Bernstein was so enthusiastic about music! Dizzy Gillespie's autobiography tells of a jazz bassist (I think Stanley Clark) playing in a group in a jazz club in NYC when someone ran onto the bandstand and held his ear against the instrument for a few minutes, listening to what was being played on the bass. The bassist kept playing. When the person left the bandstand, the other musicians told the bass player that it had been Leonard Bernstein, excited and happy with what he was hearing played!

Many thanks, ZamzarBob. I write from Lima Perú I am violinist, I saw the series in 1972 when I started my studies of music. This series is one of the happiest and capital memories of my childhood. It feed my vocation. The spanish title was Conciertos con Leonard Bernstein (Concerts with L.B.).
