When the Rockers came to the WWF in 1988, Marty Jannetty entered the WWF with a well know reputation as a drug user and as a guy that basically likes to party hard, and I believe that hindered him from making it to the top of the WWF. To me Shawn Michaels always had more determination, more focus and more drive to make something of himself than Marty Jannnetty did. Marty Jannetty is a fantastic wrestler, he's probably one of the greatest of all time, but his drug problems really held him back.
This was the golden era of the tag team Division.Sure later you had a great tag team Division in the late 90s and early 200s but it was nothing like this.
You're shitting me, the WW"E" still has tag teams? Both the tag team division and the belt design have really gone down hill. (1) There is no "Tag Team Division" anymore. Now it's just randomizing 2 guys together to make a tag team (2) The tag titles look like giant pennies super glued on black leather to replicate belts.
(I couldn't help but notice that Cody Rhodes (least I think it was him) has the old version of the IC title)
i remember this Classic Saturday Nights Main Event, damn I loved those, i remember the feeling id get when it came on at about 1100 1130 Saturday Night all them years ago
look at that the year was 1990 4 tag teams in the ring and ur still missing the nasty boys, power & glory, the bushwackers and rhytm and blues .....WWE this is what a tag team division looks like!!!
@javidavi99 the wild stallions, the hart foundation, british bulldogs, twin towers, russian bolsheviks (sorry if spelling is wrong) legion of doom, brain busters, the conquestadors lol (again sorry for the spelling) just great days to remember...:))
what ever happened to barry horowitz...:))
i believe for all the beatings he got he deserved a belt of some sort?? lmao
and great win by demolition no other smart tag team would think to pin the man even if you are not the one actually fighting
@javidavi99 WWE will never have tag teams caliber like they did in the late 80s and early 90s ... How can u get better tag teams than the Demolitions, Rockers, Nasty Boys, Hart Foundation, Legion of Doom and the list goes on ....

this is so much more exciting than the garbage today.
I love how Shawn shows so much concern and emotion while waiting for the tag. Small things like that really sold wrestling back then.
