  • what can you say ,only BEAUTIFULL voice and song

  • The tune was written by Joseph Parry born in Merthyr Tydfil as a tribute to his childhood sweetheart Myfanwy Llewellyn,a Merthyr girl whose father was blinded in The Cyfarthfa Works.

  • Is there a possibility to get this song COMPLETE as a MP3 sung by her? By the way: who is she anyway?

  • Extraordinary voice on this girl. Marvelous! One teeny thing: this is a love song from a man to a woman, so it's best sung by a man, or by men. Other than that teeny neg, this is truly a lovely job. Diolch yn fawr, fach.

  • Not really a love song. He is lamenting the fact that she is cold towards him. Beautiful melody. But it really should be sung by a man; you are right.

  • Haunting melody. Beautiful voice.

  • This was my tadgu favourite song, its such a beautiful song!!

  • Can a fu yn angladd fy nhadcu a rhaid i mi gyfafedd mae'n well wedi ei ganu gyda gwryw ac nid benyw!

  • Gwych. Diolch o galon

  • Lovely song! Does anyone know the words to this? And what it means in ENglish, so I don't have to look it up :P

  • why is it anger o myfanwy

That fills your eyes so dark and clear?

your gentle cheeks, o sweet Myfanwy,

Why blush they not when i am near,

where is the smile when once so tender

kindled my love so fond, so true

where is the sound of your sweet words

that drew my heart to follow you.

  • what have i done o my myfanwy

to earn your frown what is my blame

was it just play my sweet myfanwy

to set your poets love aflame

you truly were to me once promised

is it too much to keep your part

i wish no more your hand myfanwy

if i no longer have your heart

  • myfanwy may you spend your lifetime

    beneath the midday sunshines glow

and on your cheeks o may the roses

dance for a hundred years or so

forget now all the words of promise

you made to one who loved you well

give me your hand my sweet myfanwy

but one last time to say "farewell"

  • Thank you! :)
