Love the video, however, it is interesting to read the comments... most of them comment on a beautiful ad and beautiful girl and beautiful scenery. However... very few comments say... "this is the next place for my holiday".

Also - why do they produce videos with eating food... it never looks good on camera. Why don't they upload videos at least 720p on YouTube... ad agencies lack of detail for YouTube web videos. grrrr

So far no one seems to understand the brilliance of this. The party scene and the nature are in perfect juxtaposition, i mean she's wearing black in one and white in the other! You can embrace simplicity and decadence and they remain akin. The religious overtone is merely to impart a sense of austerity and allure. To go to Victoria is to reborn and or live a life separate from your own. Great song =P

I love this ad, it's aimed at the tender, free spirits with an appreciation for nature and a desire to escape technology. Obviously not for everyone.

I, however, would love a romantic getaway to Daylesford.

To me it's a catchy song but the moral of the story is..no matter how trashy you get in Victoria... you can always go to church the next day and get baptised.. or before you gt baptised get skanky in Victoria.. im not sure which one just yet. Love the song and the scenery.. pity about how they chose to show it off.

WTF? What does the music and filmic style of "O' Brother Where Out Thou" have to do with Daylesford? Seems like a gratuitous film making exercise and nothing to do with Victoria. As off track as Baz Luhrmans efforts for tourism Australia.

Boneifice, I dont think I am missing the point, when I see a plethora of images with religious connotations (churches, crucifix, and the baptism at the end) with a song that also has religious connotations, not to mention that song was used in oh brother where out thou, which was a movie about the bible belt of the American south. with all of this you dont think I am entitled to my previous opinion?

hmm, i think these images are juxta-posed by themes of greed, self-indulgence, lust and gluttony. The advert is celebrating these "sins", so it is really saying come to Victoria to ENJOY life (sex, good food and so on) rather than condeming it, (a stark contrast to the deep south in america dont you think?) I think the religious connatations are not the main focus of the advert, they are just there to make the main point clearer- which is indulgence, which i'm sure will attract many tourists.

No... I think that you're missing the point... it balances the beauty of rural Victoria with the plethora of cultural activities which can be engaged. It's a well constructed ad that invokes basic human joys, as opposed to presenting the 'red neck bible belt' of the US.
