anyone who first heard this song on the dead space 2 trailer needs to reevaluate there life... how could you miss one of the best songs from the 90's?
I think this song is about the commercial exploitation of the whole Alternative Rock, Grunge, and Hard Rock movement of the late 1980s and 1990s as a whole. Billy, Jimmy, James, and Darcy are dressed in glam and glitter of rock stars, yet they are still in the same forced work camp as the men, and women who are doing the manual labor. The message is life really is Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness, I love The Smashing Pumpkins.
@975mas the feeling and meaning to it makes me think its a based around that topic, im not all into "ILLUMINATI" but i still think the government does all that stuff anyway
@elhollo Sadly MTV went down the shit hole and also stopped showing Alternative Nation. I remembered when hip-hop was not even mainstream, I honestly hate that genre of music.
@AdujantReflex i know. And dude, MTV was the shit for a time. It had shit like Metallica, Alternative, good rock stuff. Only shit stuff was rap-hip hop and pop music.

Good ol' Billy. With a song he can rip your heart out, show it to you and then replace it. And make it work even better.
