  • this song used to lull me to sleep....it still does. just so soothing and beautiful...i will always love cocteau twins <3

  • Utherine live?

  • Love you

  • I don't have to be specific when I wanna hug you

You had a natural right to be born to become

Yes having my small niece(heaven must at least) becomes (so) acceptable to me

I'd feel angry had I lost you and can't imagine where you might be

  • Where do baby leaves go when they die

Oh, why I do not mourn

God is a feeling of loving yourself

You're precious to me, you know that

    Stretch in your arms

  • Wrap 'em 'round tight

    Loving myself

    With all my might

  • Where do baby leaves go when they die

Oh, why I do not mourn

God is a feeling of loving yourself

You're precious to me, you know that

  • Take a look inside you'll see

    See how I'm doing

A message, something says to me

    Tells me I'm right

So you want a potion to send me away

Daddy, my love, cannot get in today

  • how did you make the morph effect in the video?

I am interested in making something like that for my desktop

    cheers

  • @copencat

This was done with dropping paint colors into water.

The actual idea was devised and filmed as an experiment by another YouTube user who uploaded it in real-time, and it ran for about a minute and a half. As soon as I seen it I knew that I had to do something with it.

I slowed the footage down and cut it up into sections to use for the different changes in this song. I then sent it to the owner of the footage who loved it and gave me permission to upload it on my channel.

  • cocteau twins é a única banda que canta para minha alma

  • Tems certeza, Cocteau Twins e uma banda fantastico!

  • Your the expert. Listen to it whatever it is.

  • Don't forget their album 'Otherness' - far ahead of their time.

  • 'Otherness' was a 4 track EP...

  • Liz Fraser deserve far more recognition than she has had in the past...I think the Cocteau Twins were one of the very best Indi bands ever...

  • Completely agreed.

  • Yes, I agree. A strange, beautiful, flickering voice. Captivating partnership with Robin Guthrie.

  • Sorry....I forgot to mention I was a CCT fan since 1982.

    Great Job...!

  • Friend,

I'm so glad you put this image to the CCT.

I would make my nephews' go to sleep to this song.....always.....always....!

    Best.

    Michael

  • watching that made me feel like i just received a massage. splendid job putting visuals to CT music. i hope you do more. :]

  • True FRENCH DREAM POP

  • French? Maybe you should Google them first. They're Scottish.,

  • Actually, they are Sqwandlahelian !

  • after 17 years of hard-die "the cure" fan, i opened to other atmosphere music and i am glad finding cocteau twins. great, very great

  • @curelove29 me too mate!

  • The best music on the world.

  • after seeing loves easy tears...that was it for me.. the guitars on that ...man!.. and this is just like the video..just waves of whoosh coming down..

  • I listen to this kind of stuff and, right after, some heavy metal, then back to this, then to metal, and back again...

  • What a special band! athmosferic & pure

  • "Where do baby beings go when they die? Oh I, I do not know. God is a feeling of love and stuff, You're precious to me, you know you are." Strange but beautiful, like all CT stuff.

  • awesome as usual, but what is she singing about? losing someone, love?... or a baby?

  • transformador...

  • i'm melting

  • pura belleza!

  • More...and More...Star Music for the Astral Pleasure Dome.

Glowing Crystals and Giant Space Age Windows...plush carpets...beautiful circular beds..and a view of only the MilkyWay Galaxy...and other Star Nebulas in the distance!

  • I always thought this was one of their masterpieces. Beautiful from start to finish.

  • i would rate it but there's no 6star option

  • great vid on great song

lirics makes me shiver and each line is dragging me deeper into elisabeths abyss

    into another,higher level of sadness

  • Such a fantastic journey.

  • A heavenly song, and a heavenly video too.. Simple and beautiful..And you have felt it too..The right way..

  • It's always nice when people notice the little things. Though it isn't too difficult to feel the beauty of a Cocteau Twins song.

    Thanks for the comment :)

  • A nice video, fits the song quite well, though it could've been a little more elaborate. I've always quite like this song, i know it sounds a bit incomplete but it makes a nice segue into Summerhead i think.

  • Beautiful. What album is this song on?

  • It's from the album

    'Four-Calender Cafe' released in 1993.

  • Oh, one of the legendary in the music histry isnt it.

  • Fantastic!!

I wanna see CTs live. but here is Japan of Asia.much far from UK.

Are there CTs live somewhere in summer 2008???

  • I would really be surprised if they are as they've been split for over 10 years now.

  • i saw Robi Guthrie in feburar this year though, AWEsome :)

  • Es muy bello, me encanta todo lo de Cocteau Twins!,especialmnte estas bellas melodias tan etereas, parecen hechas para un atardecer acompañado de hadas o algo asi...

  • I remember how I became a Cocteaus fan:

I bought a copy of the NME in 1985, there was a 7" single free with it. CT's were on it also The Smiths, and a couple of other that I have completely forgotton. The Twins are the only ones I became obsessed with, though I did love The Smiths. The track was from Treasure - I don't remember which one. My mother told me to stop playing it I played it so much.

  • The track was Ivo and was actually a different version to the one found on the album.

  • Of course it was! I have looked it up, there are actually copies of that single on ebay! I thought I would stick with vinyl, but in the end I went over to the dark side and replaced all my vinyl CT's with CD's - the only band I bothered to do that with.

  • It was pure luck. While doing botanical research online, I discovered a group called Fear of Dolls. Their song about thorns came up in my search. Fear of Dolls covered "Wax and Wane." I was curious about the original. Napster was still around. I decided to try out other songs by Cocteau Twins. Shortly after, I bought every album I could find. My favorites are "Milk and Kisses," "Blue Bell Knoll," and "The Moon and Melodies" (if it counts as a Cocteau Twins album). I like all of their music.

  • the album "victorialand" might appeal....

  • Yeah, I love "Victorialand" and "Heaven or Las Vegas." They were the first ones I bought. I like most Cocteau Twins music, especially anything they did after their sound mellowed out and didn't seem quite so dark. I just love beautiful music.

  • Try also the album "Treasure" is one of their best!!

    See songs "Pandora" "Aloisious" etc..

  • I came across the Pink Opaque in a record store and bought it because I found the name Cocteau Twins interesting. I've been a fan ever since.

  • Liz is a goddess! =-)

  • ah ... younger...the treasure LP and my long lost friend... swirly days... wax and wane, indeed

  • more people should be CT listeners, it would be a better world

  • If only it was that simple,

    nice thought though.

  • what is so complicated about that?

  • I don't think it's complicated at all.

But our world is, as well you know.

Otherwise you wouldn't have made such a comment.

  • I'm just trying to suggest to others my experience, connect with someone who sees the world through a CT lens, and keep the complications at bay. No doubt, even my world is complicated but i have found a way to turn it off from time to time.works for me, and obviously others as well. we are all different, hey, i had never heard essence before and it is not my fav Ct song after hearing it.

  • My whole musical scope changed the

day I heard the Cocteau Twins.

  • That sounds just about right my friend :)

  • Always was my favourite song from the Calendar album. So ethereal. Melting beauty!

  • Thank you for putting this on. Thank you.

  • *

    I Love this song.

It sounds like "Whales Tails" from Victorialand.

    So unreal.

    (:

    .

  • Brill.

  • I used to throw on a fractal generator

on the computer and listen to this song!

  • Wow, this sounds so much like Victorialand! Simple and elegant beauty!

  • Four Calendar Cafe....delicious songs!!
