I have a shredder that cost $80 at one of the mega office supply stores. It shreds pizza boxes, cardboard, 12 sheets of paper (more I'd guess), 1/4" thick sections of newspaper. The removable basket in the bottom is large and it can hold about a grocery bag full of shreddings. It's also nearly silent.

It's amazing to watch it turn a big cardboard box into a small bag of packing material or compost.

I don't see how this noisy machine with so tiny a shreddings basket can compare.
