  • great video and very helpful thanks a lot!

I just wanted to ask how long are you supposed to be doing those drills for? and how do you fit them into your schedule? so like do you do them on a daily basis before your workout or on an on-and-off basis after your workout etc. ?

    thanks again

  • thanks so much man!

  • watch?v=wACr2klVuYo hey wacth my video coordination testing

  • Ok I love the drills, but when you were doing the squat to front leg kick all I could think was "keep your front hand up!" I know it's not really aimed at at hands, just .. yeah. Too many years of getting slapped in the face if I didn't. XD

    Really awesome drills though

  • great video man thanks a lot

  • do you offer seminars? What is the name of your school? I am staff at NYGKA in New York, will be moving to Malmo sweden. As I will be"jobless" I thought I'd study for a year.Any other way that we could communicate - I struggle with all the passwords and have already gotten strange e-mails via utube...

  • thank you for posting your instructions. Where are you located? are you an instructor?

  • @mariagouras Thanks, yeah I am TKD instructor here in Cologne, Germany.

  • Thanks - simple but effective. Footwork and coordination is not great with a lot of my students - shall try these out on them tonight.

  • Fair dinkum you wouldnt wanna fight this bloke

  • great video mate !

  • i can see how these would help you walk easier. thanks alot

  • I think I would fall flat on my face if I tried to mimick these drills, but they seem like they really help keep you on your toes.

  • Finally some VERY good footwork drills material.

I was thinking in ways to improve my movements for MMA, now i have many ideas in what to do : )

  • @Poetainf these drills wont benefit footwork in fighting. If you want that you need to do all your drils in a fighting stance and maybe do some short range plyos.Footwork in fighting is very much influened by anticipatory skills like reading opponents cues as well.

  • @billysue2

Really? Cause you would think that having awesome explosive strength in the foot and calf combined with balance would be a benefit to your "anticipatory skills" to GTFO of the way or set up a counter. I always have my hands up in my guard doing agility drills, but thats more for habbit than some skill benefit

  • @Nezarus0 anticipation is a perceptual skill.,not physical. My point is footwork dills not done in the fighting stance are a waste of time, its the same in every sport, tansfer of abilility is so specific people without education dont realise.

  • @billysue2 These will benefit in fighting because the skills are transferable. Sure, it's better to practice the specific skills, but to engage fast-twitch muscle fibers as well as the particular types of motor neurons that are facilitated to those particular muscles that are engaged, can be transfered to any type of foot movement.

  • Wonderful, really! You practise tkd?

  • SHOW US AN ALI SHUFFLE!!!!!

  • thanks these look cool ill try some

  • they remind of me of shuffling cards

  • nice work, thank you. i play soccer and these exercises seem perfect for it.

  • that guy is pro..his exercises are really valuable material

  • @monkonmartin33 I agree 100% i will use this.

  • can anyone tell me how many sets or how many drills should be done? along with explanation?? thanks

  • Great Vid

  • Excellent man, thanks a lot for these.

  • hey the stool didnt fall off

    ima try this :)

  • Swimming also help your footwork and other .. (such as overhed and etc ... )

  • will incorporate this into my system training asap just great!!!

  • Great vid. I think the exercises are applicable for anyone who wishes to improve balance/footwork. I'm interested mainly from a martial arts perspective. Bruce Lee said superior footwork beats any attack. Something to think about.

  • I learn a lot from this guy, simple to learn and effective

  • cool vid dude

  • Not like Pesecool video.

  • Isn't this type of footwork for soccer only?

  • why should it be?

  • Mrm1291, thanks for asking. Upon reflection and rewatching the video, i realized that some of the drills are indeed useful in badminton. Such example includes drill 3 which really improves leg strength and speed. Even though all those drills improves footwork, i guess i thought this footwork was for soccer only because the drills seemed like they were more geared towards soccer. For example drill 2. In badminton you don't move that way.

  • mrm1291, oh nvm. I realized something . Ignore the part about badminton. But regardless, these drills seemed more geared towards soccer anyhow.

  • could also be useful for any sport that requires agility, speed and nimbleness, fencing, maybe tennis or boxing for example.

  • Yeah. I know. I should have changed my question/statement to "Isn't this type of footwork more geared towards soccer instead" and not put only there. Sorry about the confusion and thanks for asking, because I wouldn't have realized lol.

  • Some good exe's! Keep up...

    J

  • Very Helpful. Saw a few things that I can use.

  • awsome footwork man, this guy is light as hell on his feet, you can tell just by looking at him. I'm going to be using this stuff.
