@1169Timothy it works good but most of my stuff is custom battles designed so i pretty much have to lose. all i aim for is a higher kill count than the last time i tried. being outnumbered 5/1 with matchlock infantry, a few cannons and 2 enemy generals i still Almost win sometimes.

@1169Timothy they didn't have a large amount of cav in the film. i always play with a disadvantage to practice. i do that in all games rather than rely on easy mode stuffs. =/

@TheRaellz this is quire honorable. But if you are going to fight the enemy with them at an advantage you should draw them in. Hide your forces in trees and in caverns and attract them to your hidden men. Then when they least expect it, NINJA!!! With the random ninja attack you can then charge the disorientated enemy forces with the remainder of your samurai.

Modern warfare has no honor, no skill, all you have to do is point a gun or even a camera and your enemy is gone. Where is the skill in that, warriors today only face each other face to face in extremely rare situations, other than that you never see your enemy's face before you kill him where is the honor in that. @Geistmeister6 - Well if the enemy camps in a corner and their is no time limit then the best thing to do is to do nothing and site back and wait. Chances are he will get impatient and come towards you -leaving his high ground and come to the open battlefield where you can out flank him or use other terrain to your advantage. Its just a waiting game so just make sure not to flinch first. :)

I wouldn't go as far as to say they were samurai... keep in mind that Japan was a pretty much closed off country until after the medieval ages..... I don't think the japanese EVER fought against plate armour.... they faced the mongol hordes, but the Europeans after that were mostly gunpowder-based...

I can't possibly be the only one who notes this, but Zimmer's music here and representing the Japanese in Pearl harbor is hauntingly similar. Something I always loved. Makes me feel that these two movies, completely independent of one another are somehow bound. As well they should be. They are historically cousins. As if Pearl Harbor was a squeal of a kind to The Last Samurai. 2:00 is nearly identical to the Japanese leitmotif in PH. Excellence.. Pure excellence.
