If I could change one thing about the series it would not be the Fireiing of Leo in season what 5? It would not be the treatment of Toby in the final season....It would be Toby asking her to marry him....and her saying no. God I feel SOOO bad for Toby!!!
The writers got it wrong... In judaisim you say Mazel tov when the the baby is born, or on other good occasions--- but before then, when a woman is pregnant you wish "Be shaa tova"--- which in English means something along the lines of "in good time".
@mt22201 Right. Most non-Jews will say "Mazel tov" to congratulate their Jewish friends in an attempt to show respect for their religion, even when it isn't technically appropriate. But most Jews are pretty gracious about it, as Toby was in this scene.
@acceptanceisbliss Prior to this video, earlier in the scene, Jed and Abby talked about the caviar. IIRC it's a local version rather than imported, which left Abby not that impressed that it would be any good.
yeah the test tube thing has something to do with whatever it is he's drinking, i think he explains it a little earlier in the scene? or i could be thinking of something else entirely...
"Im doing my best sir"

@Elisheval But Barlett isn't Jewish, so he doesn't know that... so the writers got it right.

Bartlet tends to get Cock-Blocked by his communications directors quite frequently.

"It's my Catholicism, it works for me" is something that many more people should take to heart.

sorry i'm slow, what does she mean by "not really no" to "is that caviar there"? Is it not good quality or something?

As someone who is currently getting ready to have a child, you wouldn't know the sex of the child/children at only 3 months.
But I totally love this scene. One of my faves. "Yeah but he's got one."
