Fantastic Uncle Mark. Uncle Dick once visited me15 yrs. ago while shopping for collectibles. He shared this very story with me. We wept as he told the story in such detail that you would have thought it happened the day before, The pain so obviosly torturing him, still, after all the years had past of his decision to hand Emil the cup. His struggle at that time was between his christianity and his decision. I had no answers but, I assured him if it were me I absolutely would have done the same.
A lot of young people look blankly at you when try to explain how bad things were back then. They think we're just a bunch of "old farts" who don't know how to have a good time, party and let go of the bad times we once all shared. I lost 22 friends in one week of 1988. Maybe it's best the younger generation doesn't know that time but sometimes I think it's a tragedy that they don't even want to try to remember it!
