  • 7:28 Cue the creepy 70s electronically produced music.

  • Finally serious cryptozoologists using evidence to find the creatures instead of creating massive books on how it evolved. These people are actually doing something constructive with evidence.

  • @adamindahouse1 "Finally"? This was made in the 1970's.

  • @GoGojiraGo yes good point I didn't realise. thanks for the correction.

  • i,am sorry but these guys look like they are going to the congo to make love, not that theres any thing wrong with that.

  • and up to this motherfucking day no one has come close in spotting or capturing the mokele-membe hell even Monster quest tried it and they fuckin fail all that expensive trip to the dangerous Congo was a waste of time.

  • It's as big as an elephant...or maybe a hippo...

    hmmm...

  • lmfao @ the cabbie....today that cabbie would pull out a gun......"what the fuck you say about african dinosaurs motha fucka"

  • there are many parts of the world not yet explored by humans because it's hard to survey those parts by foot.

  • i wasn't even alive when this was on tv! i feel special being able to watch it now even though the hole world can watch it too and it really isn't that special... but what the heck, i'm still happy 'bout it! XD

  • cryptozoology is the study of animals that are hidden from men, yet to be indentified.

  • whats cryptozoology?

  • well the anaconda is real in 2007 in Colombia they found a fossil of an anaconda at 55ft long and 4ft tall well as big in this video but who knows

  • the largest fossil snake was a Titanoboa at 42 feet.

  • aaaaaah no. is this anaconda they even put it on the news they also seid that it could eat a holl caw no problemo.

  • @farinango lol no where near 55ft, it was 33 feet numbnuts

  • Man tells chargo cabbie he carrying a machete because he going to the congo looking for dinosaws that look like hippos. Wish still had this on TV today.

  • dragons are including dinosaur

  • I remember watching this show when Discovery Channel was really cool. Now they have maybe one good show.

  • Yes, what hapened with the science today? Athur C Clarke was acused of child trafic. He maybe speaked about problems like supresed knowledge.

  • I didn't hear anything about that. When was this supposed to happen?

  • I was in general school then, 8-9 years ago. It was shocking for my at that time when I was watching and reading his work. Today all coud be explained, its about politics and nwo.

  • Oh, okay. That sucks.

  • I personally believe that the earth is growing and pangea is a myth. However I believe that these animals existed and as the earth grows larger the animals within it become proportionally smalller. Look at dinosaurs for example and their physiology, their structure now would simply break in earths heavier gravitational force compared to then when the earth was smaller. This leads me to think that the odd rarity will slip through the evolutionary tract and still be around.

  • Earth must be growing larger, or at least gaining mass. Gravity pulls new objects into our atmosphere, but nothing is removed from earth except things humans put in space.

  • @redcardigan12345 lol repeat after me:

    I am sofa king

    we todd did

  • lol. you got to love those 2 scientists. this was before the internet so i guess they must be real scientists and not some dodgy doctorite of the net. i love the wig one of them is sporting. The 80's ,youve got to love that decade

  • @ronyeats yeah lol. this is my favorite episode of the show because of those two guys. The guy with the toupe is hilarious. They're both such weirdos it makes you feel like you're watching a MOCKumentary like "This is Spinal Tap". I mean, walking through O'Hare airport with an African spear? lol Those were the days.

  • this is awesome....only for the poeople wjo know how to think for themselves

  • I wish you were intelligent.

  • there is so much that we don't know.

  • @tyrone9009 YES YE :D

  • @tyrone9009 but now we are in 2011 ^^ and we dont know more ;-(

  • @tyrone9009 its funny we know more about space then our own oceans!!!!! and their can't be criptids? Really?!!!

  • This and the In Search Of... series hosted by Nimoy were two of the absolute best shows on television IMO. They sparked the imagination and got me interested in the world around me. It got me reading about things that I suddenly found fascinating instead of wasting my time playing with GI Joe or chasing footballs.

  • Wasn't the leonard nimoy series called "great mysteries of the world"? I loved that show and it too got me into the paranormal

  • I think it was called In Search Of. i heard it on I Love The 70's

  • how old is this doc.?..looks very old

  • 2:40 cute. lol. "we're off to africa to look for dinosaurs" prof roy mackal is awesome!

  • I loved this show Growing up too. Awsome, thanks for the upload.

  • This show was VERY scary for me as a young kid. Still kind of freaky now too. RIP Sir Arthur!

  • do you say fifty feet or fifty foot LoL

  • haha in the 80s people beleved anything

  • yeah ..they also knew how to spell!!!

  • The music to these shows were great, set such an ominous tone heh

  • The King Cheetah is just a color variant of African Cheetah. The Asian Cheetah is almost extinct. It lives only in Iran. It once was found in India and Pakistan as well.

  • yep, when i was in india I remember seeing billboards with picture of the asian cheetah saying it was extinct :(

  • I miss this show.

  • now we have MonsterQuest

  • true; I loved them both too

  • monster Quest is pretyty good but there running out of ideas...

  • great vid,thanks!

but hey we the human species wich are super owner of the world...lol fakeass industries!

dont even know all chameleons or spiders...deep sea animals..jungle,mountain woods every area where isnt a big town we know shit about.and thats sad cause we kill it and every animal/plant have more right to live in peace then we do..cause we are guilty they not

  • Great show. Thanks.

  • if i found a 300 ft snake, which possibly be the last of its species alive, which scientists could study to help expand human knowledge and make the world a better place, i wouldnt kill it, people are assholes, if it tried to kill me id just run away or get the fuck out of its way

  • When was this produce?

  • Guessing early 80s.

  • TEC1702, go read some scholarly books, quit being so hostile, shut the fuck up, and grow up.

  • wow cool...

  • I'll go to South America and bag me a giant anaconda!

  • @lobsterworm my anaconda dont none unless ya got buns hun.

  • I wish they were on today. I remember they used to be on like ever week. Now, I'm lucky to get these shows on youtube.

  • what the fuck is with that guy in the cab with that squirrel on his head?

  • There are a lot we don't know of at this point, there is so much of our world that have never been explored. I do not believe there could be dinosaurs at this day and age, but you've got to admit what the villagers said where interesting. Remember the komodo dragon was a mythological creature once too.

  • You are the stupid one my friend, not every bit of land has been conquered by man, not by far there are still really large forests and jungles where there could exist species that are unknown to us. Please grow up you don't need to be a total ass merely cause I said it was interesting, I said it was interesting that the natives said there where such a creature and I wonder why. I never said it where true.-.-

  • I merely pointed out that it was interesting so read the comments before responding them. No large new species, huh? There is a new species of giant chimpanzee's discovered. I guess those don't count in your book, either way I don't say that big foot is gonna show up and fuck you in the arse for your ignorance. All I say is that there is lots of mysterious species that man haven't discovered.

  • I'm pretty sure big foot doesn't exist either. Why do you feel the need to swear and act aggressive in everything you say, didn't you mother to care about you?:O

  • Yeah, some great documentaries on cryptozoology came out in the 70s and 80's,I remember watching shows like "In Search Of" and Arthur Clarkes mysterious world..after watching "Sasquatch:The Legend of Bigfoot" as a child in the early to mid 70's this show and movies like Boggy Creek made me a lifelong fan.

  • I know what you mean. I loved watching these old shows.

  • Thank you for posting this!! I always loved this show and have been telling my boys about some of the cool things Clarke investigated on his program fro many years but never able to find but one of the episodes-(crystal skull)at the library. we all enjoyed watching! Thanks again!

  • is this documentary real?

  • Yes.

Unlike most documentaries of today, this series provides you with the evidence and let's you judge for yourself.

  • this is cool :D

  • yay! first comment! I think the ape looks like a starved bigfoot. (i want a king cheetah) ^_^
