  • Wow! Beautiful stuff. Love the sound you get playing such intricate melodic stuff with your right hand over the neck. Especially impressive without a scooped neck.

  • aye!

  • Thanks for posting all your tunes. your style of playing is an inspiration. I hope to learn a couple of your tunes.

  • Must add that You have a great T-shirt there... (Mandocucian`s Digest) Flaming´mandolins - a good start???

  • One of the best things I`ve ever heard!!!

  • Beautiful! Makes me want to take up ANOTHER instrument! How difficult is banjo to learn (Wierd question, I know- I play Irish Flute, whistle, bodhran drum, drums, djembe/percussion strumstick and a little guitar)

  • Fantastic playing. your syncopated bass notes and overall feel is very pleasing to the ear. What size pot is on the instrument?

    Thanks

  • @buzzmangitplucka

That was nice to hear. It has a 11" rim made by Dan Pennington

  • Mother of god..... That was amazing.

  • Absolutely terrific.

  • awesome dude. simply awesome.

  • That was awesome =]

  • Beautiful!

  • JUST BRILLIANT

  • Goddamn this sounds awesome! Banjos make everything so... dancy! :D

  • super

  • that's really great! What kind of banjo do you play? Do you use anything on your finger nail? Thanks.

  • Thanks,

just my own nails and they are quite short...

The rim of the banjo is made by Dan Pennington.

It is made of cocobolo tree and there's a Dobson type donut brass tone ring on top. That is made by Bill Rickard. The neck is an Asian Ebay mahogany neck and the color matches the rim.

  • Love the tune.... nice touch to your frail!

  • If anyone is interested I could send a basic pdf tabulature of my arrangement. It is not note for note but will give you an idea of what I play.

    Let me know.

  • Holy bajeesus, would I ever like a tab of this... oh my god.. if you can manage I would be grateful!

  • Fantastic!! I would be more than glad if your offer about a tab on this gem is still on? 5 stars! I love tunes in the modal tuning. Especially Irish reels etc.

  • j'adore !!!

  • Thanks a lot, it is basically the Dubs fiddle melody played at double speed which makes the longest notes short as well..I could write a tab of this arrangement if you like but I improvise a bit all the time I play. Let me know.

  • Very good. I'm a great fan of the Dub's myself, and love their version. Do you have any written music of your version? Can't figure the tune at all.

    All the best,

    Sjoerd

  • Hey thanks for the clip .. Very nice playing .. Al the best , Guy

  • *** The way you play reminds me of Ken Perlman and you do a fantastic job !!!

  • Very nice.
