Nice vid! I walked from Jiri to Base Camp and back to Lukla in 1994 alone..it was a slog(4 weeks of dahl bhat and boiled spuds)..the views are something you will never see in other parts..but the Tibetans walking to India to see the Dali Lama impressed me the most..months walking to see him..dressed in their crimson wraps..something special..
Do you use any travel agent or arranger? Do you mind sharing it with us? Cause too many travel agent/service online, we do know which one is the good and relibale one. Thanks.
one question how the hell do you keep all your camera and video camera batteries charged? do guest houses on the way have all power supplies one can use at any time?
@ioplk90 Yes, the tea houses have power outlets. You need to pay for it though! Generally, the higher you get the more expensive things become. Cheers
good summary of your trip. I was there in 2006, and we were in the snow for much of the time. Unforgettable trek, but hard work, even for a fit individual.
I'm leaving next week. Traveling with a guide and a porter. I'm 58 and a bit creeky, I sure hope that I can do it! love Buddhism and love the Himalayas. I feel blessed to live this dream.
that almost covers the trip we did last october, so amazing, anyone who isn't sure, do it! and let the lessons teach you forever, you'll see what i mean.
Great video, but sad song because i understand nepali, well i am Nepali:) . Last year i wanted to do this trip but unfortunately couldnt do it but instead we did A.B.C. By the way, which month would be the best month for the beginner :)? Take care
The song is by a band of which our guide was part of. I know the song is called "jaagay" and i think the bands name is spelt "KOHO" but am unsure as the cover art is in Nepalese?? If i can find out more i'll let you know! Cheers
