  • how do you start it out the car?

  • @TomlinMetal

I updated the video info to tell people how to do this. I'm asked that question a lot :)

  • we have a 68 Olds Rocket 350 and it is still running like new. LONG LIVE THE OLDSMOBILE!

  • I want those heads =P

  • Nice job keepin the olds alive. I 've got a 68 olds myself but not the delmont, i have the US delta 88 with a rocket 455 nad even with 115,000 miles on it(everything stock except edlebrock olds 455 performer manifold and holly 4 barrel double pumper card) it still has plenty of balls.

  • hey dude i have a question i think its a 350 rocket im sure it is but when i orderd valve covers for it they send it with 5 holles on each side 10 wholes total on each one but when u went to put them on the valve covers only had 3 holes on botom and 2 on top wondering how many a rocket realy has wana bee sure on the motor thanks

  • Some aftermarket Valve covers only have 5 bolts on the vavle cover, they should work on the 10 bolt heads. Typically Olds motors after 64 had 10 bolts on each vavle cover. SBC only have 4

  • Don't know. Maybe the width of the motor? the way the head ports are shaped? The type of cam used?

  • I've always wondered what gives Olds engines that deep mellow sound? Is it the siamese exhaust ports? They have their own sound. Just curious..Opinions? Sounds great!

  • dont overheat it. or at least pour a little water in the pump while its running.

  • hey,i just took out a 350 rocket from my dads 1970 olds with him. everything is origonal and he has the owners manual somewhere but cant find it. we were wondering if u knew what these things run for hp stock. cuz we r gonna rebuild it soon and want to kno wat we should aim for power wise. im also not sure what year ur motor is, the cast number on ours is 3955582 and the block is GM 380001lh, but jugding by ur heads its a rocke becuz the signiture color is gold for rockets, they are similar in hp

  • Where did you get the 380001 number? under the #1 spark plug? If so the "8" would stand for 1968

  • If it is a 1970 350 it has anywhere from 250-325 horsepower depending on which carb or exhaust system you had

  • hey keep your ass out of the camera! jkjk nice video

  • Or else I will put my size 11 through the screen and kick it..

  • What does it take to get a carborated motor to run out of a car like that? i ask because i am looking for a new motor for my truck and found several that SUPPOSEDLY run but i'd like to make sure. thanks

  • All you gotta do is run a fuel line to the carb and the other end to a fuel can with about a gallon of gas. Run a battery to the disturbitor, and touch the wires together for the dis and the starter and if it runs, it will fire right up

  • alright sounds easy enough thanks

  • can you tell me in detail how to start it out of the car, and where is the radiator man?

  • 2 comments up. No radiator in this video. You can run it without, but not long. You'll need to change the oil and run an engine cleaning soultion thru it. It's part Kerosene, but I'm not sure of the breakdown or what the other chemicals are

  • Whats leaking by the Oil Filter

  • That is the tranny lines to the raditor

  • I had an olds delmont 88 1967 425 with a 400turbo-hydro matic tranny posi rear end. We would go off road put it to the floor and shoot dual 100 foot mud rooster tails. We called her "our lady of blessed acceleration..

  • o dAmn wheres the radiator?

  • And lose the TH350...A T56 is better

  • It has a th400 tranny and runs awesome in the car now, check out my other videos

  • sweet, and good finally worked out! and its a very nice thougt to have an engine from a 68 delmont in your current ride, it was one beautiful car with an awesome engine. cheers!

  • Gotta get the stalling fixed...

  • well, good luck with that engine.

  • Awesome

  • it wouldn't start either... i was concerned
