pendapat saya pula pilot itu telah membuat 1 keputusan yang silap dan satu keputusan yang betul

keputusan yang silap adalah untuk continue the appraoch walaupun keadaan tak stabil dia sepatutnya go around/missed appraoch lebih awal dan saya yakin dia tahu keadaan angin itu jauh melebihi limitasi beliau sendiri utk landing

Keputusan yang betul dan paling penting adalah dia tidak terus landing selapas touch down dengan melakukan rejected landing manuever to save the day

Over the runway now he powers back and raises the plane's nose a little, keeping the plane a steady 20' above the ground as he slows, wings level too, with the nose still aimed to the right. Just before touchdown he kicks left rudder in order to land straight on. Now he should lower the upwind (right ) wing and land on the right wheel first. Instead he drops the left wing and slides left. Oops.

It was during a heavy storm all over northern Germany ( an Germany d is "a little bit" smaller than Malaysia ;-) ) and was directed to this runway. After the landing there was a discussion, if it was a mistake of pilot, or the airport. But the tower told the pilot, to land there and take this runway. The plane landed in Hamburg on the second runway without any problems...

And no other airport in the near was open at that time, regarding the storm.
