i now watching from tv korean program featuring the african proverty and came across goose dream, it brings me tears in my modern desgn room while millions out there we robbed,,,, thanks for opening our stone haert to open softly,,,,,,,keep up
your skin and everything else .. artists and the South Koreans want so much to be accepted in other countries, to be successful in Korea and yet the mind is so closed. They want to be global, but has a closed mind .. the music that is popular there are essentially black, african-american music, dances, clothing, gestures, speech and everything copied from blacks, but blacks do not appear in the Korean media ... to understand the??
That comes to show that it doesn't matter race you are. You are who you are. She has such a beautiful talent. What a shame for those to not show her face and for her there be racism discrimination in her own family. I'm glad she finally got a chance to sing not only for herself but for the world to know that it doesn't matter what color skin you're in. We all are human and should deserve to give a chance to shine our own beauty. THANK YOU INSOONI. <3 =)
@JrAndMii Because before she was known as a singer, people outcasted her, even her g=family I think. It was because she was half-korean and half-african-american. They bullied her and teased her but she endured it all and became as singer, reaching her goal. That's what the song means, "Goose's Dream". She didn't give up her dream even though she was discriminated.
I Love you Insooni sunbea , you make me cry , you are so beautiful , so so beautiful , i'm truly loving you , kamsahmnida sunbea to make me stick in my dreams , i love you <3
her dad may be an african with an american citizen status, doesn't mean she might be quarter african quarter american [american doesn't equate to white people only]
when people make fun of me for my ethnicity i listen to this :)
im black and japanese i have the same skin tone as her but my eyes are smaller.trust me people think its funny and make jokes or they say hateful things
she went through so much because of the racism she faced due to her african american father. when she first debuted, she wasnt allowed to show her face on broadcasts, had to cover her hair because of its afro quality and was banned from representing korea in competitions and when she was born her mother was given an ultimatum, either be disowned and raise insooni or give her up. this woman has been through so much and has so much courage and resiliency. this is why this song means so much to me
she may not be "beautiful" on the outside but she's glowing on the outisde
korea companies should look for ppl like this more often. unlike some companies who look for looks more than talent. just a piece of mind. but anyways. this person is amazing.
@WorldofNene she's beautiful in both ways =) She strived for 30 years to enter this industry .She made it and she has proven to everybody that she can succeed =')))) *bows
The lyric of this song, is the complete testimony of the singer Insooni herself. How difficult it must have been, growing up in 60's South Korea as a half black-half Korean girl...
She barely held herself together and finished this song. Never seen a live performance like this in Korean TV.
@12zuzus "american" is not a race. there are black americans, there are white americans, there are hispanic americans etc etc, but the word "american" doesn't have anything to do with race.
What a strong, beautiful, and powerful voice she has...This song is just...Amazing. So amazing, that I can't even explain it with words...I just love it.
Such a beautiful song! always remember it from the 1st time hearing it.. I don't understand the meaning and the language..but the emotional is there...especially sung by Korea's Diva Insooni with such a powerful voice..I love it soo much!!!!
Goose's dream gave me Goose Bumps.... AMAZING..I usually comment in this kind of performance like "corny", "OverActing" and some sort of negative comments but this one is different... INSOONI make me want to get out of my seat and stand to yell out "BRAVO"... She spread the emotions and it reaches me. AMAZING... Im a fan now!
Sometimes when we divide something that is complete into separate elements, we lose the magic of the whole. My comment is: Insooni is a wonderful combination of spirit and emotion in a musical form. I am an american songwriter and I don't understand the words, but I understand the emotion.
american is not a race o.O She's half korean and half AFRICAN
