I've been having a good time watching your videos. I saw a Schulte on Ebay very similar to this last week, a 1949 I believe for 500 bucks but someone snatched it within an hour.. I think even if you updated it instead of spec, it would be an awesome trailer and nicer than anything they make nowadays although i have seen Serro Scotty releasing 2011's..
@couerl The newer trailers start falling apart in the first year and never stop falling apart. The new Scotties are made one at a time and a very good way to go if you want all the new technology along with a trailer that will last 50 years.
I'm really interested in what happened to this trailer. There is no mention of it on your site. Do you have still have it or is it being restored elsewhere.
Love your site, love your hobby. Thanks for all your hard work in posting things.
Just like the inside of a classic gypsy wagon - only needs some beaten copper pots and pans to make the allusion complete. I like the 30s styling on the outside too.
I'd say late 30's my uncle joe had one some what like it in the fifty's.. he was a ww11 vet...crazy as a loon. love him though..the logo on the back realy sticks out in my mind someones prize now I guess...kept emm commin...
@wmichswingers Lot's of people had the money for this in 1938. Just like lots of people have the money for those big ugly land yachts that you see all over the place now.
this has got to be german made huh?

@petejanett Not that I know of. I remember the tag on the back was from somewhere in the states. It's in the photos somewhere.

Great trailer...I love the craftsmanship they used to have back then. Good luck in fixing her back up.

What would this have cost in 1938 and what would today's value be after restoration? This is a beautiful trailer!

@junbug1029 I don't know the answer to either of your questions.

@hunglo1967 It was purchased by a collector who is having it restored and will then be placed into a museum.

What were they doing?

Checking for drunk drivers, I guess the police can't handle it on their own!

Nazi Germany? Even though it's against our Constitution.
Sis363 3 years ago
Everything the government has been doing for the last 35 to 50 years is against our constitution... No one seems to get that...

First we have canned hams, and now we have a loaf of bread. Does anyone have any Grey Poupon?
It does look to be in remarkable shape for 70+ years.

LOL... Well there are Canned Hams, Bread Loafs and Tear Drops. Seems that back then people were pre-occupied with food and sorrow LOL...

Very nice; almost too pretty to live in. I'd be afraid of vandals coming along and trashing the trailer.

"almost too pretty to live in"
Back when this was made, that is what people were doing with them. Living in them.

Nadia! So glad to hear from you. I had almost given up on you. Yes she does resemble a boat both inside and out! Upside-down I think she would float!
