  • In her mature years Sinead has become more confident, less angry and still as brave as ever. And her eyes are still beautiful.

  • This world would be a lot more peaceful without the comments section.

  • Creepy, sinister, opportunistic, weasely, cult! Lookin at these guys in dresses makes me squirm! In any other walk of life, if your caught harbouring child rapists ie, conspiring with /or aiding and abetting a paedophile ring, you spend a lot of time in jail! ... AND it shouldn't be for the Pope to punish them. Whats he gonna do? Make them pray more! These people have commited the ultimate betrayal/worst crime imaginable and ARE CRIMINALS!!! - they are not above the law and they ARE NOT HOLY!

  • anyone notice the pope looks like the sith lord from star wars episode III?

  • Shut up dumbass Sinead is kicking your ass!!

  • FUCK CHRISTIANITY AND CATHOLISM

  • If I was the Pope and I found out about what was going on, I wouldn't just write a fucking letter. I'd go mortal combat on somebody's ass. Really. And to StSimonMartyr, 1 molestation is one too many. Please don't just state statistics. These are children (i.e humans) we're talking about.

  • Do Not Compare General School Board Abuse with Religion. Religion supposed to practice and represents The principles of "Goodness" and not Pedophilia. The Church and other Religions such as Islam should be highly critized and criminal charged for pedophilia crimes, higher than a normal citizens.

  • The gentleman on the right was arguing that the Pope had no prior knowlege of these events until recently? So he can not be held accountable as well? Any good military person knows crap rolls uphil as well as down and you are responsible for what your troops' actions. The highest leadership levels need to start making tough decisions and do the right thing by their other clergy as well as the general Catholic population

  • THIS VIDEO SHOULD BE POSTED ON ALL CATHOLIC CRAP VIDEOS.

  • G-d Bless you Sinead *warm hugz!* Yeshua loves you!

  • O'Connor is a great champion of human rights across the board.

  • I LOVE her!!!

  • Why does everyone put the burden on the Church to stop sexual abuse? It is up to the police not the Catholic Church to investigate criminal behavior. If there are no priests or Bishops, who are trully guilt of a crime, behind bars it is not the fault of the Church, since she has no criminal investigators.

Furthermore, these crimes were committed decades ago, why should people stop going to Mass? That is not how people of faith respond to such a crisis. The enemies of the Church need not apply.

  • I was Catholic seminarian but left my Catholic-faith because of so much politics and hypocricies of this church.I invite all Catholic people to read the history of Catholicism and discover the true color of this chuch. Just read the "Inquisition" first.

  • I admire this woman so much for never leaving her personal beliefs and fighting for such a cause like this even when the masses could never get her and hated her. Its a pity many people dont realize about the truth

    Go Sinead!

  • "Local Chruch issues" ~ this is double speak for "The Vatican is not going to pay a penny to the victims of child abuse" ..

  • she knows her stuff! much respect!

  • nothing compares to you ,you have lead from the front on irish child sex abuse issues and the rcc have hid from your intellect and nailing down of the points in irish law , canon law is bable in view of the truth and facts, well said and done you define the word bravery .

  • That guys a scumbag

  • All of us should follow her example . Let stand up and be counted . Call your diocese phone line and tell them that they are being watched ... Keep them on their toes and out of their comfortable elements (secrets, lawyers, privileges... ) . . Keep an eye on bishop Mahoney, Vlazny. They are cardinal Law buddies ...

  • I wish we could all be as courageous and selfless as her.

  • I can here truth and love in Sineads voice no matter if she is singing or just talking......I dont trust the talking head for the pope.........and when I see the pope in any setting I feel a cold darkness that his lifeless eyes cannot hide.

  • How dare he say that the forced vows of silence were for the protection of the victims? That man has no soul. Sinead is so wonderful.

  • Sinead's original rant against the pope in the 1990's was from before the on-going molestations and child abuse in the vatican became public.

I think it was a general statement against the Vatican's support for Judeo-Christian instigated Wars and Genocide...Not to mention Former Yugoslavia (where the pope was telling Bosnian women who were raped by Christians to not have abortions(!), and the vatican's continued preaching of hatred and malice etc.

  • to the people saying things like it doesn't happen anymore, its a small percentage of priests, its mostly older children in their teens and you can't be a good catholic if you do what shes doing in other words speaking up for the rights of young people who are wronged....are YOU guilty priests in disguise? abuse is abuse it is wrong any age any way any day by any person and cover up or not, my 8 year old brother was abused recently and the church is indeed trying to cover it up. thank you sinead

  • Sinead is Trash... like many anti Catholic bigots,,,,ready to jump on unfounded accusations before serious proof is offered.

  • @Enigmatik691 hmmm well asuming your Catholic, isn't it your job to be "anti- [Insert Race, Sexual Preference, Other religion". Religion causes war.

  • MADONNA NEVER HAD HER BALLS.

  • The pedophile crisis was horrible (actually, it was mostly an ephebophilia crisis) and hopefully those who are guilty will be brought to justice. But let us remember that this crisis was a very tiny percentage of the priesthood. The vast majority of priests are good men who do so much good for others. Of course, they aren't rich stars like Sinead O'Connor, so no one has heard of them and they are forgotten. People only like to talk about the very tiny percentage of pedophile priests.

  • @chrisman737 No one is attacking Catholic priests, or the Catholic religion, just the Vatican's handling of the current situation and it's very radical world views.

  • @chrisman737 its true that only a minority were/are sexual predators; but because they were protected and shuffled around, and because the church is a global institution, the number of young lives they affected is HUGE. the church failed to confront it, and has only changed in the face of victims speaking out in country after country; sinead o'connor's career was destroyed because she spoke out about this before ANY PRIEST EVER DID; so please don't sneer at her as some "rich star."

  • @moremi123, they were not so much protected as they were treated and released - this advice given by secular psychologists at the time -- the same bad secular advice followed by the Boy Scouts and the U.S. Public Schools. Thank God, we now see the error in this. A known pedophile can not simply be treated and sent back into ministry. Sorry, Sinead is a rich star and many spoke out against pedophiles --including a certain Ratzinger, who was actually criticized for being too unforgiving.

  • @chrisman737 Priests were not uniformly given treatment; if you read the reports about ireland and america in particular, its clear that bishops just transferred priests to other parishes, told no-one, and had children take vows of silence. Yes, child abuse was generally not taken as seriously until the 80s, but no-one with sense could have believed that these men had repented or reformed when they did it over and over again. The priority was the church's reputation...

  • @moremi123, I would have to read the individual cases, but in most cases the priest was, in fact, given treatment. There were no "vows" of silence -- children are not allowed to take vows. What some people don't realize is that much evidence the Church had could not be released because the victims themselves, on their own volition, requested that the information be kept quiet. Pedophilia is horrible, but let's avoid sloppy generalizations.

  • @chrisman737 and its not just about sexual abuse. the irish inquiry revealed endemic physical and psychological abuse of vulnerable children being 'cared for' by the church. Of which, by the way, sinead o'connor was a victim in the "magdalen laundries." The irish have collectively had the guts to take a long hard look at themselves and their history, and the culture of deference to the church that gave them the power to abuse in these ways, and other catholics should follow suit.

  • @moremi123, I have heard some bad things about the Irish Catholic Church. I do not have any evidence to support many of these claims, nor has anyone presented me with any evidence. I certainly pray that the truth comes out, totally and completely. But by this I also mean no more cheap tabloid journalism coverage -- but thorough, objective, and mature looking at the facts without resorting to character assassination or blind attacks.

  • @chrisman737 the truth HAS come out; the government did large-scale investigations. Look up the Ferns Report; or read/listen to Colm O'Gorman, a survivor who was instrumental in getting something done about all this. Saying that the silence maintained by the church was for the victim's sake won't wash.

  • @moremi123, sorry, it does wash, because it is the truth. Not in all cases, but in most cases. In many of these cases, it was the victims themselves, repeat, the victims themselves that asked that all information be kept confidential.

  • @chrisman737 Repetition doesn't make a weak case stronger. Some people kept quiet out of shame, that's not a positive point for the church. People feared the authority of priests and that they wouldn't be believed, and in some cases, small minded people blamed the victim. In other cases, the victims were sworn to secrecy. You are defending the indefensible. This went on over a long period of time, and because of shuffling paedos around, it was more well known by other priests who kept quiet.

  • rapists, simply rapists. power generated by church criminals.

  • @epopllehotog LOL :'D

  • FIGHT THE REAL ENEMY!!!

  • These people still control the Irish school. Ireland needs a secular state

  • ...this dike has hair?! When did that happen??

  • I can't believe there are some people still go to church after all this!!

Churches and the people work there are not any closer to god than you are, more like at the bottom of the society. Why do you go there when you get nothing meaningful while you can worship your god at home? If you have to go such places, it means your faith is not strong enough?

  • When will we rid ourselves of these horrible superstitions?

  • I love what Sinead is doing. But I go to Mass, one Sunday, and one weekday a month. I have not, and will not give a penny to the Catholic Church, until the lies, especilly of Pope Benedict stop.

I will not support a lying , child-rape coverup Pope. But I will not let something as pitiful as his lies keep me from receiving communion, the Holy Body of Christ.

  • @carrrrera how old was Mary when she married Joseph?

  • @flaffywaffy Idiot, regardless of her age in case you didnt know, Mary was a VIRGIN, lol

  • @carrrrera What does Sinead O' Connor think about Islam?

""And I love the Sufis for the same reason, because I think they're pretty much the esoteric side of Islam. And the whirling dervishes. They are Sufis, and they have this thing that they call "God the Beloved," and this tradition of the most incredible kind of religious poetry, this kind of ecstatic poetry " - interview with Beliefnet

  • @flaffywaffy Mary was a VIRGIN

  • @carrrrera when she got married at the age of 12, yes, she was a virgin, but it wasn't long before Yahshua's brothers came along was it? What was the age of consent at the time of Muhammad, bigot?Hmm? The age of consent in the UK was 10 until 100 years ago!! If you don't understand cultural context, you shouldn't make loudmouth statements about prophets, fool. James the Just wasn't a virgin birth, was he? HMM?

  • @flaffywaffy I mean, let's be honest, it was 1400 years ago when Muhammad and Aisha got married. She was betrothed to another before marrying the prophet, insinuating that the age of consent in that area at that time was 9 or 10. The CHRISTIAN age of consent in the west was 1O UNTIL 100 YEARS AGO. MARY married at the age of 12. That was considered normal in the culture, AT THAT TIME. VIRGIN OR NOT. Are all the christian prophets and teachers of old paedophiles too? CARRERRA, YOU are the idiot.

  • @carrrrera "I love The Holy spirit, don't matter if u call it Allah, Jehovah, God, Krisna, Jah, fred or daisy. it's all the same Spirit. I am certain the biggest shift in human thinking in the 21st century is happening now... we can love religion as we need rituals..BUT..The Holy Spirit is a bird, free to fly and land where it likes... and we will come to see, very soon, that we don't actually need 'religion' in order to have a relationship with The Holy Spirit" - Sinead O Connor Washington Times

  • @carrrrera "U mention islam.. a religion horribly misrepresented by terrorists... which is like the IRA saying they represented Irish people.. Islam is a BEAUTIFUL religion.. wud make u cry its so beautiful... and gentle. " - Sinead O' Connor, Washington Post Q & A , Friday, March 26, 2010; 3:30 PM .

  • @carrrrera fantastic, a diatribe of nonsense. I know what the hadiths are, you clearly know nothing, I had a look on your channel, refreshing to see that everybody else thinks the same. Why are you watching Sinead o Connor videos? Is she ignorant too? Oh by the way, it's NAIVE. You really need to learn how to spell. FOOL. BIGOT.

    Matthew 7:22

  • why is this woman not running my country?? Love her to bits.

  • JESUS CHRIST is beautiful and perfect. People are evil and corrupt.

  • there are going to hell anyway including the pope

  • i think sinead wanted to punch that guy lol

  • alleged cover-ups? serious?

  • There's also a jewish coverup of jewish rabbi's molesting children. Why is not reported ? Also, Planned Parenthood has been covering up child abuse for decades.

  • Jeese. All she needs to do now is totally rid herself of the Great Whore that is the Roman Catholic Church. It's great for her to want to defend it, but Revelation 17 & 18 give a pretty vivid description of the church. She should leave it behind and just be a plain Christian, none of this Mary & Saints worship that the bible never talks about.

  • 10,000 lemmings can't be wrong!

  • How does this lackey for the pope, Austen Ivereigh, sleep at night? The contempt that he displays is disturbing. So, the cover-up was to "protect confidentiality?" "No other pope has done more?" That's not saying much. Does he really think that victims will agree that "severe reprimands," and "resignations" will serve as adequate, justifiable compensation for wrongs committed by the clergy? Sinéad is right: he thinks that we are idiots and half-wits. She was right in '87; she is right now.

  • Sinead ..God Bless ..you are in my prayers ..

  • @temporaldisplacement Absolutely.

    Deceptive intelligence at its best.

  • Yes, Catholics need to boycott Mass and the Vatican.

The Catholic church is a cult which has brainwashed its sheeple from birth.

Anyone who remains in the cult knowing this, is colluding with the abuse.

  • The CEO of the Catholic Church Limited should be held accountable. Well done Sinead great article/letter that you wrote in The Independent: Sinead O'Connor: I'd help Jesus to burn down the Vatican:

    independent ie/opinion/letters/sinead-oconnor-id-help-jesus-to-burn-down-the-vatican-2087994.html

  • a crime is a crime child abuse is the worst crime toghether with rape those who commited it and those who covered it up should be put in front of the courts and put away like the reset of the peadophiles in prison.

  • October 14, 2009 NY Times, exposed the sad extent of Child Sexual abuse in Brooklyn’s Jewish Community & details Cover-ups that have long been aided by law enforcement.

There were 40 cases of abuse in this tiny Jewish community last year, 40 in 1 town!

Catholic Church had just 9 cases in the same yr.

Rabbis allowed by the D.A. to settle these cases internally

Where are the groups protesting Synagogues?

Or lawyers? Or comedians/entertainers cracking jokes about Rabbis raping kids?

  • @StSimonMartyr yeah right thats your catolic cover up figures bloods on your hands now

  • CHILD SEX INDICTMENTS PLAGUE ORTHODOX JUDAISM

    By Rev. Ted Pike

New York journalist and attorney Michael Lesher says, “A certain amount of sexual deviance is going to be found in any society. What is really shocking is the extent of license that’s been extended to these people to victimize children and if you are a pedophile, the Orthodox Jewish Community is one of the best places you can be”

    Amy Neustein-Tempest in the Temple:

“What outrages me is the cover-up by its leaders of the crimes'

  • Abuse in School 100 Times Worse than by Priests

    April 1, 2010 (LifeSiteNews)

Charol Shakeshaft, researcher of 2004 study prepared for the U.S. Dept of Education, "physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100xs the abuse by priests"

2004 study most accurate data available at this time indicates nearly 9.6% of students are targets of educator sexual misconduct.

6 credible cases of clerical sexual abuse in 2009 reported in the bishops annual audit- 65,000,000 members'

  • @StSimonMartyr yes and it is rife in in thousands in the catholic church so whtas your point 9 casaes sorry thtas your popes doctored figures bloods on your hands freind

  • Anti Christ Jews have attacked the Church as payback for keeping society safe by keeping them in walled ghettos.

Now Jew attorneys are like rabid dogs chasing after the few cases there are, while disregarding cases in Prot and Judaic faiths, which are at epidemic levels.

Protocols of Zion #14 spells this out very clearly..

  • @StSimonMartyr and this has what to do with waht with the pope covering upthousdands of sex abuse cases by preists

  • 6,000 cases in 60 years, while there have been over 600,000 priests serving in these 2-3 generations.

You are talking less than 1% incidence rate.

Public schools have that many cases yearly.

Prots molest are rates of 40:1 and Jews at 100:1 but we all know who makes the Kosher News.

If you dont see the Jew bias, youre an idiot.

  • The people who carried out this abuse and their protectors should be held accountable. But it pisses me off with these celebrities making out they are the only victims, its all about self interest with this crowd.

  • Pope Benedict step down now so that our Church can move forward and recover. You are supposed to be guiding our Church not bloody destroying it.

The only way for our Church to recover is if the Pope steps down!

  • If the Pope does not fully acknowledge and accept full responsibility that he and his institution has had in the past in providing a safe harbour for child abuse, it's hard to take his promises of future measures against it seriously.

One must really question the claims of divinity and moral highgound of this institution, especially if is true as this spokesperson says, this is the best they can do to prevent abuse. What kind of god would let such an institution represent him?

  • See NEW SEX SCANDAL PLAGUES CHURCH - FUGITIVE PRIEST SHIELDED; Google vatican-cardinal-accused-of-protecting fugitive priest

  • Those who dont speak out strrongly against sexual abuse of children are a part of the problem,...and when the apathy comes from the top, it is even more reprehensible.

These cases should have been turned immediately over to local authorities, like any other person accused of a crime.

I was no big fan of Sinead before, but I am now. She is another big "loud mouth" speaking up against injustice....

  • The vatican has nothing on isreal which is the sexual slavery capital of the world. But of course zionists aren't going to expose other zionists in the newspaper.

  • Wasn't Sinead O Connor a priest hereself?

  • Sinead O'Connor is a brave and honorable woman

  • @biggeorgewebley She is not. She's got a troubled mind and offended the Pope for nothing.

  • Is this REALLY Sinead O'Connor? God, she has completely changed!!!!

  • @JeanVe she got older but still has that gorgeous eyes...she is so beautiful inside and out---she was right too about the abuse she was trying to tell us --staring from tearing up the pope's photo during SNL she was right--now its time for people who hurt her for 20 years to apologise to sinead....

  • Did the pope possibly molestered children?

  • @sKepptiksowat did the bear possibly shit in the woods?

  • The catholic church has nothing to do with Jahs'uah Hamash'ah (Jesus Christ). It's origins are heavily shrouded and birthed out of paganism and the worship of Europa disguised as Mary.

There is no righteousness within the heirarchy of the vatican or the church of England.

Its evil from day one and they have forced themselves to be the face of what church is in the west.

They do nothing based on Bible belief yet are classed as "THE CHURCH"

    An evil conspiracy.

  • And here in America where Murphy (who in their right mind would call this man a father) who raped over 200 children in Wisconsin... The Pope chose not to place him on trial.

Egg on his face? The Pope has egg on his face? He's got the blood of childhood innocence on his hands.

  • The Vatican is to blame plain and simple... and that includes the Pope and the Pope needs to step down and show us some humility....

    Vicar of Christ my ass.
