The song is upbeat, but especially the beginning with the pair in the bed is somehow painfully to watch for me. I mean, I hate when I cant sleep well and roll around in the bed restless and its to hot to sleep.
HMHB is one of the best satirical rock bands ever... I love this song. I really enjoyed the video too. It took me a minute to figure out that the guy wasn't actually Jack Nance. xD
haha i just watched this for the umteenth time and I'm still lovin it! The concept of a hmhb song in the style of george formby set to a lynchian movie parody blows my mind !! It's so utterly bizarre yet it works just beautifully. many thanks to all responsible!
Very nice one! It really captures the atmosphere of Lynch's movie and doesn't feel over-acted nor fake. If it weren't for the music, I'm sure it would be as unsettling as the original.
Oh this is just superb, straight to favourites. It's kinda like, Lynch meets Kaurismäki's - The Leningrad Cowboys or something. Love it, and love the actor playing Eraserhead, imitates the facial expressions just perfectly
That was freaking phenomenal. Thankyou for posting and all the hard work to make this piece of art. How'd you make "the baby"? I suppose you ain't gonna talk about that either, are ya? Wonderful. Thanks again! Great song, too.
Thanks for that :-) The baby was made in LIPA college in Liverpool by students who did a great job on all the sets and props in the video. (They made a cast and used latex for it)
i looked them up cause i found a 12" record by them in loft , must have been who lived in house before me . its got all little mad pics on it like a dog havin a shit an stuff !
i used to be a big fan in the eighties, only just rediscovered them! going to see them in Edinburgh on 1st October. Class Eraserhead parody/pastiche/homage.
I did toy with pastiche but went for the humorous or imitation of a serious piece type of definition; although I see your point as the patiche thing of borrowing motifs from one or more sources does apply...Hmm
I can't stop watching this lol, excellent song and a brilliant video, especially as it pays homage to one of the best films and directors of all time :) Cheers for making my day.
How on earth have they remained so funny and original (and unheard of except for the lucky few) for 20+yrs will never cease to amaze me. i personally would put them on the NHS, nobody would ever get depressed listening t the mighty Biscuits!
Half Man Half Biscuit are the best band in the world. This video is obviously based on the David Lynch film "Eraserhead". The Jack Nance hairstyle is great.
Brilliant :) Love it. Great song too - love the biccies :)

Did you have to re-create the baby thing, or was it just clips from the original? I've kind of always wondered how they made it.
Anyway, brilliant!
