LaFell is one of the most overlooked/underrated #2 receivers in the league. He has snatched some amazing catches that I didn't think he was gonna get. He's got some sticky hands. Naanee? Not so much. I wouldn't mind picking up another #3 receiver to replace him to make our passing game that much more stronger. LaFell is it though. He'll get the notoriety he deserves in 2012. PS: Guess who holds the franchise record for longest receiving TD? LaFell does...but obviously Smitty can't be touched.

I Think Gettis will be The num2 Reciever nxt Year Juss thinking about it Seem kind of Similar with Pittsburgh with hines Ward,wallace,and Brown.also Gettis is 6'3 so he'll b an Major effect in the end zone,
@nflpanthersO7 He's very clutch, but LaFell is nowhere near smitty's level. With a double team on smith, I might take Lafell in a clutch moment. Panthers still have Gettis though , who last year was the best rookie on the panthers roster. I'd probably go Smitty, Gettis slightly, then LaFell.
@valleythunder35 no way Gettis is over Lafell, although Gettis may be the fastest receiver on the roster Lafell still runs better routes and does great in jump ball situations as well as catching in traffic. Our receiver core will be fine for awhile, smitty still plays like hes in his mid 20's. Lets just hope Legedu Naanee isnt on the roster next year.
i think LaFell and Gettis both have very bright futures. I'm not sure if either are a replacement for Smitty down the line, but they are very good players
