Wow i guess i came to youtube to find info on Lulu and thats what happened, with i little comedy and show. "All-in-all" I'm aroused and well in formed, well done.
Hi Alex! First, thanks for stopping by to say hi! Currently, I'm releasing a book through Lightning Source, and my books with Lulu will be moving to LS, under the name Aphotic Thought Press.
I will still use Lulu for smaller print projects and proofing stages on my books. But for all the "big stuff," I'll be working with LS under the ATP label. It's more cost effective, and allows me to turn more money over to my editor. (What, you didn't think I got to KEEP the money, did you? ^_^ )
Great Vid! Think I'll stick to my original plan of finding an agent and letting the agent deal with the headaches. That's what they get their cut for anyways.
Good luck with the agents and with finding a publisher. Myself, I chose to go both ways. =^P I have a few things out through Lulu, but I also have stories submitted with publishers. Like they say, don't put all the eggs in one basket.
If you plan to get an ISBN to sell in real book stores, Lulu isn't free. My viedo makes it clear that if yuo only want their free service, go ahead. But be very careful about spending money with them, because they reserve the right to lie to you and change the terms of the deal without prior notice.
Interesting take on the situation. I should have stripped to my underwear when they jacked up the UK prices back in September. Wouldn't have changed anything, but at least they'd be psychologically damaged.
Aw, thanks! I'm just happy to help, really. ^_^
