Thank you for the historical info you included. I looked up the film from the record label & see this song is from 1941.
I'm building an ever-expanding music history channel with over 500 playlists so far. I added this to my 1941 playlist. My lists feature most genres & cover the globe. 111 lists let you hear the music of any year since 1900 like you've gone back in time.
"Ilustrowany Kurier Codzienny"? , i search about it and it appears me as a pre-war newspaper, stablished in 1913 and closed in 1939 by the nazis , but i found already other nazi newspaper in polish it was called "nowy kurier warszawskie" do u know that newspaper?
I had been saying about Kraków: "Ilustrowany Kurier Codzienny", called shortly IKC - from 1939 till 1945 was still published but under German full control.
I am sure that such an action must have been directed by a German occupant in other Polish towns; and Warsaw was (had been...) then a capitol.
jurek46pink , u have seen some photo of that " nazi newspapers in polish" and can u tell me were? its only curiosity to see the newspapers of the opressors of poland in poland language ( and im german , when i say oppresors i refer to nazis)
The newspaper was called "Ilustrowany Kurier Codzienny" - was published in Polish language by the German occupant, 1939-1945, with a full Nazi-German propaganda and censorship.
that german-russians are very proud of germany is understandable because they are once gone, they never come back, and to become german as fast as possible is their only way. Different with the POles how can open up a map and see right away, that the border is just close. Visits every year are the standard. Not for russians, they forget their origin land and their family to become a machine for wealth of the Deutsche volk and work hard 50 years meanwhile treated as second class people.
we germans arent NAzis but all think thats why because germany killed so many jews ?? das sind alles verdammte vorurteile... Germmany had in the 2 world war the best Army and the other NAtion win only because there more 10 vs 1 country it isnt fair . !!
Jak zwykle prezentuje Pan rzeczy zaskakujące i cenne, czasem na prawdę piękne. To już nie pierwsza prezentacja krakowska. Czy chce Pan zrobić jakąś monografię internetową?
Excellent explanation, I would have liked that more people in my part of the world could know and understand the magnitude of Europe 's tragedy and how much was lost during those dark years.
Jerzy, This is a lovely song but I am outraged by the Nazi abuse of the Poles and I think You should be "The Polish Minister of Tourism." Your photos of Krakow and the photos in your other videos create a burning desire in one to visit Poland. I must also add that your video of "Walc o Milosci" made the thought of a vacation to Poland very appealing! Dziekuje.
Thanks, jurek, for your additional comment! Your information gives a distinctive clue to the tasks of this institution. Apparently they had to guarantee the exclusive distribution of German music, language and film in the occupied territories. The arrangement of any public entertainment event must have been made under obligatory consultation of this "Film- u. Propagandamittel-Vertriebs-GmbH".
The label sticker is amazing. I was well informed about the Nazis' outrageous political plans after the occupation of Poland. But I didn't know that this "Film- u. Propagandamittel-Vertriebs-GmbH" existed. Do you know more about this strange organization? I could not trace any information in the web.
All I can say is that this record has a special value for me as was offered by a man who in 1943 started work as a technical assistent, being 15, in the biggest cinema of Kraków; such a music was only played there at that time, from labelled in such a way records.

I am happy with you.
However, this very item I would never exchange for any other record.

Thanks for information and the photos. The cheerful music is a good illustration how nice things can go with evil ones.

The song on this record is from the first feature colormovie production in Germany, d.d. 1941.
A label sticker like this one is a silent witness of what happened to your country.
In my record collection is a simular silent witness...
On an Electrola record label glued a German
soldier a piece of paper with the following message:
Meiner Lieben Mutter zum Muttertag,
Dein Fritze.
Ostfront 1942. ......!

Those two stickers differ, however, like the cause and the result...!

It's a nice song for this sad story. Poland is doubtless country which the most suffered from the Nazi occupation.
