sadly now a days the only way is trought xlink-kai but i dont think that there are many MH dos players on xlink-kai since evrybody is playing either MH tri(on they'r wii ofc) or MHU .....CAPCOM shut down the original network servers for both mh1 for ps2 and mh2(dos)

Spears. I haven't played since MH1 shut down, but if I remember correctly Spears and Hammers are the best against a Kirin. Black Dragon Spear or w/e was the most common used. But yeah, mainly any Dragon Type Spear/Hammer is best.

Possibly, Kirin is a hard enough monster when it comes to getting used to its moves, colour variations usually cary the moves a bit, so you'd have to get used to that.

you do have to be near someone but it is really fun, first get the first version of this game so it makes sens. play it a little bit so get the concept of it and then get the next one. once u kill the tigrex in the second one the game is so stinking fun dude. a key to the game is get good armour and improve ur weps as much as u can, then upgrade ur armour, once u do tat the game is really fun, in the third u can have a cat hunt with u it is nasty, so get the game, u wont regret it dude.
