  • Old age? Iggy is still king tone!

  • Past his prime, isn't he? he would need to be 30 years younger I guess lol

  • @Gameguru667 past his prime? really? I will put 60 year old Iggy up against ANY band you wanna name and he will blow them off the fucking stage. he will probably do it at 70 too. Iggy is a muthafuckin' rock and roll machine

  • James FUCKING Williamson!

  • I saw Iggy and the Stooges debut this album in Feb. or March 1973 at the old Ford Auditorium in Detroit. One of the best concerts i've ever seen.

  • THANX FOR POSTING THIS!!!

James is KILLER.so is Iggy and the rest of the guys.

How can guys pushing 60yrs old rock harder than just about any rock band on trhe planet? I got it.---------Because they invented the shit......

  • James Williamson is a monster !

  • One of their best songs :)

Is this the same place where Nirvana played in 1993?

  • @MyNegativeCreep No. Nirvana played on Hollywood Rock Festival, and the show on YouTube was in Rio de Janeiro(Apoteose square). Hollywood Rock was discontinued (the last:1996) because it was sponsored by one tobacco company.

  • raw power is the stooges at their best...and it's williamson who's bringing the death mother fuckin' trip, baby!!!

  • this is good, but i believe the original stooges had way much of a raw power...I ve seen the stooges in 2006, original line up except for mike watts...unforgettable...

  • good

  • him is bent

  • Thanks for posting this. I bought the Raw Power album in the late 1970s, the very same day I tried smack for the first time...

They look old, Iggy - once the sexiest kid in R&R - now looks almost grotesque.. but there's something glorious here, a saga of self-affirmation & survival, a sort of victory... Howlin' Wolf as an old man, in the late '70s - when The Stooges were legend and James Williamson the devil incarnate - was like this..

You're going to dance to the beat of the living dead..

  • @kidcalabria

If James (Iggy) hadn't done so many drugs, etc., he'd still look great. He was very good looking, as you implied.

Actually, he looks pretty good in this video... I guess it's because his hair is fixed right.

I understand your point, though. I spite, of the sleaze, the drugs, the mental illness (or the appearance of mental illness, at times, talking about Iggy again) onstage; there was also usually something heroic about the stooges. Musically speaking. They scaled the heights !

  • @psychkoala

If Iggy hadn't done drugs he wouldn't be Iggy, and The Stooges wouldn't have done their music. R&R and drugs, and indeed art, are often inseparable. Hendrix was a genius and certainly an influence on Ron Asheton's style, and his music is all about a "cosmic" view of life, a mind open by LSD. I'm sick of hearing this square, boring, prohibitionist & reactionary views about R&R & drugs. Use and abuse, the law, the difference among drugs are key. Iggy looks the way he does 'cos of age

  • @kidcalabria

"Iggy looks the way he does 'cos of age"

    You really believe that ?

  • sounds strange.... is the bass out of tune?

  • @falco51

The whole world is out of tune. ; )

  • @psychkoala It's punk. Not as important as the attitude.

  • AAAAAH FOI MARAVILHOSOOOO FODA

  • F@#K

  • Crocodile Dandy (oops)
