bottle from a US site. I get my 30ml bottles for $9.
@UBRocked I'm a little scared to buy e-liquid from China. I wouldn't trust the safety of it as much as I would an american company. I mean China did use lead in their paint when making children's toys. lol
Very nice demo. I bought my ecig from smoke-light about a month ago the advanced 510 awesome cig you have to try it. Appreciate your tips about the poly fiber, dude. Thanks.
@boredatwork777 Give the guy a break. He's doing this video for free to help you and others, so unless you start paying him then keep your rude little trap shut :)
is it best to push down the polyfil all the way down to prevent it from touching the atomizer or is it better if it is, or what? which way is better for a smooth drag?
@harvesterofhope420 Yeah...the "cone" is pretty great for keeping the liquid in. I own a EGO as well and it has been a nice addition to the e-cigs I own.
NIce Video. I like using the Blue foam. I cut it thick on top to plug the top of the cart but very narrow leading down into the cart for wicking. If you like, you can use my free eJuice calculator to mix your own e-Liquids. Google "eJuice Me Up" Keep on Vaping,
coming back to this video a few months after filling carts, i finally see what you mean by there being too much polyfil. very much appreciate the vid, it's probably the most informative i've seen. keep vapin' brotha.
is it possible to put just water in the e-cig instead of the nicotine and inhale pure water? i was looking to use an E-Cig as a prop in a film project im working on.
@xjoshyuux No not just water. You could use LorAnn flavorings to flavor a mixture of equal parts water and vegetable glycerin (cake decorating isle should have this at most stores...brands like Walton). You need something that will actually produce vapor and water alone wont do that for you.
@crazymix305 The best thing I have found is called Fluval at Petco. It is for an aquarium filter. If you cut a small piece emphasis on the small put 7 drops of juice in the cart. Put the Fluval in not tight and cut it with about 1/16 of an inch past the end of the cart. put a few more drops on the fluval an poke it down flush. Let the wick do the rest. It will last for hours. It gives great vapor and taste. I am using 510 atty 6v in a silver bullet and juice from Tasty Vapor.
@mscouple I would only use it 2-3 times...just until the fluid stops flowing freely. Eventually, it will seem completely dry, but it will take less drops to fill. This is a sign that you are loosing efficiency and probably wasting juice that is getting trapped in the top half of the cartridge. Plus, you will be topping off constantly. If you have to top off every 10 hits...what's the point right? You might as well be direct dripping at that point.
That is the exact fluid that I am using. I love the flavor. I got it from cignot. Great taste and vapor production. I also use it in a Joye510. And you are right. Direct dripping does seem to give a much better flavor and throat hit. Great tips. I wasn't sure if regular poly fill would work. I have been trying to to find the pyramid tea bags but nobody around here carries them anymore. Thanks for the video. Great work
@originalcureboy You can try fluval as well. It is material used in aquarium filters. A good man by the name Froggysan has made a video about how to do that...You can find him as he is one of my subscribers...just go to my channel and look him up.
@finallife0001 Wal-mart, craft stores, etc. Just make sure that it is NOT labeled as "Fire Retardant". That stuff has chemicals that you wouldn't want to inhale if a little strand of it got caught in the heating coil.
Wal-mart, craft stores, etc. Just make sure that it is NOT labeled as "Fire Retardant". That stuff has chemicals that you wouldn't want to inhale if a little strand of it got caught in the heating coil.
That has got to be the funniest question ever. Give the teddy bear back to your kid and go to the store! J/K, actually there would be nothing wrong with that as long as you know what the filling is (should not be fire retardant)...
It is actually polyfil (which is synthetic...not cotton) but yes it holds the liquid. When the cartridge is inserted, the polyfil saturates the metal wick (called the atomizer bridge) and then it absorbs into the wick allowing the heating element to be surrounded by liquid. As you vaporize the liquid, more liquid is absorbed until the cartridge is empty.
Go with the 510. Best starter e-cigarette and it is still the best overall e-cig in my opinion.
I just wanted to say thanx for this Video. The wife and I just switched to the 510 about a week ago and I have to say neither of us have touched an analog in that time. I referenced a lot of video's on YouTube on how to refill carts and I have come to find out that this demo that you have here is what I tried and over the others including the teabag method, this was by far way superior over the rest. Worked flawlessly and we get excellent throat hit and excellent flavor. So Kudos to you for this
I'm not sure where you got that idea but no, I have not had a regular tobacco cigarette for almost a year. I still love vaping and as long as e-cigarettes are available, I will never go back! E-cigarettes are just superior devices in my opinion.
I watched the video again to understand where you were coming from. I see now. Think about when you get a new car...you look for excuses to drive everywhere at first but then (even though you still like your new car) the "newness" wears off and you just drive when you need to. Kinda what I meant. I am not constantly vaping and running batteries down in 1.5 hours anymore. I am doing some work on my cpu right now with a 510, 801, and 901 several bottles of liquid here. No tobacco cigarettes.
The way mine is acting you can get a big hit only sucking for like a second! Is that because its so new you think? Its producing hella vapor, without direct dripping... No extra VG or PG mixed in it all... Using Health Cabin Liquids
Looking at your other comment, I think you are having issues with the amount of e-liquid flowing to the atty. Also, when you have a new atomizer, it can suck up a lot of juice the first time you use it. If the wick is completely dry (the metal horseshoe) it can soak up 5-6 drops without problem. I would take out the polyfil in one cart (keep that cart for dripping) and drip a few drops on the atty. If you overfill...no harm done with the manual batteries.
I am using that same Poly-Fil you have in my blank cartridges... I just noticed it looks like the poly-fil closest to the atomizer is all melted. The Cartridge isn't melted. Just poly-fil inside. I did it just like you, even pushed it back down a lil farther... Maybe this is why all my juice taste like crap!
It would seem as if you are out of juice in the cartridge. The polyfil won't melt if your cartridge is moist. Don't worry, the crap that is going on happens to all of us when we first start. The problem with cartridges is that the liquid does not always flow to the atty as fast as you can burn up the liquid by vaping it. You don't want to inhale burnt polyfil. I don't know that it is that harmful (can't be good for you)...but it is definitely nasty tasting.
You can find it at local craft stores. You can get polyfil (polyester fiberfill) or you can also get fluval (which is a material used in aquarium filters. The fluval is more "sponge like" and many people like using that. Try both and see what works best for you.
I hear you can get polyester fiberfill at Walmart in the craft section. Can you get fluval somewhere in Walmart too? Maybe the aquarium section? Otherwise, where do I get that stuff?
Yeah, Wal-mart will have the Polyfil. As for the fluval, if Wal-mart doesn't have it, you can find it at any store with large aquarium departments (Petland for example).
Sorry to keep bothering you. I've read some stuff that says you need to make sure you don't get polyfill that's been treated with chemicals. If I buy the fluval foam do I have to look out for the same type of issues?
No bother. Yeah, I've heard the same thing. Watch out for "fire retardant" polyfil as that is treated with chemicals. Fluval is okay because it is designed to be used in sensitive aquatic environments. check out "froggysan" (one of my subs) as he made a great how-to vid for using fluval.
Depends. Atomizers CAN last well over 6 months. But, you could pop one of them in a few weeks. It depends on several factors but the most critical is temperature. If you keep the atty wet, the e-liquid acts as a cooling agent. If you heat it when dry for prolonged periods it can overheat and die. With a 510 I average about 3-4 months per atty and I have not had many failures to speak of in normal use.
You don't have to change it every time. You can top it off but eventually the fiberfill compresses (gets pushed into the cartridge and doesn't keep the wick wet). The fiberfill also can get a little burnt over time and you will notice it starting to turn yellowish brown.
Yeah, I have done it a few times but I am back to dripping because I don't like to spend the time getting the carts ready everyday. I only build carts when dripping would not be convenient...like a long drive or something like that.
The one in the video is from Totally Wicked. I get my stuff now from Health Cabin. It is inexpensive but shipping is expensive and it takes at least one week to get it.
I guess that depends. Health Cabin is cheaper on everything. Totally Wicked has really great juice and shipping is much faster. As far as equipment goes...it doesn't matter so the less expensive, the better.
Have you blow the atomizer out? Take the atty off of the battery and using a paper towel to catch the liquid, blow through both sides of the atty to get out the e-liquid residue that can build up over time. You may want to blow through each side several times but that should help. If not, you may need to do a more intensive cleaning. What you are describing happens to me if I don't blow out my attys at least once every few days (maybe a week).
i never knew liquid could clog the atty like that but now im sure because i purchased another atty and the same thing happened. first fresh suck on a new atty had the cigarette feel, esay. now it feels a little rough
Check out my video titled "510 tips and tricks - simple style". There are some quick and easy fixes I use daily to keep the 510 and other models running smooth.
Yeah, that's normal. You will notice that when you have a full cart (or have just dripped). You will notice that as your atomizer runs dry, the bubbling sound stops because there is no fluid down by the heating coil (and thus the holes in the atty that you are drawing air from).
when I first used a pre=filled cart when I first got mine it was kindof silent tho and now theres alittle bubbling sound even if im pressing the button but not sucking
Okay, I understand what your saying. I have 2 510's with me (one atty is considerably older) and both of them make the same sound when you press the button. Both of those attys also work perfectly fine so I'd say it is normal. I never really paid much attention to it to tell you the truth and I have to hold it close to my ear to even hear it. Is your e-cig working alright?
No, I bought it from a local craft store called "Michaels". You can find it at Wal-Mart or any craft store...it's everwhere. Just make sure NOT to get anything label "Fire Retardant".
iv been looking at e-cigs and i cant deside between the joye 510 or the dse 901 iv herd the joye hes a great throat hit and vap product. but it gets really really hot what do u think plz reply
The throat hit on the 510 is great! As far as getting too hot...I'd say that whatever you heard is overstated. The 510 burns hotter which is why you get the better throat hit. If the atty gets dry, it will get pretty hot. Keep the atty moist and you'll be fine..it does not get that hot. I would advise you to have a 510 cause it's great. You might want a 901 as well but the 510 is a must! Hope that helps!
alright thanks....what do you mean by keep it moist...this will b my first one so i dont relle kno much so yeh....im jst gunna order the starter kit and mayb when thos carts run out ill drip but we'll c
When you use cartridges, it takes awhile for the liquid to make it's way to the atomizer. Ex. If you take 10 hits rapidly, the liquid doesn't flow fast enough (in most cases) to catch up. Or if the liquid If you are dripping and it has been awhile since you dripped, the 510 may still produce vapor, throat hit, and flavor but the atty could be dry and there is no liquid to disperse the heat. Its not a big deal...Enjoy! Once you get your kit, PM me with questions as they come up and I'll help.
Polyfil is like a synthetic cotton and yes Wal-Mart should have it. Make sure not to get the fire retardant variety as this has chemicals in it that would probably not be healthy to inhale.
No I have not but I am going to spring for a 901 and possibly an 801 as well the next time I stock up on juice. I am getting a little low on my flavors so I think I will be putting an order in soon.
Their 510 looks to be a Joye branded product. I'm sure the quality is fine but I will make a vid either way when I purchase e-cigs from them.
I have purchased the majority from Totally Wicked and Health Cabin. Totally Wicked has really good quality juice, but you pay for it. Approx. $30 for 30ml is pretty steep considering I vape about 2 or 3 ml per day. Health Cabin sells good juice (maybe not as good as TW) but it is much cheaper. You can buy single bottles for approximately $10 for 30ml. Also, Health Cabin will sell in bulk (10 or more) for even less.
Yeah, one cart would do you but I would recommend having a few so you can have them pre-filled with various flavors (unless you ONLY drip). If you have a PCC, it will hold 1 atty and a total of 3 carts. I would recommend having at least 5 carts and make sure you clean them often. Think of it like a disposable water bottle...you can refill them but at some point you would want to clean it.
I got mine at a local craft store. This is "Polyester Fiberfill". You should be able to get some at Wal-Mart as well. ***Important note*** Do not get any Fiberfill that is labeled "Fire Retardant" as I have heard that there is a chemical in it that should not be inhaled. I don't know for certain if that is true but I thought I would pass it along.
I don't know if it is "identical". The manufacturer carts seem to have a material (definitely similar) that is a little more "spongy". I know that is not the best description but I think it is just the way the produce the carts. They seem to have material that is a little stiffer than normal polyfil but the polyfil does a fine job if you use the right amount and don't pack it too full. I hope that makes sense.
How often do you put in fresh pollyfill? Also, why don't you just take the old pollyfill, run it under hot water, dry it out and use it again? I'm also wondering how often you change to a new cart. Thanks for the video.
I typically change out the filling every 2 days but I am meticulous about them. I notice that the carts only hold up (even with the straw mod) for about 2-3 top-offs.
What do you mean by change to a new cart? If you mean, how long do I use the mouth piece before tossing it, I would say I have yet to discard a cart. I just wash and re-use.
I don't rinse the polyfill because it is cheap and I think it is easier, quicker, and better to just use fresh fill material. Does that help?
I am going to get teabags over the weekend and try it. RhoNYsEcigs does a great job of showing the best ways to fold and cut the pyramid tea bags. He can fit 20 drops of e-liquid in a cart (and it doesn't leak)! Thanks for the comments!
Great vid.....I'm very new to e-cigs so was really relieved to hear that you puffed a lot on them at the start but that you don't need to puff as much now. Was really worried abut how many puffs I've been taking on these things since I got them but much happier knowing you've leveled out :)

I guess that depends. Health Cabin is cheaper on everything. Totally Wicked has really great juice and shipping is much faster. As far as equipment goes...it doesn't matter so the less expensive, the better.

That's funny! The only thing I'm usually concerned with is how many "ums" I say in the course of videos...I just can't help saying "um"...haha!

ive noticed one of my atomizer are a pain to suck in... it feels like something melted over the holes
Pauliskimchi 2 years ago
Have you blow the atomizer out? Take the atty off of the battery and using a paper towel to catch the liquid, blow through both sides of the atty to get out the e-liquid residue that can build up over time. You may want to blow through each side several times but that should help. If not, you may need to do a more intensive cleaning. What you are describing happens to me if I don't blow out my attys at least once every few days (maybe a week).
UBRocked 2 years ago
i never knew liquid could clog the atty like that but now im sure because i purchased another atty and the same thing happened. first fresh suck on a new atty had the cigarette feel, esay. now it feels a little rough

Check out my video titled "510 tips and tricks - simple style". There are some quick and easy fixes I use daily to keep the 510 and other models running smooth.
UBRocked 2 years ago
sounds like yours makes that bubbling sound when your sucking in too. is that normal?
burnfastordie 2 years ago
Yeah, that's normal. You will notice that when you have a full cart (or have just dripped). You will notice that as your atomizer runs dry, the bubbling sound stops because there is no fluid down by the heating coil (and thus the holes in the atty that you are drawing air from).
UBRocked 2 years ago
when I first used a pre=filled cart when I first got mine it was kindof silent tho and now theres alittle bubbling sound even if im pressing the button but not sucking
burnfastordie 2 years ago
Okay, I understand what your saying. I have 2 510's with me (one atty is considerably older) and both of them make the same sound when you press the button. Both of those attys also work perfectly fine so I'd say it is normal. I never really paid much attention to it to tell you the truth and I have to hold it close to my ear to even hear it. Is your e-cig working alright?
UBRocked 2 years ago
It works fine now, I guess I just had alittle trouble filling the carts earlier

do you buy ur polyfill online?if yes where?"
dmethekid 2 years ago
No, I bought it from a local craft store called "Michaels". You can find it at Wal-Mart or any craft store...it's everwhere. Just make sure NOT to get anything label "Fire Retardant".
UBRocked 2 years ago
iv been looking at e-cigs and i cant deside between the joye 510 or the dse 901 iv herd the joye hes a great throat hit and vap product. but it gets really really hot what do u think plz reply
skaterfreakz28 2 years ago
The throat hit on the 510 is great! As far as getting too hot...I'd say that whatever you heard is overstated. The 510 burns hotter which is why you get the better throat hit. If the atty gets dry, it will get pretty hot. Keep the atty moist and you'll be fine..it does not get that hot. I would advise you to have a 510 cause it's great. You might want a 901 as well but the 510 is a must! Hope that helps!
UBRocked 2 years ago
alright thanks....what do you mean by keep it moist...this will b my first one so i dont relle kno much so yeh....im jst gunna order the starter kit and mayb when thos carts run out ill drip but we'll c
skaterfreakz28 2 years ago
When you use cartridges, it takes awhile for the liquid to make it's way to the atomizer. Ex. If you take 10 hits rapidly, the liquid doesn't flow fast enough (in most cases) to catch up. Or if the liquid If you are dripping and it has been awhile since you dripped, the 510 may still produce vapor, throat hit, and flavor but the atty could be dry and there is no liquid to disperse the heat. Its not a big deal...Enjoy! Once you get your kit, PM me with questions as they come up and I'll help.

The 510 does get hotter than other atomizers during heavy use. But its nothing to worry about, its not so hot that it will burn you or anything else.

sorry to sound like an idiot but is polyfil, cotton? if so can i get it from walmart?
vaelemin 2 years ago
Polyfil is like a synthetic cotton and yes Wal-Mart should have it. Make sure not to get the fire retardant variety as this has chemicals in it that would probably not be healthy to inhale.

Have you bought any e cigs from Health Cabin? Seen the cheap prices on the e cig. Just wanted to know how good they are, thinking about buying one.
queenena1 2 years ago
No I have not but I am going to spring for a 901 and possibly an 801 as well the next time I stock up on juice. I am getting a little low on my flavors so I think I will be putting an order in soon.
Their 510 looks to be a Joye branded product. I'm sure the quality is fine but I will make a vid either way when I purchase e-cigs from them.
UBRocked 2 years ago
cool, looking forward to see more vids from ya! u have really helped me out a lot!
queenena1 2 years ago
where do you buy your large bottles of liquid?
queenena1 2 years ago
I have purchased the majority from Totally Wicked and Health Cabin. Totally Wicked has really good quality juice, but you pay for it. Approx. $30 for 30ml is pretty steep considering I vape about 2 or 3 ml per day. Health Cabin sells good juice (maybe not as good as TW) but it is much cheaper. You can buy single bottles for approximately $10 for 30ml. Also, Health Cabin will sell in bulk (10 or more) for even less.
UBRocked 2 years ago
Do you have to buy blank carts for this or can you use those flavor prefilled carts that usually come with a starter kit? Thanks for the video.
blumonde 2 years ago
You can use the carts that come with the kit. They are the same as the blank carts except for the fact that they come filled with liquid.
UBRocked 2 years ago
you mean i only need 1 cart?! *cancels 10 cart order*
time to visit walmart!
Benwhitc 2 years ago
Yeah, one cart would do you but I would recommend having a few so you can have them pre-filled with various flavors (unless you ONLY drip). If you have a PCC, it will hold 1 atty and a total of 3 carts. I would recommend having at least 5 carts and make sure you clean them often. Think of it like a disposable water bottle...you can refill them but at some point you would want to clean it.

where do you get the filler material?
MethodicalChaos 2 years ago
I got mine at a local craft store. This is "Polyester Fiberfill". You should be able to get some at Wal-Mart as well. ***Important note*** Do not get any Fiberfill that is labeled "Fire Retardant" as I have heard that there is a chemical in it that should not be inhaled. I don't know for certain if that is true but I thought I would pass it along.
UBRocked 2 years ago
What you use is the same that comes in titan carts?
MethodicalChaos 2 years ago
I don't know if it is "identical". The manufacturer carts seem to have a material (definitely similar) that is a little more "spongy". I know that is not the best description but I think it is just the way the produce the carts. They seem to have material that is a little stiffer than normal polyfil but the polyfil does a fine job if you use the right amount and don't pack it too full. I hope that makes sense.
UBRocked 2 years ago
How often do you put in fresh pollyfill? Also, why don't you just take the old pollyfill, run it under hot water, dry it out and use it again? I'm also wondering how often you change to a new cart. Thanks for the video.
ping1200 2 years ago
I typically change out the filling every 2 days but I am meticulous about them. I notice that the carts only hold up (even with the straw mod) for about 2-3 top-offs.
What do you mean by change to a new cart? If you mean, how long do I use the mouth piece before tossing it, I would say I have yet to discard a cart. I just wash and re-use.
I don't rinse the polyfill because it is cheap and I think it is easier, quicker, and better to just use fresh fill material. Does that help?
UBRocked 2 years ago
Thanks for answering my questions. Have you tried using a tea bag as a filter? I found I got bigger hits and it held more juice.
ping1200 2 years ago
I am going to get teabags over the weekend and try it. RhoNYsEcigs does a great job of showing the best ways to fold and cut the pyramid tea bags. He can fit 20 drops of e-liquid in a cart (and it doesn't leak)! Thanks for the comments!

Great vid.....I'm very new to e-cigs so was really relieved to hear that you puffed a lot on them at the start but that you don't need to puff as much now. Was really worried abut how many puffs I've been taking on these things since I got them but much happier knowing you've leveled out :)
