At the spot where he sings "Before I handed her her purse, I said you'll" your playing Am, then when he finished that line "only get this back on one" your playing Fmaj, then "condition" your on Dmaj. Keep in mind the song is in the key of Amaj, capoed 2nd fret in the chord positioning of Gmaj.
