I did this in high school with my large A Capella choir. It's very near & dear to me! This is by far the best arrangement I've ever heard. I have to keep reminding myself this is a high school choir! Love the dynamics - great soft notes and transitions between loud and soft. Examples: 1:35 thru 1:45 and 3:30 thru 3:45. Too many performances don't get quiet enough. Very nice!

The emphasis on your dynamics is great, same with the flow of the song. I did this at a four county honors choir program last year and the director had us put a great amount of emphasis on the 's' of soon-ah, 'd' of done 'de' and 'tre', etc., almost like a sforzando with strong accents. Wow, this is one of the best ones yet. My choir is doing this song this year, and being a soprano, this'll help a lot. At the end, the only thing my director is doing different is adding that high C. I think it's a good touch.
