  • Min 4:10 = PoPOpopopopappow i love this song!

  • best version of this game

  • Leo: Hey Kring, bring that statue back you bolded been bag.

  • Ah, the 90's, golden age of arcades and beat-em-ups...I miss it.

  • My god, I had the metalhead turtle toy at 4:11 when I was a kid! =D

Now I'm 23 and an Veteran. Haha, How time has passed! Sigh.....

  • how many of you played this game at a chucke cheese in the 90s?

  • @MANdrew257 I played this game 20 times when I was a kid but it wasn't at Chuck E Cheeses it was at another arcade called "Party Town" which is actually not opened anymore.

  • @Quamlen yeah, they dont have this game anymore, its pretty hard to find in arcades or chucky cheeses

  • Why would you say the game is rigged? I guess since it was an arcade game you have to take a lot of cheap hits to eat up more quarters? Anyway great playthrough!

  • OMG i loved this game!

  • Dang! I miss 80s-90s. We had the coolest fighting games at the time. We had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, Final Fight, Streefighters, Neo Geo fighting series. Those were the days. When problems were solved through fighting, no guns and shit.

  • TMNT:(TIT) ????

  • That makes SO much more sense than "Hey, Shredder!"

  • If it's 3am in the Big Apple, where are there so many building lights on? Is everyone working overtime?

  • @Skylinesandsunsets It's the city that never sleeps for a reason.

  • @Skylinesandsunsets

It's New York, bro! It's one of the businesses cities in the U.S. along with Vegas and L.A.

  • wait, are you THE Sivak? like, the battle kid Sivak?

  • @GeekyGuyWithGlasses I certainly hope so.

  • @SivakD huh, I keep running into you, whether it's on Screwattack, or just watching playthroughs of turtles in time :P

  • who else who play awesome fighter games like this find themselfs bitting their lower lip or going ape on the controller (or both) because you're so into the game and are getting really good

  • I'm so pissed, they remade this for psn and arcade, and it's complete shit.

  • @CisQo5 agreed total bullshit!

  • i remember playing this @ chuck e. cheese when i was a kid. i used a shit load of tokens just to keep hogging mikey. LOL! good times

  • @mrclown760 how far did u get at it when u played it at chuck e cheese

  • @freddyfingerr to the train level. leatherhead was a hard son of a bitch. 4 some reason, i would always run out of coins on that level. everytime. LOL!

  • lol Raph's face, derp

  • woot the TMNT arcade audio is so much better and clearer than the snes one =o well duh

  • GOD i remember how happy i was when they came out with the SNES port for this game, and they actually did an amazing job on it, except voice acting and what not. But damn this arcade version had great graphics, sounds, music, voice acting, man it had it all seriously i spent so many countless hours and quarters, then my prayers were finally answered on the SNES, best Arcade-Console port EVER!!!!!!

  • lol, 2:42 mikey matches the hits of the song with the foot soldier hitting the floor

  • A perfect choice, Michelangelo!

    Who doesn't love a nunchaku twirl'n, pizza chomp'n, sewer surf'n, fun love'n shell shocker?!

    TURTLE POWER!

  • Metalhead; what a prick! This guy used to piss me off when I was a kid. Not only was he tough to defeat, but he was also an arrogant douche...just look how he casually walks towards you before he attacks.

  • Man... THAT'S THE BEST BEAT'EM UP OF ALL TIMES!!!

  • GAWD I love bein' a TURTLE!!!

  • @ SivakD Did you download this to a computer?

  • The music, oh the wonderful music....DAMN YOU UBISOFT, DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the song for the Alley Cat Blues level <3

  • LET'S KICK SHELL!

  • Best villian theme in a video game ever!

  • @zelclerks3

Sure, I got my ass kicked in Turtles 1, but that was not the reason. A sidescroller-on-track just didn't feel right for the turtles games... and where you couldn't play with a good friend at the same time.

    However 2, 3 were awesome.

  • This was the only coin-op I ever beat. I must've been about 12 years old at the time, and beat it in a bowling alley arcade with the help of my friend and like 10 bucks in quarters. Very fun game! n_n

  • Turtles in Time team looking at the NES Turtles Team: "See! It's possible to make a Turtles game without fucking up!"

  • when metal head twist his legs in the air, he is very much like mr satan in budoukai!

  • 0:49 PIZZA TIME!

  • LOL. I'm glad the SNES didn't have such great voice clarity. It wouldn't have been such a less otherwise.

  • i HATE the turtles!

    i LOVE the battletoads!

i dont like this game either, but its probably cuz i h8 teh turtlez

  • The Super Nintendo version of this game is my favorite, "aww killed myself"

  • i hard for me to say this but, this actually looks alot better than the Snes version.the action is alot faster and it has more animation and different enemies.

  • LMFAO WHy does Metalhead sound like Charles Bronson?

  • just played this amazing classic today! that technodrome seemed harder than i thought! man! shredder could really pack a punch!

  • I always wanted to know: is there a sequence for throwings or they're just random??

  • @JoseChaps there is a way you can do it every time. It took me a little while to figure it out, but it's possible. Attack once to temporarily stun them....move in a little closer, then attack again. If I remember correctly, it should throw the foot soldier at the screen.

  • i love them

  • I remember this so much as my faverite game as a kid! lol i remember how me and my dad played this alot1 lol FUCK i want to go back now! GO FOR XBOX with this ARCADE NOW!!!!!

  • 0:06. Sounds like Krang had a krangasm...

  • what they eed to do is re release this game using a mix of both the SNES game an the arcade itself with hd at best for 2d graphics with all the features which the snes was special for, along with a few extra lvls an bosses maybe ^^;;

  • Way to talk to the TV, GOD those turtles are so stupid!

  • The version on Xbox 360 wasn't better than this one. It was too short because it didn't have all the levels. It's fun but not better than this one.

  • please release in xbla

  • They NEED to make this and the simpsons arcade downloadable on PSN & 360.

  • @necronomicon009 The original turtles arcade game would be nice too. I mean they've given us X-Men so why not?

  • @necronomicon009 YES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this game brings back so many memories playing it on the .

    ughh nostalgia

  • Is there any way to play an emulator of this?? I'm dying to play it, but I can't afford an arcade cabinet.

  • 2nd boss looks a lot easier than the snes version

  • Aw you use Mike.

  • "This Cave is Creepy"lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "COOL OFF SUCKER!"

  • the turtles are so bad ass that they can make explode a barrel of gasoline with a nun chaku (is spelled like that right?)

  • I love Metalhead's strut. It's those little nuances that the developers paid attention to that made this game a classic.

  • Why didn't they put THIS version on XBL like they did with TMNT 1989? Better yet, the superior SNES version? The "remake" they served up sucked balls.

  • bean bag? I didn't know Shredder was Mexican.

  • Too bad the Irate Gamer didn't play this arcade game first he might not have become such an idiot

  • I always like that instead of bosses having their own life bars, they have flashing lights on them as you damage them more. It has a very retro feel in old-school beat em ups.

  • The creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is from the great state of Maine.

  • Metalhead: I am going to mangle you green Slimeballs..!

  • I never saw the extra spicy chili dog fart at 0:02

  • pizza time ftw

  • I love how Shredder is on the TV yet Leo ignores him and says Krang instead

  • thanks

  • Awesome, I remember playing this great game at an arcade in Rosarito, Mexico. While my family was riding dune buggies on the beach i was pumping quarters at the hotel arcade!

  • How do you actually perform the throw? In the Snes it could be performed whenever you wanted; but in the arcade, it seems so random...Does somebody knows how to actually do it?

  • "Hey krang! Bring that statue back you bloated bean bag!"

  • Man when this game came out on the Super Nintendo it was over with the Sega Genesis.

  • how do you play 2,3,4 player on mame instead of player 1

  • @russbuck05 ,You have to config the game.

  • Hey you picked my guy!

  • TBH I have more nostalgic memories of the original TMNT arcade game, but this one was also quite good...the SNES version is ultimately better, regardless of the fact that it was somewhat downgraded visually and aurally (sp?).

  • is there team attack if you have multiple players?

  • Oh man I sank so many quarters into this! And that D&D game..

  • My favorite turtle is Michaelangelo!!!!

  • Ubisoft had a perfect template in terms of gameplay, graphics, and music with this game-and they mucked it up in a pile of poo that is Reshelled...

  • This game has extremely impressive production values for the time; look how fast, responsive, and smooth the animation is. Even the voice acting is good, before most games even had voice acting (let alone good voice acting). Great game.

  • i just beat this game yesterday at an arcade

  • I spent sooo much time playing this game at the Arcade (I think Chuck E. Cheese). An Incredible fun game and one of the best side scrollers ever.

  • the remake of this game suck they gotta bring the original to the ps3 and the 360

  • @koyson

    fucking a, my friend...fucking a...

  • Gosh. I absolutely love the music in this game. It's so nostalgic.

  • 4:10 good thing you moved away.

  • In My Opinion this is the best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game ever made

  • @Terryfan I agree, best gameplay, I remember when I use to buzz off the fact u could throw them out of the screen

  • @Exesta Thanks for the story I always enjoy the part where if one of the Turtles hurt their foot they would go "OH MY TOE MY TOE" That the funniest thing I ever heard in a video game

  • @Terryfan yeah and bounce on 1 foot, i actually used that as a tactic, cos if u stubbed ur toe once, ud often jumped up and down long enough to miss 3 more obstacles (the pink spikey balls)

  • @Exesta That is the truth and the fact you could take on a whole army of foot soldiers and give them a Turtle beat down

  • @Terryfan

Totally agree! I love it for the fact most of the earlier villains are included - even some from the movies!

  • @ChannelBelongs2Scott It has the best of both worlds that's for sure and they really thought hard about how to please both fans of the show and the movies

  • remake? the nes game sucks and this is an entirely new game. For nintendo systems (Super NES) this is called TMNT IV because it was the fourth TMNT Game. The nintendo games are as follows:

    TMNT on the NES,

    TMNT II: the arcade game

    TMNT III: the Manhattan project,

    TMNT IV: Turtles in Time.

In the arcades, this was the second game for the turtles, the first being the original version of the second NES game.

  • Everytime i see arcade machines, i look for this one.

As of now, i havent seen one for at least a decade . im 17...

    :(

  • @pollo20x6 I thought I found one a few months ago, but it turned out to just be the original TMNT inside the Turtles in Time cabinet. :(

  • This game is absolutely AMAZING. The arcade version delivered so much for its time along with the super nintendo version as well. Like, just take a good look at these graphics! My God... they're outstanding! and the super nintendo version wasn't much behind the arcade in graphics either... they're nearly identical, besides how the foot soldiers explode, and the overall animation.

  • I thought Metalhead was a good guy. I guess Shred captured and reprogrammed him.

  • in the animated series metalhead ends like a good guy

  • Absolutely awesome! Brings back memories! 2D forever!

  • I would usually wait for Baxter to get on the ground and then I would wail on him. Metal Head, depending on the diffculty, if it's on easy or normal you might be able to get about five hits off of him before he has a chance to counter, but if it's on hard then the hit and run move is the best method to use.

  • i remember this game it was badass

  • jajajajaja love mikey because when you stop for a while he starts lagfhing out of nowher

  • LOL Raphael's face at 0:15!

  • I played this in vegas one time I will tell you this I died five time with donny then I went with leo it was just as hard but for 25 cents I could not complane.

  • please send me a link or something to download this because i want the arcade version soooo bad.

  • Which TMNT game do most people like better?

[] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [the first arcade game]

[x] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time

  • I Like BOTH! :D

  • I have an Xbox 360 with both games and music and graphics aside my vote is for Turtles In Time, because I think it has a larger variety of bosses and a better story than the original arcade

  • This is giving me some tips for survival mode for Turtles in Time Reshelled.

  • cool off sukka? :S

  • good graphics, youve gotta admit, it was made in the 90's and it's TMNT whats not to love

  • Better than the first arcade game, since it fixed a lot of the original's problems. Enemies weren't as cheap, though the game still devoured quarters with glee.

  • I noticed in the arcade version it doesn't drain your health when ever you use any of the turtles special moves.

  • Damn Raph looked retarded as hell in the begining WTF!!!....

  • at 1:08 krang says it like it's an everyday hello

  • I liked the 1st TMNT arcade better. The controls just felt better. This one felt kinda chintzy and it was harder too.

  • which emulator do you have to play this classi carcade game on?

  • use the zsnes

  • i love the boss battle music.. Cool..

  • I can't get this damn game to work on mame fx, someone help me?

  • I like the SNES version so much more! The music is way better which is odd since Arcades usually have higher quality.

  • I see so this is the TMNT - Turtles in time the Xbox360 was gunning for. When they made it Re-shelled.

  • he was easier in the SNES version

  • well, yeah you can just keep throwing quarters in.

  • Okay, metalhead is doing the gentleman walk. Why?

  • Metalhead was always my favorite baddie from the TMNT series, not sure why. So his gentleman walk just makes him more badass in my book xD

  • He was programmed too. haha

  • So this is how you played the game without spending so much tokens.

Back then it was all button mashing and wasting all my allowance!!! LOL

  • so wait... the special attack DOESN'T cost health points?

  • This game was kickass, I totally forgot about it for 4 years then someone reminded me, TMNT! Then I'm like, oh shit, that game was fucking awesome! Too bad I sold my SNES! (god damn it)

  • This brings so many memeries back.

  • 00:13 Leo: "Hey, Krang! Bring that statue back, you bloated douchebag?"

Can someone tell me what he really says, cause this is what I hear....

  • beanbag

  • Dude he said "bloated beanbag" and its really obvious he doesnt say douchebag

  • The arcade also was faster. The Snes one was really slow.

  • The only thing the arcade version had over the SNES version was 4 playered gameplay and improved animations.

  • And, those goofy voice-overs.

  • Apparently, Rafael and Mikey think the Statue of Liberty being stolen is fucking funny. XD

  • everyone who is upset about the xbox version, ez.. just get an arcade emulator and download the rom arcade version of the game.... ive had this arcade version for years on my pc, never gets old

  • How about they should have fucking put the damn thing in it's original form on Xbox live so I could enjoy it instead of boycott it and avoid it completely?

I've had the game on an emulator for over 10 years now, I don't need to be told to go download it. I wanted a version I could enjoy playing online all proper like but it looks like that will never happen.

People that say "go download the original" or "play the original soundtrack on your xbox in the background" should be shot and pissed on.

  • gotta work with what u have, wtf else do u wana do bout it

  • this was what i wanted xbox to get but we get shitty one like it

  • I didn't realize how different the boss patterns are on the arcade version. Between this and the SNES version, it's almost like playing two different games...just like U.N. Squadron/Area 88.

  • 2:30

    What blew up?!

  • yo they all blew up except for those that flew on the screen

  • If my eye sight and hearing is right, i notice that the animation is better...The voices are clear(of course) but the music is.....meh not as good as the SNES version. I found the SNES version to have better music, meow.

  • i am really sad right now because they did a new version of the excact same only better graphics and gameplay and they didn't even put the old music on it. classics r unreplaceble. and ya i think the older game on the first nintendo was a bit harder then this one. and nice vid

  • i was thinking the same thing, it sucks they didnt use the original music they just replaced it with even crapier music

  • how did u get the original arcade version?

  • He probably emulated it on MAME

  • Oh man...the memories!

  • This is one of the best games ever to play with friends.

  • Great game. I absolutely love TiT (Turtles in Time). TiT is awesome. TiT is amazing.

    ...<_<

  • Haha!. i love TiT too!.

  • I still have the SNES version of this since it first came out in the spring 1992. i think it's time to play this one again. i played this like crazy during my childhood. great game. great memories.

  • its coming out in 3d on xbl/psn in 3 days.

  • Well that sucks for me because still don't own any of the 3 consoles that came out in late 2006 yet -_-. i'm still wait for that nice price drop on the XBOX 360, PS3, and the Wii. waiting for the Wii to drop to $100, XBOX 360 to drop to $100-$200, and the PS3 to drop to maybe $200. i'm not rich, lol.

  • You might find an used one, but even so TMNT3D-remake for XBLA or PSN won't go away.

So you can get it later on.

  • didn't the arcade version let you thrwo enemies into screen and they slide down the screen, but on xbox version the body just keeps flying ,without crashes into tv screen

  • I think they only did that on the Shredder boss in the Technodrome to emphasise that's how he takes damage.

  • ooh thanks for the info

  • great video dude on the best game ever

  • OMG i remeber this game I beat it with my dad

  • What system was this for

  • super nintendo, but theres a remake coming out for Xbox live, and PSN
