I have been a fan of Alice In Chains since I was 14 and will say that, as much as I love seeing them back together (and I loved their last album), when it comes to Duvall there is just one problem: He's not Layne. I am glad though that they retained most of the elements that made them a great band. Private Hell was fucking epic.

Sorry, but Duvall looks like a huge douche. You've got 3 guys on stage that have been all around the world for the past 20+ years, seen and done everything as a band, and dealt with one of the hardest things a band could possibly deal with. And then Duvall, who doesn't contribute shit, steps in with his Douchesicle™ brand sunglasses and his Cocksmoker™ brand scarf and actually thinks he's something special. He couldn't have carried Layne's underwear, much less his vocals or songwriting ability.

Duvall has toured with Jerry with years all over the world. But i think what everyone is missing is that Alice in Chains with Layne, and Alcie in Chains with Duvall are two different bands, i've seen em' live, He doesn't sound like layne because they didn't want a layne they wanted a fresh start, but Layne inspired fresh start.
