From what I know, John Cena would win. Hogan is very strong thats for sure, but anyone can easily kick out of a leg drop as a finisher. You'd have to be beat up for an hour to fall pinfall to that. And the only proof I have to show he's used them is the looks of many men who have his body type. And, unfortunately, when you're in the indies, if you don't look a certain way, they do try to push steroids on you. A friend of mine tried to get into wrestling, but because he was slim, and not buff, they told him to use up, or he won't get on the card.

Hogan owned wrestling in the 80's and 90's and if he was in his prime now he would own wrestling in the 21st century. I'm commenting on the fact that you said all the dude did was throw punches, and i've seem hundreds of hogan's matches when he was young, during these matches he had a very large arsenal of slams followed by punches. You seriously need to rebalance you rating scale. To even have Cena scored that close to hulk is a joke.

@hardcase678 I used that match as an example. I am saying that in that particular match all Hogan did was throw punches. I never said that he only threw punches back in his prime. I know it was a bad example. The only reason that I used it was because I had watched the match recently. My bad. The fact remains that Hogan never was a god in the ring, like some people like to think. He WAS a good storyteller though.

@wwe8620 neither is Cena. Cena is just as much a punch and kick guy with a few move sets he just repeats over and over. He's been in WWE now for 10yrs and only in the last couple of years has he even remotely improved.
ie Cena can't tell a story in ring, Hogan could. Thats the big difference and Hogan was loved by most, Cena is hated/bored by 50%.

As much as i love the rock and dislike cena i cant help but agree with laszroth the rock did say he was never eeevvvver going away so why have we only seen him a handful of times. wrestling has become such a pg piece of crap i would give anything to see it go back to its attitude era. it shows how unenthusiastic the superstars are now cos no one gets a big crowd reaction anymore. not like austin and brett hart got.

There really shouldnt be any debate about this. If it wasnt for Hogan, wrestling wouldnt have the global success it has today. Hogan owned wrestling in the 80's and 90's and if he was in his prime now he would own wrestling in the 21st century. Cena only appeals to kids, and to kids parents where as Hogan appeals to a much bigger audience, you only need to hear the crowd reactions on raw atm to see what i mean. Cena was better 5-6 years ago and should have stayed with that character.

@Spamazoid but still and I'm not defending cena or anybody, but if you watched wwf hogan and ultimate warrior weren't much of a wrestler(not counting charisma etc.) they didn't have much moves , they even had less moves than cena , but they had charisma, they were entertaining .

@nejim4r10 you are correct, but they were 100% charisma Cena is not. Cena is an allrounder, a bit of everything, not great at any and the character only caters to the kids and women. Hogan and Warrior catered to,everyone, mind you it was a different time when there was clear cut heels and faces and people cheered or booed accordingly.

@nejim4r10 don't get me wrong, as a person Cena trumps both of them, he does far more for outside of the ring stuff then Warrior ever did (which apparently was 0) Hogan would be comparitive in that respect, Cena however currently holds the record for number of appearances and wishes granted to multiple charities. He deserves respect as a person but will get booed by 50% aslong as he's a lame ass character. :)
