This looks really screwed up. I don't see anything lighting up except for in the piano scene. Was it all a guessing game? I used to play Space Ace on 3DO... but this is just a mess o_o;
What a joke. Readysoft (who released all the Dragon's Lair games on Amiga) really fucked things up. Dragon's Lair 3 was actually Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp from the arcade. Second, Dragon's Lair: Escape from Singe's Castle (another one released on Amiga by Readysoft) was just the missing scenes from the original Dragon's Lair coin-op, that should have been included in the original Amiga release. Yeah, Readysoft sucked ass.
@TheRudeAmerican thanks I've been wondering why there was a Dragons Lair 3 on the amiga.. so it's only Dragons Lair 2 after all. to be fair the amiga discs could only hold so much
Wow! I used to have a C64 & Amiga 500l. I had the first Dragon's Lair on floppies, so I know this game would be just as bad. A couple of those levels were stolen from Time Warp & man were chopped up 2 hell & back. I remember when I first got Dragon's Lair 4 the Amiga. I was so excited cause I loved playing it in the arcade, but man I was so disappointed in the Amiga version. I wasn't sure what 2 really expect, but God, just use a bunch of floppies & do it right! I would have paid whatever!
I had this and remembered that they tried to rehash time warp into a new game, and made the villain Mordred sister, but still has the same voice as mordred..ha ha ha
interesting that there are some original scenes not in any real version of the game. But it's so jumpy, I can see why it inspired the guy who made Another World to make a game similar but much much better.
Now when I look at this game it looks so messy and crappy! And to think it took 8 discs to play 4 minutes of the game! Simon was 9 and it took over 2 hours to play it!. But I have to admit that those thime Dragon
It's like Escape From Singe's Castle, just taking everything from it's original counterpart but with a few added differences. I used to play this one blindfolded funny enough
"Make way for the Queen, you know what I mean! Stop that bouncing! After that rabbit! One lump or two, don't mind if I do. After that rabbit!" Over and over and over....
It was for 2 reasons: Copy protection bars you when you lose the fucking manual, and the manual required a red tinted glass to read the proof of purchase code! The original moves are preserved, but without the yellow flashes you wouldn't have guessed some of the moves in a decade. Did you know the player had it hit the sword button right as the Queen screams at Dirk? I sure never figured that one out before I lost this game.
This is actually pretty interesting... it looks like they re-animated the main characters using regular raster-scan graphics to make things not look so grainy... But why does Mordroc have boobs??? Did they think he was a witch of something??
Wow, i'm suprised Beethoven cares more about his music than a cat, shruken knight and shrunken warlock, even though they're making a mess of his place.
These were great games. Anybody who played games about 17 years ago remembers Dragon's Lair. They were ported for the PC as well, by a companny called Readysoft, out of Markham Canada The NES, SNES and Sega ports were really bad and the were also ported for a number of Home Console CD systems, but somehow, they just don't match the original. The inspiration for the princess, actually came from Playboy centerfolds, which is kind of funny, considering that the game is so influenced by Disney.
It is a game in the old laserdisc style.. it's a sequel to Dragon's Lair 1&2 which were released in the arcades. I think this one uses some scenes that were cut from DL2 but I could be wrong (of course in very downgraded versions, the arcade games run from laserdiscs afterall).
The "gameplay" consists of pressing the right buttons at the right times, it can be pretty frustrating at times as you die if you press the wrong button :@
What a load of old fart! very confusing...even the c64 versions were clearer than this.These graphics and sound may look better in still shots but watching it all flow is disappointing.The c64 tunes were better too!
XDXDXDLOLOLOL!!!!! Did you see the huge tits on the Wizard dude!
