god, something terrible happened to me in black reach:
I was just walking through blackreach. Me and my friend, sven. Until we were surrounded by falmor. I was alright and got through but sven was healing himself. I thought he'd get back up soon and left but he never turned up. So I went back and sven was dead! and he had all my good armour and all the pricy stuff i'd collected! So I got unencumbered. So I had to walk all the way to downstar still unencumbered! it took me an hour! never again!
Blackreach is the most amazing spot in the game. So sad the dwarves died and nobody lives there now :( wish u could make it full off that would live happily there. Also if u could rebuild it then that would be great.

If you're playing as an archer vs a giant at close range expect to die a lot. This is why we have cover and companions in the game. Very easy to lose several hours in Blackreach scouring the place for hidden treasures. Its like a much darker version of Zangarmarch from wow - the burning crusade.

i seem to have a much easier time killing giants and falmer than him, on expert. For giants I use Unrelenting Force and charge in with my glass maces (legendary),
@iggsterify well, one sneak attack with a good mace does the trick. Also couple sneak shots with bow works too. When I recorded this I didn't actually want to kill that giant in the first place :)
Blackreach reminds me of Zangarmarch in wow, and i love it. Enjoyed every second of the Nirnroot quest and the mobs in there were very easy to kill aswell.
This place is fucking huge, it's like a whole new level. I haven't even scratched the surface in here yet. And I found a Crimson Ninroot, more quests yay!
@HalfTimesTwo don't think so. I've just upgraded my skills a lot, a couple by exploits but if they are there I'll use them if I want. Focus on your combat first then improve your other skills
You know everyone is like oh black reach is so beautiful and the scenery is amazing and so on... well I fucking hate this god forsaken shi-thole, is so fucking huge you cant put your shit together there, there is no way you can be guided by the map and you can't simply find the way back to were you just been a couple of minutes ago, black reach is the most horrible place in the whole game.
@kurono1999 I fucking know. For the first 10 minutes I was like, "Oh wow, this place is so beautiful, how wonderful this magical cave is." Then I couldn't fucking figure out where I was, where I have been, where I need to go, etc. And just when I thought I was close to the end of it I find 5 more fucking doors that lead to trap-filled ruins where Lydia decides it's a good place to get killed. Three and a half cunting hours in that place, that's how I just spent my night.
I need help. I'm currently stuck with the quest where I have to find an Elder Scroll or something like that, the quest after meeting the leader of the greybeards on top of the throat of the world. It's really tiring. First there's the glacial runes, then there's animolucary or wtf is that, then there's the cathedral and i thought it's the end and now there's this fucking blackreach. i'm stuck here can't I find where I should be going even with clairvoyance. and i get badly damaged easily.
i am hoping bethesda adds DLC for morrowind since someone found the entire tamrielic landmass in skyrim (as well as the imperial city). i mean it would be awesome to explore all of tamriel, but im sure everybody wants morrowind back. i hope the main quest in morrowind (if they add it) involves running the thalmor out and the return of the dwarves (dwemer). after they return, i want to see a war for blackreach between the falmer and the dwemer. and i dont want the dwarves to be evil.
I was, at the same time, utterly amazed and terrified with Blackreach. For one, it's a flippin' huge place filled with giant glowing mushrooms and the two scariest enemies in the province (Chaurus and Falmer). Also, some parts tend to be very dark which would put me on edge if I wasn't a Kahjit (night eye, you see).
@dannyy353 it's in a tower, just go there and follow there arrow. You will use an elevator and then get to a puzzle that you gotta solve. Although, i'm sure you passed it since you posted this a week ago :P
tip. while youre down there exploring blackreach. whenever you come across one of the dwemer lifts. open it. use it. open the gate on the top level. then go back down. that way you can use it in the future to get down if you want.
hahaha okay, i went there for the first time today. The scenery is AMAZING im not going to lie its a beautiful place with nice reflective water and ruins, but damn, i hate that place so bad the enemies are just a real bitch, and that quest for 30 crimson nirnroots.....thats a bitch too cant find the last couple
@EmuSnacks Some of those plants are in very tricky places. Search those waterfall areas. Couple plants can be found indoors and one is under some bridge, which, if I remember correctly, is behind locked bars, you have to swim to get there. This bridge was inside a building somewhere. Hope this helps :)
htis is a VERY beautiful game area but either way it creeps me the fuck out those little falmers remind of those little cave monsters from the descent im glad i did that quest right away
@TheJayden1900 I thought I was the only one who saw a resembelance in the Falmer and those things in the decent.. And the fact the Falmer & those things are blind are super creepy.
I just finished the quest Discerning the Transmundane. First you have to find Septimus Signus's Outpost north of Winterhold. The rest is pritty logical. When finished u get Oghma Infinium that adds +5 points to ur chosen skills.
@LuceafaruI I mostly found corundum and soul gems (there is an vein called Geove that gave me corundum and soul gems lol. I also found ebony, moonstone, quicksilver and gold but in small amounts. I spent many hours into this thing!
Blackreach looks amazing, and the whole of Skyrim in general is just amazing.
