well, sasuke's design kinda sucks when you look at the only other one in the series, Madara's that is a actual mix of the two designs, the bars from Izuna's and the center is Madara's original MS. Sasuke's is his......with a weird little 3 pronged star.....wtf? Itachi's was a pinwheel with curved prongs, sasuke's is straight! I see nothing contributed by itachi's eyes in sasuke's EMS, none.

@montyhack1 as i understand it, its not that he has itachi's eyes, but that in order to get the Eternal Mangekyou you need to combine two different mangekyou together.

so no matter how badly "damaged" they may be, combining them in a sense makes a perfect new set of eyes.....i may be horribly wrong but like i said, its just how i came to understand it

The way Sasuke's eyes are drawn makes sense. The idea is that the patterns are mixed together, but the owner's pattern is more dominant so a small detail from the previous owner's eyes is retained and put onto the design. It doesn't matter if they don't look as awesome as you thought (crying over the design... really?) but it's supposed to make sense not be awesome.
