GOD your hair is beautiful! I wish I had 3b hair, mine is 4a. Are you mixed? Cause you look it. I am, and between either parents of mine I wasn't going to get lucky, because even my mom who is white has very very dry very curly hair. she has to do just as much maintenance with hers as I do mine. I try to keep mine natural, but I stil straighten it with a flat iron and then just wrap it, cause my hair just doesn't look good curly. And I SO wish it did. lol. I would never straighten it!

@EritreanChic HEllo! I brush only the ends of my hair! you are not suppose to brush hair when it is wet since it is very fragile but this is the only way you can brush curly hair. I do not feel that I damage my hair if I brush only the ends!

i am sooo sorry to say but NEVER brush your hair in the shower. it pulls it out and the more u do it the more weak ur hair will get, only brush your hair in the shower if you have really really really strong hair.

@TEEHEEhippolover When you have thick curly hair, you should only comb it when it's wet and has detangler/conditioner in it. The reason being is because when you have curly hair the hair strands are bent, so while combing it each bend of the hair your comb will latch on to it and pull your hair out. When your hair is wet and has a detangler in it, it clumps your curls and weighs them down so there is less bend to the hair strand making it easier for the comb to go through.

protein treatments i've heard are good for getting your curls back. curly hair can get ruined if you straighten it every day. just treat it nicely, moisturize it, and keep it away from heat. <3

Yeah you may be right when you say that curly girls should not use gel or mousse, but this Dop crème is full of silicones (and I think it contains alcohol too...), so it ain't better, if not worse for your hair's health (I live in France and I used this crème too, before knowing about the Curly Girl method).

@DanceUrHeartOutt You hair is kinky and thus not curly. You should appreciate the afro you have. It can be very beautiful if taken tare of and style you well. Think of it as a way to be beautiful and original at once. So, my answer is NO, there is no product that magically transforms your type of hair, but there are moisturizers out there that can help control the frizz in your hair. Any leave in cream would do, good luck.

@DanceUrHeartOutt People don't realize that "afro" hair is the curliest...very tight curls. So, you do have curly hair. The diff. is that her hair is looser. You could texturize it with chemicals to loosen your curl ...I don't advise it. Or search YT for a vid on braidouts. You'll get the looser pattern temporarily without chemicals. Also, gel and creams will define your curl and take off the frizz. But your curl might be tighter still. Good luck to find ur best technik
