There is much more to the roots of electronic or synth music than Kraftwerk. They`re not quite the pioneers everyone claims they are.

For Example Mort Garson, Bernhard Fevre and Tonto's Expanding Head Band did stuff that is

closer to modern techno and electro when Kraftwerk where still more of a Krautrock Band.

But they where very unique and had a great concept and very cool songs!

There are a lot of pioneers in electronic music. Varese, Hindensmith, Trautwein, Schaeffer, Haack, Sala, Carlos, Stockhausen - you name them

But that doesn´t change the fact that Kraftwerk are the most relevant of those early artists because it was their version of electro that became influencial. What makes them truly the GODFATHERS of electronic music.
