It gets easier to drift when you turn of traction control, stability control, and anti-lock brakes. Don't forget to do that or its basically impossible.

V.Good Dude .. That's The BEst AWD can do :D ... sliding while holding the grip line .. many people use the inside - out drifting technique cuz it shows the best the angle u can get :D ... but this is the fastest way to Drift , Have fun , RACE & Break Time Records as well :P

i love the game, downloaded it a few days ago on my ps3. But i cant drift for shit!

can u gimme some tips.

The easiest way i find to get round corners is using R3's or R1's on both, ASM and no trac ctrl; and i sorta tap break as i swing round, but if i use the handbreak i just spin off the course!

+ i always drive in manual.

Yeah I never use the handbrake, I just use a feint in the opposite direction to the corner to shift the weight of the vehicle.

The tire selection really depends on the drive-train of the car.

Use the footbrake whilst feinting, then hard on the gas to initiate the drift. Instead of tapping the brake, feather the gas.

Firstly, the game in this video is not GT5 but GTHD Concept.

Secondly, the actual GT5 will have a lot more than newer tracks and cars. It will have more realistic physics, much better graphics thanks to the PS3's CELL, and (possibly) a drift mode too. Oh, and it will have PLENTY more cars and tracks.

Thirdly, how can you rate a game you have NEVER played? Answer: you can't.

I'm afraid to say that no one will stand by and chill with you so they can wait another year or two for a hypothetical GT6.

lol ok dude relax. Its important to create an S shape for the bend. Lets say you have a right bend coming up, stay in the middle of the road, then turn to the right very early, then turn to the left whilst breaking, then turn right into the corner without braking or accelerating, then accelerate round the corner to push out the back end.

how do u drift?i dont get the idea on how u do it?atm i do this,go into the corner normally,break normally down shift gears normally,then when i wud normally turn into the corner i push really hard into the corner and then hold the accel.all this does is make me spin or hit the walls and its really starting too fuck me off now ,fucking shit head game.

Initially, try doing it with the lowest (Normal 1) tires on BOTH front and back. You be slipping and sliding all over the place but you can drift at slower speeds. Then as you get more confident and skillfull, work your way up to:

Normal 1 on the back - Normal 3 on the front

Sport 1 on the back - Sport 3 on the front

Racing 1 on the back - Racing 3 on the front

And any combination in between. As long as there's 1 tire type between the ones youve chosen.

nice true drifing. I dislike it when others drift and crash and back up 1/2 mile so they can take the next turn right which is not real drifting but this nice, yes i do crash at times but if its bad i wont let the it post the highscore. hmm i should make a video some time.

damn!!! what techniques do you use... do you ever use the ebrake, i can get a half decent score of like 6k but i cant lock in that long

Na I hardly ever use ebrake, apart from sometimes at the last corner to get a little bit more angle. I'm slamming on the foot brake whilst I'm doing the feint (turning in the opposite direction to the corner), then I cut in to the corner before slamming back on the gas to keep the tracting slipping.

Um... I would say it is, but only because you can alter the cars setup (tires, stability management etc). The handling and physics are very very realistic, more so than GT4.
