I find this opening scarier than the 1st film. Not only does this pumpkin have larger, more evil eye sockets, but when it splits in half it reveals an terrifying skull.

John Carpenter and Alan Howarth did very well with the score. Instead of the tradition keyboard used in the original, a synthezier organ was used here. Very forboding and made "II" stand out.

Part 2 of "Halloween" is also good. The music is amazing. The main title is also interesting (another version of Halloween Theme from Part 1).
