I had a 2006 600rr and with only a few mods I hit 186 mph in 6th gear @ 16,500rpms on a slight decline grade. I dont know how fast that was but it was definitely real !

my rr had akrapovic, and the max of mine was 268 or something, i only reached 274 one time.

yah speedos are off to a degree & newer bikes are more & more accurate than they use to be,the new vfr is suppose to be dead accurete ,it might be wrong but you dont know how modded it is,it might have high compression big bore pistons with race cams & or gearing , he might weight 125lbs. you never know : /

annddd this is an example of how EVERY single bike manufacturer naturally makes there speedos read significantly higher than actual speed. i.e my 2007 zx6r with pwc3 and exhaust said i was doing 181, while my buddy was pacing me in his m3 and his speedo read 171. bike speedos lie as does this one

otherwise I'm lucky if I hit 180 on a straight road with less than optimal air in the tires.

pumping up the tires to their max makes a HUGE difference... same as the direction of the wind.

Most modern sports bikes speedometers are off by 10-15% so probably only 250km (which is quick) unless speedo has been calibrated.
