Common states? They've fought each other ever since hey all excisted from yugoslavia, bosnia and kroatia to holand luxemburg germany belgium france to spain portugal italy an britain....Meaning...That if the european people allow this to happen their forefathers died for nothing! They defended their values, their cultures and their laws for nothing but a hole in the ground! This commercial is propaganda to the bone, death to those technocRATS!!
And they don't even bother to translate the official video in other language but english (altough this propaganda is obviously paid by non-english speaking countries' citizens, too).
well of course it would be worser if they wouldn't made a video, so everyone could say "look you are not even celebrating the event, you knew it would not work out"
The actual crisis is not the crisis of the euro (it is still one of the strong currency in the world) the main crisis is a crisis of debt in all the developed countries. Euro lacks some backbones, because BCE has no the power a central bank must have, so eurozone countries are at a critical point. The crash of Euro will be a major disaster, not only in the eurozone countries but also in Great Britain, Sweden, USA. I'm not hilarous, I fear too much the future, I want a united Europe.
@CCCCrajkoCCCC Germany in the past ten years has growth up thanks to the Euro currency, because people from Spain buy things from German (in Euro). In a United Europe german people could be the more wealth because they work well and the other appreciate (and pay) it. I know Germany, once every months I spend a week or 10 days in D (I'm from I ). D-Mark was for 60mln (80mln) people Euro is for 330mln (4x) and is much more stronger
@MrTitian Are you joking with what you are saying.? Right Spanish could buy Mercedes, Audi and BMW with earning 1000,00 EUR/month, while on the other side in germany the real income was continously going down for the last 10 years. Instead of strengthening the local market where people only buy when they can actually afford a new car they just threw bananas to Spain, Portugal,Greece and so on. Euro had a short intense boost for german industrial companies but the german tax payer paid for it.
@MrTitian You cant unite people which dont share the same language, blood, culture ect. Yugoslavia showed us this only 20 years ago. So EU will fail and its not the fault of the people of Europe.
@clansman89 Education was much higher than in most EU States today. Nationalism came when the money went away. So same Story you will experience soon in your beloved EU. I am just guessing but the game is the same.
Yes! Let us celebrate the biggest failure of our time!! Hooray for the Euro!! Hooray for the unelected leaders in the european parlement!! Hooray Hooray!!! I'm so lucky to be european and live in Europe!! My life got so much better since the Euro!! Hooray!! More power to the EU, more power to the central bank!! Hooray!! No more foolish referendums!! Hooray!

As a dutchman i am hoping alterations to the Lisbon treaty will enable us to make good on the referendum we were denied after our government assured us our 'no' to the eu constitution would be heard. -it was not. sickening, misplaced and out of touch with reality, this EU propaganda. Its hard enough not to drive to Brussels (and then take a train to Strassbourg) and start firebombing, its not like they would listen otherwise
Pathetic!!! No more than that. They think about celebrating while the EuroZone (an other bullshit made by the MotherShit: European Commission) is sinking.
Last but not the least: Imagine a country with many presidents and it's always a confusion to represent thaat country abroad. THIS is Europe Folks!
Congratulations to the courageous men of states who helped Europe to build its common currency. We now need to push forward for more progress and build at last a European Federation.
I like the idea of the euro on paper and it would work just fine if not for countries fabricating their financial stats, but in the current situation this kind of crap just makes me angry.
Europe is not perfect, but it's a good thing that the euro exists. Much easier not to try to figure out what's the value of a foreign coin, so you won't get ripped off. Or having a coin which is so devaluated that you need a million unities to buy a cookie. What I don't like are those ridiculous 1 and 2 cents. Waste of resources if you ask me
Name me one nation state within the Eurozone that put allowed its own people a vote on whether they wanted to join this Disneyworld EUSSR currency? That's right, folks, not a single one did.
However, the EU countries that did put it to their people for a vote - Denmark and Sweden - both said, "No, thanks".
The monotonous voice over (as well as the robotic tone of Mario Draghi) merely serve to reinforce the fact that the EU is profoundly undemocratic and led by faceless bureaucrats.

When the euro was introduced, I was 10 years old. Back then it's main advantage to me was that is was more colourfull than our Deutsche Mark.
But now, ten years later I can fully cherish crysis, indebptedness, inflation and stagnation.
The euro seems to have unified everyone... against Germany. We seem to be the only ones who don't want to copy the failed american model of "simply print more"
And if someone wants to exchange notes at the bank of greece: Good luck getting through all the rioters.
EUROPE = economic prison = undemocratic unelected bureaucrat "government". People wake up, force your governments to leave this nonsense union while you still have some kind of national sovereignty (it wont last much longer).
@XmOkEy Nationalism is a path to destruction as surely as religion is. You can vote for anyone for European Parliament in direct elections, elected national ministers run the Council of the European Union. Where is the "undemocratic unelected" part?
@Saukko31 and IMPERIALISM is better? haha grow up.
Do you even have any basic understanding of economy? How can different cultures based on different levels of production and debt - use the same central bank? How do they debase? Idiot, this will fall just as the past three reich's. EUSSR will die, if they're smart they won't provoke the people any longer. We are civilized but not weak.
@Saukko31 'Elected Ministers run the Council of Europe'? You still believe that fiction? Forgetting of course that the Council is run by van Rompuy/Ashton, they count amongst their current members the puppet leaders Lucas Papandemos (Vice President of the European Central Bank from 2002 to 2010) and Mario Monti (European Commissioner from 1995 to 2004).
@Saukko31 The Commission (in itself an antidemocratic organisation since it includes a monopole of power for it controls both legislation and executive power) is NOT elected. The Members of the council are voted, but not AS member of the council.
My mayour is elected too does this give him the right to rule a country? No!
As long as the commission and the intransparent structures derived from it exist there will be crisis and mistrust in europe.
Kafka said there was hope, "but not for us". The one thing the fiat paper bank note had going for it was that, with the 500 note it became the paper currency of choice for drug smugglers and money launderers, due to the smaller paper mass required to hold and transfer. The euro is certainly worth its weight ... (IN PAPER)
“If you look at the troubles which happened in European countries, this is purely because of the accumulated troubles of the worn out welfare society. I think the labour laws are outdated. The labour laws induce sloth, indolence, rather than hardworking. The incentive system, is totally out of whack." - Jin Liqun, who has served as China’s deputy minister of finance and vice president of the Asian Development Bank, manages $400bn worth of the nation’s money through the sovereign wealth fund.
@prayfortruejustice I cant recall any country lost any sovereignty joining the EU. Losing sovereignty would mean that you lose your voice, while in the EU you got your representatives on all levels of EU governance. In the EU you combine your existing sovereignty with others and you are not giving it up.
