  • Great job on this and so many other Monkees classics.

  • Larry....This is an incredible song that is the story of real unconditional love.....And there is NOBODY who can capture the emotion of a song with music like you do.....You are amazing with every piece you do and we are so blessed to share it with you....ione marie

  • Larry....Your voice...your warm rich voice....It is difficult to find the perfect words that can describe what you give to music....Regardless if anyone can find those words or not, what's important is that the music is here....And you know what?...I must say it is not sometime, but ALL the time that your music is enjoyed, admired, and loved...ione marie

  • love it!!! im a beginner, any chance of pickn up the chords to this song?

  • You did a very nice edition. I picked up the guitar and sang harmonies. Thank you!

  • Whoa...I feel like I just walked into 1967, 6th grade.

    That was cool.

  • Wonderful! You are amazing my friend...keep up the great videos:)

  • BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL RECORDING! wento to my mp3

  • Good job!!

  • Very well done! I love this song.

  • If you were under 20 you would win American Idol

  • Hey guy! You sing very well! :) Hugs from Brazilian Monkees fan!

  • Nice job! Very heartfelt. Not an easy song to sing, actually, but your voice met the challenge, and your guitar playing was excellent.

I think this is the best song Carole King wrote for the Monkees, even better than "Pleasant Valley Sunday". Too bad there's no karaoke version of it out there.

    Thanks for posting !

  • Way to hit the nail on the head. Great song & a great rendition. Nice guitar work & a great vocal. The good recording is icing on the cake.

  • Very nice

  • I've watched this 8 times in a row...luv it

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting

  • second song I've heard from you...man, you got it...

  • Thank you, sweetie...beautiful song.

  • Another great song!

  • Very nice rendition! Great fingerpicking and singing - and the birds at the end suit the song well. :D

  • HUGGS !!!!!!

  • I just changed my ringtone to this...thanks Larry!

  • Great cover!!!!

  • I loved it because you "get" the song. So many people who cover this song do it so harshly. Even Micky himself doesn't sing it like he used to, with that tender touch. I loved this. :)

  • Very well done. If you take requests...I'd love to hear an acoustic rendition of "Smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie". I heard a "Brothers Four" rendition of it years ago and miss the hell out of it.

  • beautiful rendition of this great Monkees song, thanks so much for sharing with everyone!!!

  • awesome bro>>>>>

  • You really do a nice job! I find myself closing my eyes and singing along to a song I haven't listened to in years, but wore the grooves off the vinyl from the original in the mid 1960's! I have always enjoyed the Monkees music (who should be in the Hall of Fame for Pete's sake - oh another Monkee song lol).. Keep singing and playing, you have talent!! Where American Idol for us older folks anyway???

  • great job on a great song......

  • Great job!

  • a BEAUTE!

  • Beautiful

  • BOMB!! They took out the real one but this will bout' due.

  • Love your videos....but pull the camera out!!!! Go with a med shot.

  • Didn't realize Carole wrote this too. Knew she wrote Pleasant Valley Sunday & a few others for them.

    Great job !

  • You ARE FANTASNTIC !!!!!

  • excellent sir!!

  • Wow, that's a really great cover. What chords are you playing here?

    Thanks,

    BB

  • Nice. Really, really nice.

  • Fantastic job on the most beautiful tune the Monkees ever recorded.

And what an underrated, under appreciated singer Mickey Dolenz was!

  • Loved it. This and Shades of Gray were my two favorite Monkees songs and you've done nice covers of both

  • A nice cover version Larry well done

  • One of my Favorite Monkees songs. You do a good job :-) thank you

  • Wow, I had forgotten about this one.... thanks for the reminder. Excellent job... lovely song.

  • Hey Larry, if you ever do any more Monkees covers (especially if you do any more off of the More of the Monkees album) you could possibly do covers of "She", "Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow)", "The Kind of Girl I Could Love", or "Laugh".

  • This is just awesome Larry, My fave song from More of The Monkees! I wore this one out on my folks RCA console..LOL...I still have my copy though and the replacement Stereo version...The one that was worn out is the Mono version!

  • That was a looooonnnng 8 hours anticipating this one !!! But ...l did survive. it somehow....and it was well worth the wait, as always.....yessiree!! :D "Words"...if a picture paints a thousad words ...your videos leave me speechless!!

  • Somehow I have overlooked this gem on Side 2 of my "More of The Monkees" LP. For 42 years, even! The grooves on this cut on my record aren't worn because I didn't know what a wonderful song it is. It'll get some wear now.

Thanks, Larry, for introducing me to this one, and for giving us the beautiful performance.

  • These are some of the most beautiful lyrics I have ever heard. What could be more wonderful than a love that enables you to see the world through new eyes, to find the beauty in simple things once taken for granted? Thank you for sharing this lovely song with us in such a sweet and gentle way.

  • Larry - this is exquisite.

  • Larry...This is sweetly seductive....lyrics with that incredible voice leave thoughts of genuine happiness for us all......And anything written by the phenomanol Carole King is going to be somethin else....ione marie
