  • I agree, the UI is good. But I am still comfortable with my note-taking app I bought at majorspot[dot]com. It is easy to use and I can convert immediately my notes to PDF format. I forgot, its name is Ghostwriter Notes. :)

  • cool.....there is an app. to write whith iphone? thanks....

  • I can no longer find the app Take Notes in the app store. Anyone know where I can get this of if it is still available? Thanks

  • I imported a scanned image. It came in as Landscape and I need it to be Portrait to be able to type on the blanks. How do you rotate an image in TakeNotes? Otherwise an awesome app? Where else can I find support?

  • Is their an iphone app that can edit PDFs?

  • Comment removed

  • is it available to draw something and then save into the same file but not create a new one!????

  • 4:10 LOL FOOL

  • It sounds great app but I couldn't found in App store please tell me how and where could I find and buy this app?

  • @hamid0012001

it's called "TakeNotes" now... hope that helps!

  • wooos niice!

  • This looks a cool app, I'm going to go and try.

  • This app is no longer called PadNotes. It is now called TakeNotes. Someone else took the padnote name and the app is awful.

  • USAiTunesGiftCards . COM Says it all !

  • good

  • OMG!!!

  • this is fucking retarded.....for kids only. what about high end softwares? any?

  • it's terrible. how are u supposed to take accurate notes on this. Face it. u cant type or write with just your fingertips. you need some sort of stylus. It's a shame that the courier project was abandoned...

  • @kdvtg Don't they make a stylus for the iPad?

  • @overvision Pogo-sketch by ten1 design,

    Purchased mine and its awesome...

  • @basslinet My friend let me borrow his iPad and it is pretty awesome. The real shame is that some people have negative opinions about products that they never even tested.

  • @overvision I agree....

aww well its their loss :)

  • Awsome app. Really intuitive!..... Remember the must-have-app SubMapsXHD:)

  • lol ..this is a testiment that the ipad is just an etch a sketch.

  • Age 5 under. LOL

  • If my kids saw this, I'll never see my iPad again! ;-)

  • Nice, the kids will love it!

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • WHOW!!! You can totally use it as a notebook with a pogo sketch.

  • Is there an e-mail you have? So the guide says to choose from an upload server, but there is NO ADD CUSTOM BACKGROUND BUTTON... is this just a bug? Please let me know whats going on.

  • Hey your description says I can IMPORT PDF files, but the help guide only explains how to EXPORT... I am looking for some assistance becasue you don't have a support e-mail or anything! If I cannot import files i will get a refund.

  • To the devs: Great job on the app! The concept is exactly what the iPad needs to make it truly awesome, but (sorry there is always a but) smartNote looks to also be very well designed. I will try both on launch day :)

  • Will this be free?

  • oh dear this looks pretty shit,, look at the dodgy response on the handwriting, what a crock of shite!, atleast the courier gives you the choice to use a stylus, and to draw and make notes you need what?... yes, a 'stylus'..

  • @artwel123 this video is demonstrated using a mouse in the iPad environment, so it's not actually using a finger. and I personally don't want to use a stylus, i've used them before with things and never liked them.

  • Looks good!

  • Looks like the one App I am waiting for!! Now I only need a stylus or something (pogo sketch? Exact enough??) for writing formulas and short comments on my scientific papers...

  • The pogo sketch is not as accurate as a pen on paper. I draw with one on the iPod a lot. It works great as a paint brush, and can still draw fine lines, just not as accurately. You will simply just zoom in slightly. The Courier will be better for journaling and writing notes with it's pen input (if it exists). But will be much worse at so many other important things such as apps, games, browsing, video, photos, etc, etc. etc. Most people are going to want work and play all in one device. I do

  • Courier?? By the time that comes out, there would have been tons of better Journaling apps for the iPad

  • "Courier is better"?

You mean, "Courier, if and when it gets beyond the concept state, seems to be more promising, based on what little we know"?

Personally, I've found that actual software tends to work better than vaporware.

  • TEST & KEEP THE NEW APPLE iPAD ???

Click our name (offers4u) and follow the link.

Offer is Limited to the next 24 hours ONLY!

  • courier is better!

  • couriers a concept that probably wont happen.

or at least wont get to consumers, the thing with Microsoft is, they think big but never implement.

  • nice app, but the point is that it's just impossible to write math formulas, graphs and texts with your fingers...

  • you can buy a stylus for the ipad if you want, its called pogo sketch

  • @z3d0 Absolutely correct - but this is exactly one thing I'd like to do. This "pogo sketch" mentioned by loboextomy (just google fo it) looks promising. But does have this kind of a ball to write with. Does anyone already know if this is exact enough for writing formulas and stuff?

  • I WANT THIS :O

  • This is going to be fantastic. Can't wait for even more iPad apps. Can't wait for iPad!

  • Will done! How much will it cost?

  • @sean89503 500 dude. not even joking.

  • Think he means the app

  • exactly!

  • app is great but UI is just like win311

  • I thought the iPad would have image drawing, but not FUN image drawing. Apple you have made a lifetime customer of me.

Fun image drawing is going to become the next big thing, I just know it.

  • omg...

  • Love it! When it gets into the App store let me know (John Painter), I'd love to do a review on it at iPhone Life.

  • this will be a big plus for iPad. Good work! ;D make my hand itchy to get one iPad.

  • Huh. I can do all that with a free program on my tablet. It's a shame that people have to pay to get those kinds of functions on hardware that's composed mainly of a touch screen. I mean no disrespect to the author. I'm just say you shouldn't have to program this app in the first place.

  • Without an active digitiser it's hard to see this taking off. Sure you can get a stylus for a capacitive touch screen (pogo and others) but they all feel like drawing with a blunt crayon.

Then there is the problem of resting your palm on the screen which will interfere with your inking.

Using your finger as a stylus is difficult because it requires constant muscle contraction and arm movement that will lead to RSI. With a pen you have leverage so you don't have to move your arm at all.

  • Wow, that looks pathetic and unusable. The concept is good, but the app doesn't come close to making that concept a reality. It looks clunky, slow, frustrating and unsuited to touch input. Imagine trying to quickly take lecture notes on that!

  • wow!

  • how much will it be?

  • More reasons to get an iPad

  • lockerz pm me ur email

  • apple could have made better

  • I have a sneaking suspicion that the controls shown in this video aren't nearly large enough to be really touch-friendly.

  • Fantastic. Now I don't have to learn to program Objective C again. This seems to cover pretty much every aspect of the App I've been working on for the last month.

    I'm sold.

  • Looks very tempting.

  • Not bad at all. I hope you get this thing approved without any issues.

  • this seems usefull but without a stylus I feel that all the drawings and notes would either take forever, or look like I was having a seizure while making them

  • iPhone has styluses, so I'm pretty sure they will all work on the iPad, too.

  • @liquidsuns iphones dont have styluses

  • umm yeah they do.

  • @liquidsuns no they don't.

  • google the pogo stylus. that's just one example. there are a bunch of them.

  • Oh! I thought you meant like an integrated one made by Apple! whoa! slight communication there. yeah. I'l prolly getthe pogo stylus if i get this app on my iPad (pre ordered this morning)

  • lol applefan detected

  • oh yes they do.

  • yeah. I just said that. stop being ignorant

  • okay. you are right. I didn't see your last comment. But, you shouldn't be calling me ignorant if I didn't see something. Ignorance is a personality trait, and, if you didn't know about iPhone styluses, then you are uninformed, and IGNORANT. I am just basing this on your comments, and you yourself may not be ignorant at all.

  • I knew about iPhone styluses, I thought the poster meant like an integrated, comes in box made by apple stylus.

  • so my finger or that small ass keyboard is supposed to take the place of my pen and paper ? you are kidding, right ?

  • My first "must have" this app is quite useful.

  • Are you doing this with some kind of pen or your finger?

  • Very clever app.

  • I submitted this on 9to5mac and it they posted it! w00t!

  • Looks butt ugly, but quite useful.

  • I would totally buy this!

  • One of my future purchases
