yes but you have to be outside and you have to have the top of the unit pointing north/northeast.. If you are active or moving around, you are best off listening to recorded music or what you have uploaded or it will likely cut out when using regular headphones.
The iPhone 3g blows it away and you can get it for 100 dollars less lol. Plus if you go to Pandora's website you get to make your own radio stations based on the genre of music that YOU like. oh and its FREE.
I've got both the iPhone and the Stiletto. Both do certain things well. The iPhone competes in regards to music. However in regards to sports, comedy, talk and news shows Sirius wins by a landslide. iPhone just doesn't offer much beyond music.
i metnioned that and people said "who listens to radio for shit other then music anymore?, get with the times, watch news on tv like everyone else!"
no, because somtimes i wanna hear the shit too! plsuy,. with sports on tv, (particularly ESPN and ABC) it's like in one hour of air time...like 25 minutes of coverage and 35 minutes of race.
they will eventually merge and start a new monopoly over us lets hope they dont jack up the prices sky high!!! all subscriptions are grandfathered... i suggest everyone getting a lifetime subscription to sirius b4 the merge!!
.....lifetime subscription, that only the lifetime of your radio. Not your lifetime.
And its only a monopoly if you have no other options...You have other options..Its called FM radio, "digital radio",IPOD, Internet Radio,CDs,8-Track, MP3 players.
A monopoly is when a group has sufficient control over a product or service. In this instance Satelite radio is the specific service in which there are only two players. Sorry, the term idiot is really not appropriate here.
i have a lifetime sub and i've changed radios twice..it's not just for one radio unless they recently changed the terms for new people getting the lifetime.
There is not that big of a difference in music from xm to Sirius. But Howard is the best and its why they are better then XM. Look at the numbers, at Sirius pace they will pass XM subscriptions by the end of 08
All this talk about "drop-outs" are complete and utter bullshit. I've had Sirius since 2003, and never had any dropout problem. Just try Sirius and you see what a true value it is in today's entertainment marketplace. It only costs about $50 for a basic radio and $13 per month, even less if you pay for the full year, plus any additional radio's are only $6.99 per mo. After the merger, all subscriptions will be $6.99 per mo.
As a 100 owner I have to say that the only differences seem to be aesthetic as well as the more comfortable looking headphones and the fact that it's more compact. My suggestion would be to wait and see what happens with the Sirius/XM merger which will give us a clearer picture of what the combined receivers will be and how they will work.
That merger has zero percent chance of going through. I'm really considering trying XM because I'm sick of the drop outs with sirius, reception just sucks.
Can you use your own headphones or earphones while listening to satellite radio?

@LBdreaming I think that the iphone is overpriced. 14,99 per month vs 50 per month for the iPhone

"As far as the merger goes, do you really think that XM is going to survive if it doesn't. "
You don't honestly think that Sirius is in a better place than XM do you? That is too much Howard talking...
You know, the guy milking the company dry.

The reviews I've read say that if you are listening to a song, and you want to download it, you just press a button and it's there.
As far as the merger goes, do you really think that XM is going to survive if it doesn't. Oh yeah, I forget they have Oprah! LOL
