  • Nice. Very nice.

  • @AliTheGOAT hahaha then is a good incentive to jump & don't hurt your feets

  • do the triple jumps, skipping like a boss

  • @AliTheGOAT He's manly!

  • great video!

  • @PkjXxX aww you seem a likkle mad? im guessing i hit a nerve then? sowwyy :(

  • @DyslexiaSkucs Ripped and charismatic he ain't, but apparently owns his own studio he does.

  • hurts badly without shoes

  • wear socks

  • Its more natural to jump with out shoes, try jump roping for ten minutes with your most comfortable pair of shoes, its gonna have a shooting pain in your archs, take your shoes off, its like your jumping on a tempurpedic matress

  • @AliTheGOAT I actually pull my big toenail back once.

  • @Ant45078 you aint lying! tell these fools wats up

  • @Ant45078 you aint lying! tell these fools

  • why

  • like a boxer lol

  • thanks dude i have had rope jumping problems 4 ever and now hopefully no more

  • Double skipping is really how you learn.

  • @AliTheGOAT

haha calm down I was joking man ;)

I might be small but you know what they say - the little ones are the crazy ones :D

  • i hope thats not how boxers skip! if it is i dont wanna know!!

  • Ken, thanks for the vid...although are you sure that you are a personal trainer? you looked like you were struggling to catch your breath after 10seconds of skipping + your feet are in a terribly wrong position and last but not least you are not fit enough to be a personal trainer.

  • Ok. No boxer skips rope like that ._.

  • lmao no shoes rofl

  • a female should have done this video... thumbs up if you know what I'm sayin'....

  • thanks for the tips.

  • does the rope dissapear when it hits the floor????????? O.o

  • @Debbita15 no.

  • Your rope is not good to jump you need to buy a new one.

  • I highly recommend using foot protection like shoes, because when you're starting with the jumping rope it can really heart when you hit your toes, but that's also a motivation to push it harder and get better at it

  • this has been alot of help dude thanks :P now i dont look like such a fail at mma :P

  • this has been alot of help dude thanks :P now i dont look like such a fail at mma :P

  • 90% haters in youtube and 10% real people.

  • Boxers dont jump rope like that. You're too stiff. The knees should be bent with more of the weight being absorbed by the knees and hips. Jumping rope for a boxer is just as much about ballances and weight transference as it is about conditioning.

  • jumping barefoot is painful...

  • @vaevictus

    He is on a mat.

  • wow your feet are ugly

  • @AliTheGOAT I usually just wear shorts when I speed rope. Gives me the incentive not to fail... when I do though, I have the marks in my back as proof:))))))))))))

  • I was 205.066th viewer. WOW! :)

  • I was 205.066th viewer. WOW! :)

  • Awesome video dude!! You're the man.

  • I was 200,000th viewer, wow

  • @pfuentes90 I love you. Pass it on.

  • @pfuentes90 Such harsh words. Someone needs a hug.

  • I jump rope without shoes all the time. It's not a big deal

  • I can do it much better =)

  • Dude you're an amazing rope jumper. You look like you're floating. I suck at it, but will practice the tips you spoke about. Thanks.

  • Thumbs up if he reminds you to Glenn Jacobs (Kane).

  • @Ant45078 AMEN.

  • i don understand whats wrong with not having shoes, cant you guys take some pain

  • No Way in hell i would do that without shoes

  • got to respect him for jumping rope with bare feet lol.

  • @sanjaysrevolutions lol thats all i do leather ropes have a sharper sting but it goes away quick a speed rope has a rather blunt sting that lasts for a while

  • @Ant45078 i agree

  • I think he does a good job at teaching...

  • @kerrybynoe amen!

  • Jumping rope is totally not coming easily to me. I really appreciated this video. Thanks.

  • Gooooooood :D

  • @luciferdy9 They are the same thing, Americans say Jump rope whereas the British say Skipping rope.

  • @luciferdy9 They are the same thing. Jump rope is a very American way to say Skipping rope as the British would say.

  • @143shambles oh, thanks! :)

  • @luciferdy9 Any time.....

  • @MainlyFlames haha

  • I always thinks hes gonna say "How to jump rope lika a boss!"

  • This guy sucks. He does not look like he has jump roped or boxed a day in his life. He looks like he has spend a lot of time at In-And-Out-Burger though..

  • If you jump like 500 jumps how long is it with a bike? please answer.

  • @diaboloelectronics 500 jumps is not so many if you consider at a moderate pace you would be swinging the rope at around 2-3 revs each second. Lets call it 2.5 revs, that means in 3 minutes and 20 seconds you are at 500. Its said that 5 minutes jumping is equivalent to 2 miles running, if you jump fast. Cycling would take a little longer to get the same calorie burn. This is a rough guestimate, hope it helps......

  • @oziboxa I couldn't agree more. There are several videos on here that really look as though the "expert" learned this morning how to barely swing the rope and then gets all excited and has to post a video to show off their "expertise". This is actually the worst example of someone offering to teach when they cannot jump at all. Clearly no experience!

  • @143shambles

Why don't you post YOUR OWN video with the correct way of doing it?

  • @cloningprocess Yes I think I should.

  • IT ALL START WITH THE BASICS THANKS

  • that was helpful cuzo, people that are downing this vid are fat queers

  • He looks like the guy off Full Metal Jacket LOL

  • @MainlyFlames HAHAHAHAHAHA... right ON!

  • I really don't want to insult this guy and i wanna bet that he is a good trainer but the video is really crap man. HE CAN'T JUMP ROPE!!

  • @BALKANnnnn wtf did this guy do wrong or bad?

  • @BremeniRosta Well, i would say BAD.

  • He looks like Phillip Rivers.

  • Thank you i just bought one today!!!

  • I am curious does it really matter if you do all the fancy moves? I am to tall for a normal jump rope so I use a TV cable and some handles. So being that its heavy and stiff it works great for normal jumps just not much else. I am 6'3 btw and 12 foot ropes force me to leap full jump to avoid.

  • @Twisted86

i'm 6'3 as well and a 3m long rope does me fine.....Are you sure you're doing it right?

  • I did jump rope today and lasted only 30 sec or so and I mess up 5 times and quitted, thnx for this video. I'll use any tip I can get to improve my training even though I'm a rookie atm.

  • @DriftKing781 yeah dude, im the same...keep practicing tho, its the only way to get better...

  • im not that good at it yet..... but i had a "magical" moment in the gym one time...... i managed to get an insane speed on the rope...... that was awesome... lol

  • philippine flag!

  • dam... i cnt figure out how 2 coordinate my jumpin so i cn do 2 spins around me on one jump... do i need 2 jump higher!? i think this guy did 2 spins nd then one... HELP ME!!!!

  • @killedbysticks keep practicing. You need good body coordination in order to do doubles. I can do triples a few times on leathers. I might be able to do them consecutively with nylons. Tip: Get smooth nylon speed ropes for those tricks. Leather will last longer though. Prepare ahead for the doubles. Explode.

  • Thanks for your video.. I'm hypothroid and get fatigued very quickly when I excersize and I can only skip for a minute with my personal trainer. I want to learn to skip like a boxer and never knew how to. Now I will use this video as a guide and practice! Thanks!

  • @vibit7 Lol i can do 2 seconds straight now, im getting worse and worse every day!

  • I always trip up when I try to do a cross, do I cross as I'm bring the rope back down or when the rope is already by my waist? Also what's a good size jump rope for me, I'm 5'7 and I have a 9 ft jump rope. Is that a good size?

  • I can skip for about 45seconds without stopping doing single-jumps, or just 2mins with double-skips..

I can skip for about 1min 30secs without getting tired..

Looks like I need to practise

    -PS, i'm 12.

  • awesome. I definitely learned from this! :)

  • Ken, thank you so much for the demo...I jump rope but have been wanting to jump like a boxer...will have a go at this at the gym in the morning....again many thanks!

  • @Imperativism lmao! so true!

  • @70chevyc10 yeah i know right! i feel the same way man.

  • he kinda looks like mike golic...idk probably just me :\

  • Hi Ken, I'm just getting started with jump rope training. Thanks for a great video on the basics, will work on them and then progress into more advanced training.

  • thanx for the video

  • ive been a boxer for only 2 weeks now haha and i can do this now :D just takes practise and a hardcore russian old guy as your coach ;P

  • Thanks Ken, I am looking to work jumping rope into my training.. And your video answered most of my questions. Thanks for posting.

  • thanks, we did this as a starter in kickboxing and i couldn't do more than 2 at a time

  • @kerrybynoe hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah thats hilarious!

  • thank you very much :)

  • Nice video and the man have good technique. My only advice would be: DON'T skip barefoot like he does.

Trust me. That is NOT for beginners. You will hit your feet often in the beginning and a rope turning fast HURTS.

    Good luck!

  • @MainlyFlames LMAO!!!!

  • @AngeredsBC u may want to buy a fire proof jump rope. f u cant because u dont have the money try socking the rope in water before and after 5 minutes of skipping. good luck and dont stop smocking. The smocker are the one that pay 60% tax in the US. AKA school

  • @AngeredsBC LOLOL

  • @AngeredsBC LOL now that is hilarious

  • @IXIWineIXI LOL ...

  • jump rope is king of all excercise

heck even Bruce Lee do it

  • @slier81 did it..

  • i got injured like a month ago while doing some heavy bicep curls and couldnt lift my arm up as i was getting pain in my shoulder. the pain eventually went completly away after 2 weeks but whenever i try do some jump ropes it starts hurting again, does anybody have any idea of what this injury can be? is it tendon muscle or what?

  • @neenapee Surely the obvious solution would be to go to a doctor rather than ask uneducated people on youtube? This is in no way me being a prick or saying everyone on here is dumb, but come one. If you have injured yourself then go to the doctor and try and get a scan if its ligament or tendon's that are affected.

  • @Morrell84 lol tru tru.

  • @neenapee LOL makes more sense dude, plus if you have a ligament tear you are just going to make it worse. So best get it looked at

  • How do you practice up to crossing your hands in front of you?

  • @luckeytherteen 200 EVERY day isn't great either. Your muscles need rest.

But yes, 100% agree about the concrete.

  • Thanks man real help!

  • come on shouldnt you be a boxer before you give tips about boxing. the only boxing this guys has seen is ice cream boxes. no one wants to be a dik but guys like this make money showing gullible people these atrocities. screw you exprt village

  • wow this isn't boxing skipping.. argh fails

  • Hi, SuperJump2010 &

SuperJumpTwo2010, on YouTube, A 4 &1/2 feet vertical, over 2000 views, Amazing videos

  • I like how he suggests to practice the studder jump at first. That's the bad habbit that prevents people from learning how to skip the right way. When I first learned how to skip rope, I couldn't improve until I trained myself out of the studder jump.

  • any tips on how to execute cross overs? and dont tell me to cross my arms either.

  • well... cross your arms. sry dude but thats it ?!

  • yeah but when doing the cross should my arms be whipped across or just causally crossed? I always screw it up. i got the arm crossing part but some how the rope isnt clearing

  • The way i do it is that i start the cross as soon as my hands are up and the rope is going over my head. follow the cross all the way down until you jump over the rope then straighten your arms out as soon as the rope goes over your head again. It takes time, i suggest you start by building up a rhythm. Peace

  • @hallmonitor98 Keep your hands low (a lot of people try jumping higher and raise their hands) and cross at your elbows not your forearms. Try 10 skips then a right over left arm cross then 10 skips and a left over right cross. Decrease the amount of skips in between as you get better.

  • Yea, he doesn't look to visual appealing jumping rope, weird style.

  • He needs to use a longer skipping rope and jump even higher off the ground. Maybe use two people? Ya know... like boxers do.

    Benjamin Franklin went to France

To teach the ladies how to dance.

First the heel, and then the toe,

Spin around and out you go.

  • @ BurhanKurashi

    wheres your jump rope video?

  • @joshboy1001

And where's your jump rope video??

  • @socalpugilist so wheres ur jump rope video

  • @BOBSQUERE

ya, where is your jump rope video??

  • @BurhanKurashi i dont have one but yet again im not the one on here saying his technique is horrible wen i dont have a vedio to talk

  • @BOBSQUERE

    Right.

  • yea his wrist motion is weird...

  • Doesn't matter if your a boxer or not. just don't bend you legs like what he did and ppl with thing of you like a pro. He's tips are okay and useful. Overall the vid is funny. LOL!

  • haha dude, you're so right, there's no grace what so ever

  • When i jump i hurt at Appendicitis ... why is that happening?

  • ask your doctor for an operation

  • Dude I'm not a doctor or expert of anything but I felt those pain when I was younger like 20. And after months of jogging from low intensity to high intensity I didn't notice it was gone now. I just turned 24 this month. It will go away just do not force yourself. You will improve eventually, just take your time patiently.

  • thank you very much

  • tnx

  • thanks this helps a lot, i'll be moving soon so hopefully i can start exercising properly again

  • thanks dude this helps alot

  • lol this isn't even how boxers skip.

  • i agree with chevy, this guy is a hardcore fitness dude, i mean he knows what he's talking about

  • damn...im gettin good at it alraedy! Thanx for the tip dude!

  • LOL! tramp!

  • so will this help my foot work?

  • yes!

  • It will man, but i would say that for myself anyways, alternate foot skipping has been more useful for my footwork

  • This is the worst video i've come across on...yet

  • I'll join you on that dude! We can show these fools whats up by breakin their bones!

  • this guys got rickets!

  • a kung fu master would not speak like a stupid cunt, you"re a master of nowt! bruce lee wannabe...

  • i saw that in the Panda master film. Wonder if anybody is still doing kung Fu stuff

Nobody is even using some of it in mma

Oh crane and snakes and monkies!

  • so wy do you see the video . lol fukyou

  • I mostly do 3 minutes normal 1 minute fast on and off for 4 times .... that makes 16 minutes wich is more then enough ...

  • his form is poor, richysowerby is right his feet are too far apart, he is jumping way too high, he is going too slow, and he has no shoes(dumb idea) if you want to see real jumproping watch floyd mayweather

  • I'm not sure whether it's obvious or not, but this was, of course, a reply to 'richysowerby', the greatest skipper on the planet O_o

  • ha ha ha lets get something straight here kida al put a vid of me skipping on here and you do have to keep on yi toes just like in a boxing match keep on yi toes you retard

  • this cunt is skipping like an ameture look at how far his feet are apart

  • jumping rope shoeless will really bust the knees, always jump with shoes. and they also said that to prevent injuries, one should jump low, just enough for the rope to pass through.

  • I certainly agree with you!!! jumping with shoes helps to absorb the shock. Also, you are correct with the low jumping. If you see professional boxers, it seems like sometimes they don't even jump because they jump so low.

  • so how many sets of jump rope should i do a day to get a good exercise?

  • poor

  • well, I would seriously doubt the seriousness of that vid since I always always heard not to jump rope shoesless, except if you want to destroy your ankles and metatarsus, even on a gym/foam carpet...but I could be wrong.

  • he looks so heavy.

  • My dead dog could have made a better instructional video

  • now THAT'S A VIDEO I WANNA SEE

  • this is probably the best video i've seen yet, he actually tells you how to be a n00b, and work your way up to being pr0.
