  • Love Lizzy ,i'm ready !!!!

  • I was blooded on Thin Lizzy in 1978 & I've had Thinlizzyitis ever since. The best band this planet has ever seen.

  • I thought this was a Rollins Band Original for so long. Should have know Thin Lizzy were responsible... Love both versions.

  • my favorite Thin Lizzy line up! ROCKING!

  • do you know what i'm talking about?

  • My favourite Thin Lizzy line up. Its a shame Robertson had to get in a bar fight on tour, and get himself kicked out of the band. Great sound

  • I photographed THin Lizzy in 77 when they opened for Queen. To see the shots go to 70srockphotos (.com)

  • This is how rock is done people. Not that shit like Katy Perry and Lady Caca.

  • 8 people aren't ready and obviously never will be. Oh dear.

  • Great band, great song. This kind of music always makes me feel better.

"Live And Dangerous" is truely a classic.

    R.I.P. Phil Lynott.

  • was this on any studio album?

  • Sounds better the way they play it live... just a bit faster really give it a little extra umph!

  • Paul, John, Phil. He should be in that songwriting club.

  • 8 peolpe aren't ready to Rock or indeed Ready to Rip it Up Phil!

  • 8 people blow dick.

  • @jimllfaxit

Hahahah this is great comment.I think they suck big one .........hahahahah

  • @proxy69 While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, why spread your inanity? Why are you wasting your time posting stuff like that? Find something else to do with your time.

  • @proxy69 you are obvously a gangster wannabe who listens to beats done on a computer, with some idiot just ryming words, yea thats real hard to do retard. You are one of the few people who walk the earth, not knowing good music if it fell out of the sky, landed on your face and wiggled. now do us all a favour and dont speak

  • @MrPorsche91730

You got me wrong here my friend.

I was laughing about this guys comment that said 8 people blows dick.Because if you do not like this song then you have no sense for hard rock. Those 8 did click on dislike button. And yeah they blow dick.

How could anyone not to like Lizzy and this great rock'n'roll hymn?

    Take it easy man ..........

  • @proxy69 sorry man my bad. it sounded like you were being scartistic. cause it really wasnt that funny i should of picked up on the fact that you said they suck a big one though, my bad. ive read some really funny things on here. blow dick really ant funny, in my opnion unless you are 12

  • This puts a smile on my face. Love the diamond at 1:22.

  • where was this recorded?

  • @STRATCAT101 The rainbow club which I think was in london

  • @STRATCAT101 It was recorded at The Rainbow Theatre in North London. The venue is now the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.

  • Flying carpet this is terrible! holy shivering christmas! nothing happened! just bad hair and skin tight weird. Three exclaimation points. That's your "scratch it verbally".

  • cant sit still,awesome

  • Just one of the best songs ever! In less than 3 minutes, Thin Lizzy say more than many bands say in their whole careers. Just awesome.

  • Eveytime i put this on my head instantly starts moshing its like a habbit

  • @eewoood Me to. Once got so carried away by just how utterly awesome this song is on the bus, I forgot where I was. Did I care? No! Lizzy will always be my number 1 band.

  • From argually one of the best albums ever put out!!! By one of the best rock outfits ever!!!

  • Thin Lizzy influenced just about every good modern rock band that is around right now. It's funny / sad that most people don't know Thin Lizzy beyond the boys are back in town. It's even sadder that most people (at least in the US) don't know or seem to care about rock and roll at all. To that I say eff you surface dwellers enjoy your Justin Bieber.

  • @kemicon i hear you pal.great group.

  • Had Live n Dangerous LP in the ammo stock since the 70's but first time I've seen the video of the concert. Awesome performance by the band. Many "hot summer nights" spent listening to the album. My version has a police intro to it and I hear that is not the norm?

  • Back when Brian Robertson could really play :-)

  • I'm always ready to ROCK !

  • lynott is effortless on bass...magic.

  • thats unreal,you mustve had a blast

  • look out! fucking legendary!

  • Brian Downey on drums is epic

  • @clwilu94 glad to hear someone say that brian a great drummer,i used to play in a small band and brian and the drummer out of taste, were my idols, years later john used to play my local every sunday with a band,i recall eric bell came and played one afternoon that was a good day,as this was only a working mens club, having john wilson and eric on the same stage in a small hall was great

  • increible solo y pedazo temazo

  • awesome song, awesome band!!!

  • so 70's love it, rockers with tight pants and white platform shoes. only in the 70's.

  • @rkc415 Don't forget the giant turquoise rings!

  • Yeah, how could I forget. Funny to see how some people try to dress like that now to look cool. Just don't see men in platforms anymore like back in the day. Man, we went from wearing your pants above your ass to now below your ass---you'd that happen???

  • looks like opal

  • @foggyrf9 Yer probably right Opal is waaay more rock and roll.

  • Can anyone post them playing the warrior on live and dangerous. I found one clip of a guy playing guitar along with it and it sounds great , I would love to see it.

  • Fuckin Class big Phil and the Boys. Wont be beaten

  • FUCKIN AWESOME!

  • the all time a-l-l-t-i-m-e rock lick

  • fkn love this band!

  • Long live Lizzy / Gallagher and all The Irish Warriors who inspired everyone regardless of the lame Magazines and critics (not rockers and fans) who tried to pull the carpet from down under those legends ...... Fan from Saudi Arabia ..

  • Phil Lynnot con su voz y su bajo noquea como hacian sus hermanos de raza los boxeadores Muhammad Alí y José Legrá campeones del mundo de peso pesado y peso pluma.

  • @Zepplica911 and don't forget they unite the hard rock family despite race, religion ,country and colour..cheers fan from israel

  • remember when rock stars were slim?

  • remember when rock stars wer amazing, both looking and playing. wer did it all go!

  • saw gary moore in april he was rubbish all did all night was tell fans to fuck off . gary moore dod is best to fuck up lizzy he is just a twat

  • THIN LIZZY KICK ASS!!!!! most underrated band??? WELL NOT BY ME!!!

  • i worked at a kroger store,i was just 18,i bought the tape a few days later.the whole album is good, with southbound my favorite.i loaned it to a friend who never heard the group he dident want to return the tape.loved it to,i got 3 speeding tickets while listing to this album, one time i was going 111mph in a 35 with 11 cops chaseing me.i was fined 60.00 for my ticket, and the cop removed 3 stop signs for me.what a time 1978 or 79.

  • Sorry but, Thin Lizzy is far better than both UFO and Rainbow.....

  • @ultra John Bonham once told Richie Blackmore that he believed that Thin Lizzy were going to blow Rainbow off of the stage every night when the two were expected to tour together in 76-77.If you think about it, Thin Lizzy's twin Les Paul line up vs. Rainbow's keyboard prog rock line up would have been a slaughter. To make matters worse Rainbow were fronted by the Elf himself Ronnie James Dio,nuff said. The only band that could have given Thin Lizzy a tough act to follow would have been Van Halen.

  • One of the three most underrated bands of all time along with UFO and Rainbow. Such an awesome band.

  • Still one of the greatest bands EVER !!!

  • LIZZY, LIZZY, LIZZY. LOVED this band since 1977. xxxxxxxxx love u phil. xxxxxxxxx

  • Damn these lads rocked.

  • this is a great song to start of with if your playin in a pub.............."ARE YOU READY TO ROCK ARE YOU READY TO RIP IT UP".........(pub or any gig).......love THIN LIZZY.

  • I feel very sorry for those people that only know boys are back in town when such an insane banger exists.

  • dude youre so right

i cant even listen to babit or jailbreak

neither would place in my list of top 50 lizzy tracks

  • this is my favorite period of this awesome band and their sound was what it is all about!!!

  • is that snowy and gary they change there guitarist alot i always get mixed up lol

  • hi its scott goram and brian roberston. the best driver and rear.top guns.

  • A group of us took a bus to S.F. as a late teen and enjoyed "Thin Lizzy" at "Winterland". Small intimate venue. My buddy took acid and sat on a radiator all night, anyway we collected him and took him home afterwards. When I entered the hall there was this small floor with a Balcony and bar. We all were under age but with the help of a couple of fake I.D.'s purchased in Berkley we managed to have some drinks and view down on the stage the performance. They rocked. Peace.

  • yes and vinyls are more durable than cd´s

whole package, music and sleeves, you hear a band as they play on live not emphasize descant or spoil analog sound with digital techincs.

  • Man this song cooks. I think the Lynott / Robertson / Gorham combo has got to be one of the best pairings of all time.

  • One of my all time favourite live albums, I have this on vinyl, it has dozens of photos from the stage shows all over the sleeve and inner sleeves, I love vinyl album covers, especially L&D.

  • No better live album than Live and Dangerous. This band should be in the R&R Hall of Fame. Phil is a badd ass bassist and genius songwriter

  • @PHXVic Fuckn'A right!!! Phil was and will always be THE MAN!

  • are u ready to dance are u ready to rip it up......................fuckin great god bless u phil

  • WHAT A BAND !!!! So awesome. Definately one of the greatest Hard Rock Bands ever !!!!! "LIVE AND DANGEROUS" is a "must have" album for every Rock music fan.

  • I dont consider Black Sabbath Heavy Metal.

    Thats hard ACID rock.

  • Black Sabbath were heavy metal. I dont consider modern "metal" as heavy metal though.

  • Awesome....

  • I saw them 83 Hitchin with Sykes, and Sykes 89 Toronto wit Blue Murder, what a sick guitar sound

  • No dude , that was black sabbath

  • No dude, that was Hanson. MMMMMMMBOP !!!

  • danko jones sounds alot like them..

  • I like the end line up, Gorham and Sykes, in 1983 from the Live album, its harder than the other line ups.

  • Thee Rock Gods!

  • They were pure rock. At 01:00, Brian and Scott look like they were in fire in an amazing duo attitude !!!

  • DAM these guys were the best , and the life of rock and roll took one of the greatest hard rock figures from us.there will never be a band like this ,ahead of there time, the fathers of Heavy Metal

  • Quality....RIP Phil.

  • i like this band

  • U like? Wooow...

  • just saw this whole gig on sky arts. awesome shizzle

  • My all time favourite band. Pure class. Everything rock should be.

  • awesome post! thanks

  • Phil, Robbo, Scott & Brian.

    bono is a tool

  • yeah i hate when people leave out rory hes one of the best

  • have you rockers heard of rory gallagher? irish bluesman

  • yea

  • Before those hair sprayed pussies U2

    there was Thin Lizzy.

    Ireland Rocks, it doesn't Wave.

  • U2's not bad, just not as good as Lizzy

  • At :28, it looks like Scott comes out of nowhere.

  • em ... no he dont its just lights .. that said if scott wanted to appear out of THIN air he could!! ha ha ha

  • Phil had THE best rock n roll voice ever in my opinion.

  • omg!!! chuggin' beer and smokin' weed jammin' out to this shit is fucking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING THIS!!!!!

  • wonderfull..

  • You got that right! I was so lucky to see Lizzy live back in 1980!

  • pay attention kids, THIS is how you play rock 'n fuckin' roll.

  • You are so right! My 15-year-old's band plays this. Not any of that shit like Fallout Boy or Stinkin' Park. This Lizzy was a killer band like Led Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, The Who, Aerosmith and others.

  • damn straight!

  • you said it man

  • That's a word of guy, who's fully fitted to seventies. Respect man, from loooong way from You, from Poland. Blesss Ya!

  • what studio album is this on?

  • I don't think it was on a studio album, but I could be wrong. I've yet to find it and I'm a Thin Lizzy fan.

  • yeah that's what i thought...it's annoying as it's my favourite Lizzy song

  • It's only a live song. Best 2 vesions are on Live & Dangerous & the Killers ep, which is a 1980 Dublin show with Bad Reputation & Dear Miss Lonely Hearts. It's really really cool - probably slightly better than the Live & Dangerous version. And Bad Reputation on there is unbelievably good. Worth hunting down the recordings.

  • phil lynott a total legend

  • That's right, man!

  • this is the reason im in a band, thin lizzy live and dangerous ! what a fukin amazing album prob the best live album ive ever heard

  • timeless

  • Rock n' Roll legends

  • two les pauls in harmony.....and the planets did align.....

  • Balls out rock'n'roll,killer stuff!

    Phil "U still de man"!

  • Saw Lizzy twice in years gone by absolutely fantastic band.Love this track especially Rob

  • superb !!

  • this was the rock and roll that was about

  • This track disproves all the cynics at the time who said Live & Dangerous was basically 90% overdubs in the studio later on. This is the very same track that went on the album, We can see exactly what Scott and Robbo are doing. Overdubs? Yeah right. If you'd ever seen them live like I was fortunate enough to, you'd know that they were the best hard rock live band on the planet at the time, and that was simply transferred to vinyl. This Lizzy line up was THE best. Priceless.

  • Couldn't have put it better myself. Robbo said on the interviews (on the DVD) that he never plays the same thing twice live.
