The show is neat but if you watch it again now the plots and puzzles seem shallow. Theres no real buildup, she will instantly collect a piece of sawdust, some cloth and make a "brilliant deduction".  For people who like to solve puzzles a lot this show is frustrating because I dont really have a chance to solve the puzzle on my own at all.

Watched this terrific show in my senior year in high school. GREAT times.

The theme with the violin, an homage to Holmes, is just beautiful. The stories were very well constructed. Characters- well done producers!

While cleaning my closet, I found tapes that I recorded of the show...so happy I did so. Now I can remember those days while watching!....I miss Canada.

@Perktube1 I think "Sherlock" is an amazing modern application and update of the Holmsian genre keeping to the essence of Holmes.

Sherlock Holmes wasn't meant to be a quaint look at how Victorians looked at crime in London, but to see a plausible superhero of a detective operate in the contemporary world and solve crimes, though fantastic in design, would never the less be entirely plausible in our world. And that is exactly what "Sherlock" gives us.
