I look up 6sway cause that was my name before, they asked me to make a channel and I did 6swizzle...now I hve to search 6sway, the videos r there & when I upload my videos from my phone, that's where they go but when I go on the computer I don't know how to edit on the computer & have "edit-ble" access to them. WTF!!! I'm super NEW to this & I guess I was JUST getting used to the old youtube & it seem a bit more friendly.

To put it simply YouTube/Google is doing a great job at alienating it's user base by throwing these random changes on people without even giving them a choice or say in the matter....Oops I stand corrected....You tube IS actually giving it's users a "say in the matter" all you need do is see the comments below...ALL BAD...but ultimately they do whatever they want, whether we like it or not, and if this keeps up You Tube will become as popular as My Space is right now.
Is You Tube paying you to promote this new channel design or what? Because In all actuality the new design sucks and more than half the users out there agree with me on this! The "big noticeable change" you mentioned is there is little to no way to express individuality on your own channel with the new design like you still can,or could, with the old design and it would be very nice if you tube/Google would allow users to be able to chose what format they wanted vs forcing it on them.
You can change everything you want, who give a damn? but why do you force people and impose them to follow you? No more friends or private messages, everything that we like or dislike or comment can be seen? I really enjoyed coming here and write to people and share. Now even FB gots more privacy that YT
I don't know about you guys, but I prefer being able to stay on one place and watch the video get to the screen instead of me pressing the video kicks me out of the channel only to go back there to watch the video next to it.
The annoying thing with the new Youtube is that you can't watch videos on their channel anymore, instead you has to press the video, get sent there and then go back and ''scroll for a new video'' instead of just watching everything at the same place without having to repeat ''scrolling'' down over and over. ^^'

People cant even find the comments sometimes if u do that. And also what havent to the yellow subscribe button on the top of the video? I don't really see anything wrong with this layout. Sure it isn't nearly as good as the old layout, but I can get used to it. Actually, a lot of people care, especially me. I spent hours making a background that would fit the old channel PERFECTLY, and since the new channel is coming, and going to be permanent by March, it's not going to be worth anything.
I also loved how the old channel stayed on your user page when going through favorites or playlists, I love the old channel, it's so much easier than the new one.
Remember the old youtube player? Remember how you were to see how low a low rated comment was? Remember when people didn't complain about the layout? Remember when there wasn't a top comment? Blogger is good I agree with this but they need to add more design options cuz in my opinion the video thumbnails are way to big and they drag the channel down so much. An option to only show 5 and then the bar to load more videos for example would be sweet. Some color edit options would be nice too.
If your using firefox I have good news: I wrote an add-on which enables you to remove videos from your homepage (or just remove everything you watched). Go to the add-on page of firefox and search for yTweaks and thank me later. It's still under development, so it's really buggy, slow and incomplete, but working on it. I used to watch up to two hours of YouTube in place of TV. These changes have turned that around to where I only watch maybe 15 minutes of things I want to know about, or have heard about. Not one thing you showed me pertains to anything I use or want to use on YouTube.
You really miss the point of why so many people are upset with the changes, not just that it's 'bland'. Most people don't come on here to watch endless videos, I like to watch some but mostly it is the Friends which count, we can't see them to talk with them, it's a pain to see Comments, there is nothing personal about US the page. When view counts start to drop dramatically, maybe YT will wake up, they have forgotten the oldest rule of business- give the customer what he or she wants!
It is time to migrate and even build for our migration the next best thing after YOUTUBE era. To spit in the face and shit even, and piss on our comments like they never existed is something that I am not willing to take. They know people are so lazy that they will not make the effort of creating that new thing to migrate. And you my friend Phil, your 20% of videos worthwhile will shrink to practically nothing in a few years.
The guys in charge at Youtube, are well aware what they are doing and why. They demonstrated that they don,t really care about you. They just have in mind the corporation and the copyright issues which prevents them to access many 10000000 of dollars. They do know that they will lose some over this like no other changes they did and they are willing to sacrifice it. But they think you are stupid enough to stay. They should be taught a lesson like NetFlix.
When you decide to change, you decide to change for the better. If you have an old car, you wish a new car to run without problems. If you started with a LADA, you want your next car not worst than a LADA, and dreaming about a AUDI or much more. They are obviously getting out the intuitive nature out of it, and make it as difficult as possible to the normal unincorporate people to share easily between them.

It was fun to have a friends list. I could accept the playlist appearing at the bottom. You could spend hours in a channel just because the favorites were beside the channel video. Visually, everything is hard to find. Youtube deserves to die for this and we must start a campaign of migration against them.

I like pretty much everything about the new youtube or I don't care except the frickin new channel. I love my old channel, with it's greenness and the purty background and the fact I can watch my favorites and playlists neatly in the channel page. I have a facebook, I don't need my youtube to become a facebook. I left MySpace for that very reason. I don't know. There wasn't anything TOO wrong with the old channel. But then I remember feeling the same way before it changed the last time. Oh well

Can't you delete subscription videos from that news feed thing like with the previous youtube? Where you could just delete videos from your subscribers that you didn't want to watch so that they don't appear on the homepage?

The new main page is specially designed to show news all around the world! Youtube wants us to see them and acknowledge them. I think if you are smart you get the bigger picture.

I like the homepage a lot better than the one we had for the previous six months. The uploads were just getting weighed down by all the activity feed, uck. Love the "uploads only" button they added. Top ten is a nice idea too... though a real pity it's alphabetized? I could understand for the rest of the list, but just not for the top ten. You should be able to drag them where you want.
The rule with internet and software companies is when something good is created, CHANGE it. Change for change sake, and try to make billions off it. Google/YouTube is now like Microsoft.

Blogger is good I agree with this but they need to add more design options cuz in my opinion the video thumbnails are way to big and they drag the channel down so much. An option to only show 5 and then the bar to load more videos for example would be sweet. Some color edit options would be nice too.

If your using firefox I have good news: I wrote an add-on which enables you to remove videos from your homepage (or just remove everything you watched). Go to the add-on page of firefox and search for yTweaks and thank me later. It's still under development, so it's really buggy, slow and incomplete, but working on it. Thumbs up please, so others can see this too, also please give me feedback anywhere.
I worked on it for more than 2 weeks, supporting me wont take you a minute

I used to watch up to two hours of YouTube in place of TV. These changes have turned that around to where I only watch maybe 15 minutes of things I want to know about, or have heard about. Not one thing you showed me pertains to anything I use or want to use on YouTube.

You really miss the point of why so many people are upset with the changes, not just that it's 'bland'. Most people don't come on here to watch endless videos, I like to watch some but mostly it is the Friends which count, we can't see them to talk with them, it's a pain to see Comments, there is nothing personal about US the page. When view counts start to drop dramatically, maybe YT will wake up, they have forgotten the oldest rule of business- give the customer what he or she wants!

The guys in charge at Youtube, are well aware what they are doing and why. They demonstrated that they don,t really care about you. They just have in mind the corporation and the copyright issues which prevents them to access many 10000000 of dollars. They do know that they will lose some over this like no other changes they did and they are willing to sacrifice it. But they think you are stupid enough to stay. They should be taught a lesson like NetFlix.

When you decide to change, you decide to change for the better. If you have an old car, you wish a new car to run without problems. If you started with a LADA, you want your next car not worst than a LADA, and dreaming about a AUDI or much more. They are obviously getting out the intuitive nature out of it, and make it as difficult as possible to the normal unincorporate people to share easily between them.

It was fun to have a friends list. I could accept the playlist appearing at the bottom. You could spend hours in a channel just because the favorites were beside the channel video. Visually, everything is hard to find. Youtube deserves to die for this and we must start a campaign of migration against them.

I like pretty much everything about the new youtube or I don't care except the frickin new channel. I love my old channel, with it's greenness and the purty background and the fact I can watch my favorites and playlists neatly in the channel page. I have a facebook, I don't need my youtube to become a facebook. I left MySpace for that very reason. I don't know. There wasn't anything TOO wrong with the old channel. But then I remember feeling the same way before it changed the last time. Oh well

They will be removing this eventually, because they want people to subscribe and stop spamming just to get "friends". So then you will just have your subscriptions/contacts.

Think of it this way; now the "little man" has less competition from douchebags leaving random "COME SEE THIS" or "JUSTIN BIEBER'S PENIS" comments just to get numbers on their accounts.
There's no point to it anymore if they don't have a "friends" box as a loser status symbol, to compete with all of the other internet losers.
Now if we did away with the "top comments", youtube might actually be about the Music again... At least there's an option for that one I guess....

OMG - the new YOUTUBE design SUCCKKSS BIG TIME- I hate it with a passsion as I never hated with before . Where is my "Friends" area - they totally took that one out. What are the worthless designers thinking? I think they lost touch with reality & don't know or care what the average Youtuber really wants or likes. Maybe they are holed up in the GOOGLE headquarters too much & need more greenery, fresh air & to be out in the public. One thing for sure, they took the "YOU" OUT OF YOUTUBE!

I like the homepage a lot better than the one we had for the previous six months. The uploads were just getting weighed down by all the activity feed, uck. Love the "uploads only" button they added. Top ten is a nice idea too... though a real pity it's alphabetized? I could understand for the rest of the list, but just not for the top ten. You should be able to drag them where you want.

You are brought to a page with a few other buttons, click on the one the says 'Switch back to old YouTube design'.

And am I the only person having a problem with the playlists? They're in the wrong order, so I'm stuck watching everything newest to oldest because the FUCKING < back arrow on the playlist won't work no matter how many times I click it. Lots of going back and forth. :/
