I can search for ceilidh clips all day, but I did not get a familiar sound until I added "Nova Scotia" to the search criteria. It truly is a unique style.

Quinn sure gets around haha. Too bad she wasnt wearing shoes so we could hear it, oh well. Don't let this fool you though, alot of the kids in Cape Breton have sadly slipped away into the world of "rap" and "metal" which isn't music, this is music. Hopefully they'll come to their senses as they get older.

I wouldn't agree that rap and metal "aren't music". In time things very unfamiliar to us will become "classical".

This is very cool though, and I agree that it would be nice if more of the youth of the world accepted the older style.

@bigdjindustriez theres absolutly nothing wrong with metal music theres a small metal scene going on in sydney right now and ive heard from alot of people from quebec ontario etc have heard about the scene down here from the bands that have enjoyed playing in cape breton of course there is nothing wrong with the older music as well but whats the point of just sticking to older music? there is nothing wrong with expanding the range of genres

i love cape breton step! it's the best there is, i hate all those other like "tap" shit..like ottawa valley er whatever, yeh it's fancy, but it's just not the same
