    RIP Jerry

  • Awesome Song. This band came out when i was 6 :) I just love them!!!

  • April WIne and Myles Goodwyn are the most underrated rock group and singer of all time

  • Myles STILL sings STELLAR! What a voice! Yes most underated Canadian band, but they are easily LEGENDARY.

  • @cuddlerbuddy AW could of made it at an International had they not screwed up at a crucial transition stage in around 1981.

  • You realize that next year, 2010 will be April Wine's 40th Anniversary??

  • hey dont make people feel old ;p

  • Its actually this year (2009) if you believe wikipedia. lol

  • Im gunna get bashed at for this - but is this their own song? or are they covering something? I just never heard it before

  • its their song

  • yes it was written by Myles Goodwyn

  • guitarist and vocalist Myles Goodwyn wrote this song and was released in 1975 on the "Stand Back" album

  • get well soon myles--the world needs you!!

  • I LOVE YOU GUYS

  • saw them almost a year ago...actually got to meet myles...had a good chat about diabetes

  • My top Canadian bands are April Wine, Rush, The Tragically Hip and the Guess Who. Not in any order though, I can't decide who I like the best, they're all so amazing.

  • I'd have to say #2 Best Canadian Rock band, JUST SHORT of Rush.

  • Yes, so true dude! ;)

  • Myles, Brian, and Jerry should be inducted into the Canadian Hall Of Fame!!

Can't believe Jerry Mercer is almost 70!!!!

Met them 3 times so far, looking forward to 4

  • How can you not like this song? yeaaaaaaa!

  • Right on!!!!!

  • The last time I saw them was at the Granada Theatre in Sherbrooke a couple of summers back. These guys, like thier music, just does not get old. It's too bad Jim Clench didn't hang around. I was so glad when he and Myles put thier differences behind them and got back to work. C'est ls vie, I guess. I wonder what Jim's doing now?

  • I saw them this Friday night past... Aug 1. April Wine has not lost a thing... they still perform likethey did 30 years ago.

Go see them live they are great.

  • Best band that ever was! I actually met Miles Goodwin at the Montreal airport when I was 17, in 1983. I happened to be totaly obsessed with him at the time and could not believe that I was standing next to him! I will never forget that day, and just wish that I would have not sounded like an idiot!

  • One of my faves of April Wine!! Love it!!!

  • Best Canadian band ever! If you have a chance to see them, GO! They still sound great!

  • goin to see them tonight in pictou pretty psyched about it!!!

  • does anyone know how to contact these guys to do a local show in Annapolis valley nova scotia?

  • Awesome. I am so proud that this great band was born in my home town of Waverley Nova Scotia!! :)

  • me to

  • I have been a fan of this band since the early 70s. I saw them twice in Ottawa in the early 80s, and my son attended his first rock concert at 6 weeks of age in the mid 90s in Gloucester at the Gloucester Fair.

I live in the US now and there is no April Wine music here... nice to find it here, and see that after 30 or so years, they've still got it!

    JennM

  • these guys just nail live concerts. man jerry mercer before they were playing was just wandering beside the stage near he washrooms with his tsicks in hand... i was the only one that recognized him, i was like, woah... so i went up and shook his hand and stuff

  • lots of copycats of this guitar rif

    Living After Midnight- judas priest

an alice cooper song too but i can't remember the name

BTO used it in a song too

  • wow that brings back the memorise, one of ths few bands i like live

  • obsessed with this song!!!!

i wish April Wine came to Indiana!

  • if you live where ever you do how you no of april wine

  • i heard "just between you and me" on the radio once, then i got into them

  • This song rocks...totally in love with it!!

  • I saw April Wine in Dallas TX at the old Bronco Bowl in 2001, and some players from the Dallas Stars Hockey team and Dimebag Darrel of Pantera showed up to see them too! It was a BIG surprise to play this song, which was a favorite ever since I heard years ago on an import copy of "Greatest Hits".

  • April Wine had a bit of a following in the States but it was exponential Canada. Unlike "Rush" "The Guess Who" "the Band" and others this Canadian Band didn't quite take off. As a young Canuck in the mid 70s this was an anthem.

  • With the exeption of purists like you, no one really knows who these guys are/were, in the States

  • They are only known for their 78-86 Capitol albums here in the USA. Its sad that Big Tree never gave them the push they deserved.

  • good ole' Canadian boys....

  • very good song

  • one of the best songs of all time

  • one of the best songs of all time

  • Thanks for posting!
